My friend Arielle and I had an incredible experience staying with Connie and Wolfgang and their seven adorable dogs. From the very first day, we felt very welcome (especially in the caravan, which has a very comfortable bed). Their seven dogs are all adorable in their own way, and you'll get to cuddle them every day. The tasks were always varied. We were able to build a bamboo roof, plant different things, build insect hotels... , always with the help and advice of Connie and Wolfgang. We were able to enjoy Connie's delicious vegan meals every day, which I miss. We were able to take advantage of our days off to visit the surrounding area, including Olympia, but also the trails in the surrounding countryside, which is absolutely beautiful. What I remember most about this exchange is how kind this couple is (maybe if you get sick, you too will be treated to Connie's miracle carrot soup). I highly recommend visiting Connie and Wolfgang in this little corner of paradise in the Peloponnese, and I would like to thank them for their warm welcome during these three weeks.

I had the best time staying at Orchard Point. Peter is a really sweet and considerate host, and is always making sure that the stay is as comfortable as possible. The lifestyle of such a remote area and living so close to nature was a first for me, and I can honestly say I am a changed man after the experience. The land and nature surrounding Anderson Lake is so beautiful, I can assure you I will be returning, if Peter and the gang will have me. P.S. I also need to mention Rob, who is a real card and a good teacher.

Il lavoro può risultare faticoso, ma lavorare a contatto con la natura è rigenerante e ho imparato davvero tanto in termini di agricoltura ecologica.Valeria ha un'energia contagiosa, mille idee e molta creatività, è sempre disponibile ad aiutarti e a condividere momenti come una chiacchierata o un bagno al mare. Sono stata benissimo con lei e la sua famiglia, compresi i bellissimi gatti.Consiglio quest'esperienza a chiunque voglia scoprire se stesso attraverso la bellezza e la semplicità della natura, in un ambiente sereno e stimolante per la creatività. Nous avons eu le grand plaisir d’accueillir Jade dans notre centre, et ce fut une expérience exceptionnelle. Jade est une personne admirable : dynamique, bienveillante et toujours souriante. Elle a fait un travail remarquable en enseignant le français à nos étudiants, avec beaucoup de passion, de patience et de créativité. Les apprenants l’ont beaucoup appréciée et ont énormément progressé grâce à son engagement et à sa méthode. Nous gardons un très bon souvenir de son passage parmi nous et nous espérons sincèrement la revoir un jour. Merci infiniment, Jade, pour ta gentillesse et ton professionnalisme.

It was truly a pleasure having him as part of our team! He was very friendly with the students — they absolutely loved him. He was always ready to help anytime and showed great flexibility with the schedule qnd everything . His positive energy made a big difference, not only with the students but also with the staff and other volunteers. He adapted quickly, worked with passion, and brought creativity and fun to every session. We highly recommend him to any future hosts — you’ll be lucky to have him on your team!

I looked after Pascal and Bene's finca during the summer of 2025 while they were away on holiday. For me it was a pleasure to stay in such a wonderful location and learn so much about permaculture, chickens, vanilla and generally life on a finca. It was a truly enriching experience. I was very comfortable in the rustic facilities, it had everything I needed and allowed me to live closely with nature, despite actually being really close to the town, the sea, etc. Although the work itself involved in looking after a finca is quite a lot, I was still able to remote work, and enjoy my afternoons at the beach, around town or visiting nearby areas. Plus this part of Tenerife is wonderful. I truly recommend this experience to anyone who is keen to learn from nature, permaculture, and lovely people with a great vision- and get their hands dirty of course! Thanks Pascal and Bene

Tom and Tam stayed a few weeks with us and we ve been really happy with their help and presence . They are calm, reliable, precise and hard working . They helped us with a lot of different tasks , from small patience jobs like collecting and cleaning seeds to heavy ones like collecting lots of manure , helping with gardening and seeding and with the construction of our small hut , and they were really good in all of them, plus always enjoying the work . We both had really nice nice working together and a very easy time letting them do things on their own , as they were really reliable and precise . They even build some super nice and comfy chairs for the volunteer kitchen in their free time ! And besides all the help and work done , they be been a great company , and we really enjoy the time we spent together ! I would definitely suggest them to any host .

Chad and Stacy were wonderful to host in our home! They spent almost 3 weeks with us. My husband and I enjoyed their company very much, also our 13y old son was enchanted by them. Chad shared stories from the submarine, our music nights were unforgettable: Stacy played a violin while our son was playing on the piano. They cooked us dinner, we just had a wonderful time together while socializing or working together. They offered to be helpful and assisted in anything we did (some yard work, even working with excavator, removing and washing sofa covers, cooking,...and of course conversing with our son and having fun. We would welcome them back any time and highly recommend them to anyone.

This is my first workaway, and I could not have wished for anything better! Isabella and Arturo are very kind and welcoming, and made me feel so at home. They’re committed to organic farming and healthy eating. Olive harvesting is a great experience, it involves a lot of hard work, but very satisfying. And I have learned enough to really appreciate the end results. We worked very hard together but also had a lot of fun. My fellow volunteers were also great. There were time for work but also time for play (Petriolo was great fun, thank you Arturo), and the delicious meals and lots of laughters. The biggest reward though, was seeing the fruit of our labour, in a bottle on the dining table - a truly virgin olive oil! And we get to enjoy it everyday!😋 I also tried the rose syrup and rose preserves, and they are delicious. I really had a great time and already missing you all……and Frisco and Persi too 😊. Thank you so much for my excellent 2 weeks. Until next time, hopefully that will not be too long away!

Matthew fit in the family and with the other workaway at the moment he arrived. He is very open to learning and ask what needs to be done next. He is very funny and the little one played with him a lot!! He is efficient, clean, autonomous in a given task, open to learn and to feedbacks. Il a pu améliorer son français rapidement durant son séjour. Toujours positif et avec des histoires a partager, ce fut un 3 semaines fort agréable. Matthew had to leave but we would have kept him till the end of the moment no problem! Anyone hosting him will have a great time.

You are the best helpers I could have wished for, working hard, putting in long hours for the higher, spiritual goal, and afterwards there was always enough energy left for good conversations and music. I miss you already and hope to see you again soon. Thank you!

Luke was our first workaway volunteer and what a great experience! He is respectful, independent, adaptable and truly loves the animals! He engaged in a variety of activities with ease, helping during spay and neuter events, participating in rescue straight from the streets, doing maintenance for cages at the shelter, and even coming with us to a conference to promote our rescue work. Luke was always kind to the animals and the team. He is engaged, has initiative and adapted swiftly to the shelter life. And the dogs absolutely loved him too! We truly enjoyed having Luke volunteer with us!

This was my very first Workaway experience and it truly couldn’t have been more special. I stayed here for about two months and it turned out to be one of the most meaningful and beautiful experiences of my life. Regarding the daily routine, we worked five days a week, usually around four to five hours a day. The morning started with a meeting where everyone could share ideas and plan the day together (at the end we usually sang a song, which was a great start into the day). Then we would start the main work for the day, which could include walking and feeding the dogs, helping Alberto in the kitchen, gardening, pruning, brush cutting, planting or harvesting vegetables, repair and building projects etc. After that we had lunch, which was the heart of the day. Everyone was sitting together and enjoying amazing vegetarian food. In the afternoons, there was usually a short, flexible task, which could be something creative, practical, or extra time with the animals. You could organize it freely, which made everything feel very relaxed and based on trust. Outside of the daily work routine, there was always something happening, but it was never forced. We played volleyball almost every afternoon, card games (Cambio was a favorite) and other board games. There were karaoke nights, jam sessions, movie nights on the roof, beach trips, hikes, pool afternoons, and even weekend trips to Valencia. What I loved most about this place was the combination of everything — the meaningful work, the animals, the nature, and the people. Living here felt very grounding and “back to the roots” with a real sense of purpose in daily life. The community is open, understanding, and supportive and it really made me realize how important it is to be part of a place where people grow together and support each other. Many thanks to Raul - who started the whole project and is such a calm, kind and fun person - for creating such a special place. I’d love to come back one day.

I had a very nice time here! the work is very easy and stress-free (even though it's every day, if you've got online work, it's about as good as it gets!), and there is very little you can do wrong, everything is explained and so simple to handle after a day or two! Ha Giang is an absolutely beautiful place, and it is a great place to take time off, live slowly and take your time, focus on studies or online work.

Rishie joined us for two weeks and got right into it the day he arrived. With great motivation and energy he helped us moving big stuff, working on details as well as showing up every day with great attitude. With eagerness to embrace the possibility of learning he spend the afternoons in the workshop to get his hands into woodworking. With little guidance into the tools and materials he started building something beautifully unique, first a bit shy to the new craft, but quickly confident the more practice he put into it. He left his fingerprint for our project in the shape of a stool - from discarded materials and soon part of our artist residency. Thanks a lot for your energy, help and joy for what we do. Ana and Darren are hard workers and very knowledgeable in different areas. They have great energy, they are respectful and kind. Darren helped with a lot of tasks around the farm, including making stools for the kitchen, installing locks on the bedroom doors and gardening. Ana also helped in the garden, designed a volunteer calendar to help me manage work away volunteers and helped me manage my work away account, which was very helpful. Both Darren and Ana ran yoga classes for everyone at the farm, Ana also ran a workshop on women's health and another on Ayurveda medicine. It was really great to have them here and I hope I'll welcome them back in the future.

It was very nice having Gabriele at the farm. He has a good attitude and was very helpful and always willing to help with anything. He worked on building, cooking and gardening during his stay. I hope to see you again :)

Nafsika has been great help during her stay at my farm. She is happy to help with everything and has a positive attitude. I would recommend her to other hosts.

If you want to live an amazing adventure in Casablanca and have the chance to learn about Morocco, thant I can only suggest joining Sara in her project. I spended almost three months in the school where I was working with very motivated students always ready to learn and really curious about so many different topics. The hours are very reasonable even though the schedule is not really reliable so it's not always clear which class and what time volunteers will work. Other than that for being my first workaway it was an amazing experience, the school welcomed me and the other volunteer in a very nice way. I will always be gratefull to Sara and ALL the staff for the amazing job they are doing in the language center. I wish to come back soon Insha Allah.

George and Kate were a pleasure to have at the farm. George was always making us laugh and was a great connect 4 opponent! They were always willing to help with any tasks. I would be glad to welcome them back anytime and would recommend them to other host.
