Robyn and Julian were 2 of the best volunteers we've ever had here on our farm! <3 They are both super friendly, communicative and always keen to help. They did a great job helping us build a cob house, installing the roof, plastering the wall, weeding the garden, cleaning up the workshop on a rainy day, making yogurt in the kitchen... Any task we needed help with were handled perfectly. The house was also kept very clean and organized. I can't recommend these two enough :)

Volunteering two weeks with Deepak and Koshila at the tea farm was an unforgettable experience! 🌱🫖 I learned so much about tea, from picking, rolling, roasting, and tasting. Every step was hands on and fascinating. Also the food, even though simple was good, especially the noodles and delicious momos 🥟 The days were filled with warmth, kindness and even some friendly competition especially the Yams games, where I almost won 😜🎲. And thanks to them, my eyes were opened to iskus (chayote) for the first time! 🥳✨ Overall, a wonderful experience that I’ll always remember and when my own Iskus someday grows I'll send you some pictures. Thank you ❤️🌄

J'ai passé 10 jours chez Vanille et ce qui a été une expérience formidable. Le logement est plutôt rustique, mais si on recherche une expérience au milieu de nulle part, c'est exactement ce qu'il faut. On est seul avec la nature, sans wifi, et on a donc beaucoup de temps pour soi. Ce que j'ai particulièrement apprécié chez Vanille, c'est qu'elle apprécie le travail (généralement seulement 4 heures par jour) et vous en remercie sincèrement. De plus, elle cuisine très bien. Je recommande donc vivement cet endroit aux personnes qui recherchent une pause dans la nature.

I arrived thinking that Workaway was going to be about family, in the different projects listed in the profile and I was surprised to discover that Salim, Amina's husband, had started a kindergarten for the neighborhood children. A precious legacy and a very difficult undertaking. "Todo a pulmón" decimos en Argentina.. means only in such a large project, Without any institutional help, working hard and sometimes using only his own money. The children, the teachers, the school building all need so much help...The ideal place to give yourself... These days I received so much...that it's very little that I gave. The family is wonderful... the experience of living with them, day to day, is fantastic... sharing with their children fills your soul with love. I felt at home.The day before I left, Salim told me: This is your home...we'll always be waiting for you. Thanks thanks thanks....Asante asana my family in Tanzania A unique, unforgettable experience...without a doubt, Amina and Salim's house, their school in Arusha is the place to do Workaway.

Having Daniel stay and work with us was very helpful, he is a team player, he has all the needed talents to help in our daily operations of our property. Very tranquil and full of positive energy, we were very happy to have him stay with us in Monteverde. We have made a new friend, he is very kind and respectful, always happy to help with any project, we hope to have him return and stay with us again in the near future !!! You will not be disappointed to include him with your projects !!! Sign him up !!!

I had a very nice experience! I have spent one week time, I haven't met though and Sopheak as he was away for work. All the teachers, their manager were all very nice! They were friendly, patience and they support me in my free time introducing me to the local town, its food market and sharing time together. They also introduce me to Luis (a collaborator of them), a western super nice and welcoming guy that liked to share with me time and bringing me around the city. Some practical info you might want to know: - the room offered is inside the school with a single bed. The room is simple and the water in the toilet is not consistent, so you need to learn some tricks on how to shower and flush. - The village is quite small but it still nice to move around. you can either walk or better use a scooter. food market are allover the town. - It is a very authentic experience as there you would virtually not find any other backpackers visiting there Afterall everyone was very nice and it will be one of my most memorable experience of my life!

Our experience with Victor was great! He is a very helpful, loving, and honest person. Victor is willing to contribute and give an extra mille, which is much appreciated in a community lifestyle. You would probably like to have him on your team! Much love, The Community

Mathilde is a truly special girl: intelligent, empathetic, attentive to the needs of others, helpful and willing. Meeting her through Workaway was a real surprise. With her, I was able to spend wonderful days together with my animals: she has a truly innate talent for handling and communicating with horses, and she helped me a lot in improving their management and organization. I really hope she can come back — my animals and I would be truly very happy.

Lisa came to us for a couple of weeks over the summer and supported us with cleaning and maintaining the farm and buildings here! She was always so kind and enthusiastic, and her sunny energy was a pleasure to have around. Thanks again, Lisa, and best of luck with your onward travels :)

Ariel and Oren set a calm and reliable tone from the very beginning. They picked up the initial guidance quickly, turning early instructions into steady, self-directed work within a day or two. Tools and materials always returned to their places, no loose ends. Their presence was steady and polite, making day-to-day communication simple. Tasks were completed on time and without fuss. The space they left behind was neat, clearly cared for through consistent attention rather than last-minute effort. Great folks, would love to host again!

Bella stayed with us for several weeks and created an excellent promotional video for the farm! She really put time and care into what she created for us, and we are very glad for the time she spent here!

Konrad was an excellent addition to our team for two weeks! He helped with building new raised garden beds, firewood, and a ceiling construction project. He also prepared some lovely meals for us and created an incredible chess set from scratch! You are welcome back any time Konrad :)

Selma stayed in our apartment for almost 3 weeks. Despite her young age, she proved to be really indipendent and adaptable. She managed to discover Catania and its surrounding by using public transportation and she provided us an implemented version of useful tips for our future workawayers. She respected our instructions, helped us in the house and cooked a swedish meal. We wish her all the best!

5/5. The program delivered exactly what it claimed. I worked across core operations of the sanctuary, including daily care, enclosure maintenance, and routine support tasks. I handled work that directly improved the site’s function and appearance. I attended support and food for the chickens, ensuring consistent feeding and care. I also contributed to building projects that expanded and strengthened the sanctuary’s infrastructure. The placement was structured, productive, and aligned with genuine conservation needs. The volunteers Gabriel already have on site are brilliant and it creates a nice family environment. The food was sufficient and the chefs were really kind and friendly. I wish I could of stayed for longer, if I had the time.

I spent two weeks in Farroupilha teaching present and online as well. Team of people working there is amazing and always willing to help. Groups of students are usually small or you teach individuals which is even better. Students were nice and polite, sometimes little bit shy but they love to interact. I had some classes in companies and presentation in public school which was really great experience. I had all the support from the teachers, special thanks to Mateus who showed me around the school and town as well. The town itself is small but I felt very safe and found there everything I needed. School was 20 mins walking distance from my home. School arranged lunch for me in a restaurant close by and the food was very tasty. Thank you!

Yumemi is a cheerful and energetic young woman. It was a pleasure hosting and chat with her and she did the requested work impeccably. I recommend her as a workaway, you won't regret it!

I had such a wonderful stay with this welcoming family. I loved going to the market with her, helping to sell pickles, and even preparing them! Patricia is an exceptional host despite my difficulties with English, she was incredibly patient, always explaining things kindly and showing me around the area. I really enjoyed visiting the animal farm, discovering beautiful viewpoints, and trying a beaver tail at Blue Mountain. We even celebrated my birthday at a restaurant a moment I will never forget. This was my first Workaway experience, and I honestly couldn’t have wished for anything better. they also gave me the time I needed to adjust, which I truly appreciated. Max, their adorable and energetic dog, will be greatly missed, as well as Missy, their super cute and cuddly cat. The tasks were simple, and I also had plenty of free time to relax and explore. I’m leaving with such beautiful memories of this experience! 🌟

Inga og Talea are fun to have around, they take on all the help i ask for and do it well. They are friendly and good together, they are quiet, tidy and easy have around. They get along well and are interested in the country, people and nature and like to explore.
