  We have an old farm from the 1600 until 1950 it was a large farm with 130 hectares of land belonging to it. Since my grandparents did buy it 1963 as a split up farm today we have 1 hectare land around the houses belonging to the property. We grow up in Italy and every summer we did visit the grandparents so we have a strong feeling for this place.
  We decided to move from Italy to take over the farm in order to maintain the cultural and historical values left.
  
  We try to grow some vegetables during the short season and for that we really need help.
  From our farm it's possible to use kayak paddling along the river flowing by giving the opportunity to discover the nearby lakes Dellen or downstream towards the sea. There is a lot of tracking routes around us. Wintertime there are great opportunities to make skiing both slalom and cross country skiing. During autumns and springs we often have amazing conditions for long distance ice skating on the sea or on the lakes in our area.
  We are located 12 km from Hudiksvall a smaller harbor city by the sea, we are well connected by bus to Hudiksvall from where it is easy to go by train or long distance bus to Stockholm and other cities.

  During the years we have had so many interesting visitors from workaway, we have thought them how to do different works being present at first but letting them try their skills and feel the improvement. One comment we often get is the peace of mind that you experience at our place. Our family is already multicultural so we love to meet people from all over the world. If you stay with us one thing you will learn for shore is how important it is to preserve the cultural heritage of this farm and understand the amazing work that has been done in the past to create amazing buildings.

  In this historical farm with a big garden there are multiple tasks to do all the year around, in the beginning of the year January, February and mid March the days are short and there is a lot of snow so the main tasks in this period is bringing in wood to the houses to keep the heat, shoveling snow and helping in the houses with general maintenance.
  In spring time April and May most of the efforts is the clean up of the garden trimming trees, start to cut the woods for the next coming winter season, usually it has to be done before mid June. When the weather gets warmer there is also painting jobs and minor projects of renovation under the guidance of Henrik, it is enough to have a DIY mindset. May and June the grass is growing so much that we need to trim twice a week so a lot of help is needed. This period is one of the most amazing as the days are really long with 17-24 hours of daylight.
  
  Summer from mid June to mid August is a perfect period to help with renovation of windows and painting, finishing the wood stacks, we also have blueberry picking in the forest in July and part of august.
  
  Autumn is the berry and mushroom picking season and we often go in the forest to find as much as we can apart from picking in the garden, so we make marmalade, and cut bigger fruits to freeze it for later use. When it starts to get colder mid to end of October we start making fire in the houses so the wood need to be brought in the houses.
  Winter November and December we go back to the short days and there is shoveling snow, repairing things that can be done even if it is cold.
  
  During 2024 we are up to some more particular projects that need carpentry assistance with a bit of knowledge in this area.
  One building needs to be lifted and we need to change the bottom beams and fix the roof in some parts.
  The buildings of the farm has over 100 windows and many of them need to be scraped and repainted it is done with flax seed oil painting the old way and we have all the instructions to do it easy.

  Winter time room in the main house with one shared toilet, summer time the rooms are also in other buildings depending how many workaways we have. The toilet with shower is across the garden in the ground floor of the main house. The rooms are simple with electricity and with free wi fi connection.

  During time off, you can visit the beautiful region of Hälsingland, visiting the other farms part Unesco world heritage sites, taking walks in the big forests close to us picking berries or mushrooms, sports activities as kayak paddling along the river flowing by giving the opportunity to discover the nearby lakes Dellen or downstream towards the sea, using one of our bicycles to discover the country side roads. There is a lot of tracking routes around us. Wintertime there are great opportunities to make skiing both slalom and cross country skiing
