I spent two weeks with Sean. It was fun and I got to know more about Vancouver Island. Sean is very hospitable, nice, generous, and willing to learn more about your country! We shared our opinion on everything. International topics are the most. My basic daily job is cooking and cleaning. And I did Mandarin lessons as well. I had a great time teaching Sean Mandarin( Taiwanese way with 注音）and cooking for both of us. Thank you so much!!

We are so lucky! Our project is always blessed with such lovely volunteers. Amy is very professional, kind, creative, and supportive. Everything was wonderful, and we are truly grateful to both Amy and Mickey. I really enjoyed our conversations, and the students had many awesome activities thanks to Amy. It is an honor for us to have teachers from London. I highly recommend Amy and Mickey for any project — they are exceptional, dedicated, and genuinely caring people. Incredible experience with two of the best people, Nico and Emi in a really wonderful location. The guys are super clear about their vision for their place and also about the work that is expected and required from you. I stayed for just under two weeks, the duties and work are mainly guests focused so the hours can be flexible. There is plenty of time to focus on your own things such as surfing, yoga, reading, cooking etc. The guys are super connected to the local community, really can't thank them both for such a nice time. Wish I could have stayed longer. x

What an experience! Julia and Joep felt like a new family to us during the two weeks we spent together. We truly felt at home. They were very patient and clear when explaining the tasks, always guiding us through them, which was a real plus. They are genuinely passionate about their different projects, and it makes you want to get involved right away. We left with plenty of new knowledge and great experiences. The accommodation is very good, and all the facilities provided are well maintained and really beautiful. The included breakfast is very appreciated, and dry goods as well as basic cooking supplies are available for the other meals. On top of offering a beautiful view, the location is ideal, with easy access to the lovely town of Barichara and many activities to enjoy on weekends in the region. We are very happy with our experience and can only recommend staying here!

It took me a while, but finally getting round to writing a review! I had the greatest time this September with Henni and her family, a very lively and fun bunch of people :) I fell in love with their pets, and very much enjoyed helping out in the garden and with other general tasks. I felt very welcomed, enjoyed fun game and movie nights, having meals together and taking part in hobbies like riding and carriage rides. Henni was the one who gave me my tasks, or we worked together. She often gave me several things to pick from and I was happy with the kind of things we did (lots of gardening work and some renovation and woodwork). Thank you all so much for a great time and welcoming me to the rhineland area where I now live, I couldn't have asked for a better way to arrive in a new home!

We contacted Dylan through the last minute section, as some volunteers let us down in the last moment and we needed someone to take care of the farm while we went on a short family vacation. He responded in a few hours, and just two days later he was at the farm ready to help. He is a quiet, proactive, highly respecful and hard working man. He took care of the farm while we were absent, worked diligently during the three weeks he stayed with us, and was always ready to help. It was a pleasure to host him, and he will be greatly welcome if he comes back. Highly recommendable to any other host.

What an awesome couple of human beings! So hard working and thoughtful - was an absolute pleasure to have them as part of the family for a while. Would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Safe travels!

We stayed at the hostel (in the city centre of Merida, Mexico) for a month, in the perfect moment to experience the Animas festivities and Día de Muertos. WHAT A LOVELY PLACE TO BE! We enjoyed becoming part of the team and helping them with a variety of social activities, events and daily entertainment for the guests. This is the best Hostel in Merida and they have a great atmosphere, where one can feel home and enjoy their stay in different ways. There is a good balance between work/free time, which was perfect for us as digital nomads and travel lovers, allowing us time everyday to work online on our own projects and tour the city or attractions nearby. We could also use the facilities as we wished; like the swimming pool, the TV room, the rooftop for doing yoga/exercise or the kitchen to cook our meals. As volunteers, we helped 5 days a week for a few hours (depends on the task and the day) in exchange for accommodation in the volunteer dorm and daily breakfast. It was a great deal since the activities are fun and easy to handle if you have social skills, usually in the evenings starting around 7pm. We learned to organize "Family Dinners" and cook for +20 people, host fun "Drink&Draw" evenings, as well as other activities like "Meet&Drink", "Games Night", "Karaoke Night" or join the Salsa Classes they offer every week. Since we were a group of 4 volunteers, we had shifts to help some days preparing and serving the breakfast, from 7am to 10:30/11am. Those days, the person who was scheduled for breakfast would have the rest of the day free :) If you are a social person, who loves to talk with other travelers and connect with people in general, be proactive and get involved in different activities, we highly recommend this volunteering experience. The owners and the staff are all great people, and the place is ideal too; well located in the city, with a cozy ambience and clean shared spaces. We really felt like home there. I spent a few weeks with Jan, Stephan and the lovely farm fam including the sassy horsies, the kitties and the star of the show Poncho! it truly is a stunning place up there and everyone made me feel so welcome :) my time on the farm was so wonderful and I can't wait to be back. miss you all!

Mariane and Nicolas were wonderful to host. They were pleasant company, respectful and positive. They worked diligently and were responsive to all requests. We would happily have them stay again, and recommend them to other hosts.

After being away from home for more than a year, I finally found the warmth I’d been missing, the feeling of home, with the Unet family! Melis, Mustafa, Kenan Pars, Kuzey, and the cat Gölgem are truly a loving family :) They always treated me like one of their own. We ate together, visited relatives, had barbecues in the mountain garden, watched videos, and laughed together. Those joyful memories have a special kind of magic that they make me want to return to Türkiye again, and definitely come back to Antalya to visit the Unet family. The only things I could offer in return were doing small chores and cooking Taiwanese food for them. Nothing heavy, just helping out within my ability, and I was always happy to do it. If you enjoy a structured daily life, want to experience authentic Turkish living, and appreciate warm, heartfelt human connections, this is the perfect choice for you!!

Evelyn and John were incredibly welcoming and kind during the six days I stayed with them. Their place is a true haven of peace, surrounded by nature, and I really enjoyed the moments we shared together. It’s also a great place to start a trip in New Zealand. Thank you so much, Evelyn and John!

Yolo est resté 15 jours chez nous. Il nous a apporté une aide précieuse. Il comprend très vite ce qu'on lui demande et travaille consciencieusement. Malgré la barrière de la langue, nous avons quand même eu des échanges très intéressants, il nous a appris beaucoup sur son pays. Nous avons eu de bonne conversation autour de la table. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié le plat taiwanais qu'il nous a préparé. Merci Yolo et bonne continuation dans ton voyage.

I spent two amazing weeks at Isabella’s place, and it was probably the best Workaway experience I’ve ever had. Isabella is a wonderful and kind person, someone you can truly talk with about anything. Thanks to her, I felt like a member of the family and the local community. And of course — she is an incredible cook. I will really miss her meals. I also had a lot of fun with her son. He is a very smart and entertaining boy. Another highlight for me were her dogs, who I loved immediately. The accommodation is excellent, has everything you need, and it’s surrounded by beautiful nature. I am genuinely grateful for this experience. I really hope I can come back to this wonderful place one day. Thank you so much, Isabella.

What can I say, Corinne and Wayne are two such wonderful beings! They are both so welcoming, kind, giving, easygoing and fun to be around. Plus, I could always hang out at their place. Cor showed me a lot about plants and especially mushrooms, at this time of year. She also tought me how to ride a horse (again), and I absolutely enjoyed it! Btw, she is also a great cook ;) I worked under a lot of people in the past and it wasn't always the best experience, therefore I can say that working with Wayne was a real pleasure! I really enjoyed his sense of humor (he is always make fun, especially around Cor) and he makes the best pizza! They have a great cabin, even though it's not finished yet, but I hope it will be ready for the next volunteers ;) It's a great piece of land they have here, and the whole island is great, so don't miss out on this experience if you're in British Columbia (or even if you're not)! Oh and be prepared to play Cambio in the evenings ;) Thank you so much for having me!! I'll definitely pass by if I'm in BC again, much love!

my time spent with Louie and Ting was good - they are both open and interesting people, the food was great and I had a private room with a big bed. The work was interesting and I was able to gain new skills

I stayed at Jessie’s home for four wonderful weeks. Her house was far more spacious and beautiful than any photo could ever capture. I never imagined I’d get to live in such an amazing place. My room was wide, cozy, and surprisingly warm even in the middle of winter. The house was so comfortable that I often wore short sleeves indoors. Jessie cooked delicious meals every day at fixed times for lunch and dinner. Her food was always amazing, and she even made snacks herself — such care and thoughtfulness truly touched me. I’ve never met a host who took such good care of volunteers. Every day there was calm and peaceful. A beautiful lake was just nearby, and walking along the railway or sitting by the water felt like being in paradise. Each morning, I would sit on the deck with a cup of warm tea, watching the beautiful scenery and feeling my heart fill with quiet peace. Sometimes I went out for a bike ride to explore the surroundings the uphill roads were a bit tough, but the downhills felt like riding a roller coaster! And the views along the way were absolutely breathtaking. Those moments were simply perfect, pure happiness itself. The four weeks I spent there felt like a little piece of heaven. Every Tuesday, I went to Nelson for swimming or hiking. Nelson is such a beautiful and peaceful town. I truly enjoyed every visit. During my stay, I helped with farm work, made housecoats with a sewing machine, and assisted with household chores. On Halloween, I carved pumpkins and handed out treats to the kids —
it was such a fun and unforgettable experience. More than anything, I learned so much from my conversations with Jessie about Canadian culture, and about life itself. Her warm heart and genuine kindness left a deep impression on me. Staying here was one of the greatest blessings of my journey. Jessie showed me the true meaning of giving with love and sincerity. Because of her care, every day was filled with gratitude. These four weeks will stay in my heart for a long, long time.

The bungalows and surroundings are just amazing and very peaceful. Sezer is such a lovely person and I really felt at home here! The work can be physically demanding at times as mentioned but I really loved picking the mandarins and cleaning the bungalows. Anyway if you are even remotely in good shape the tasks will be easy to complete. I also learned some skills with gardening which was great! The experience here was so much fun and I am so grateful that I discovered this place. I definitely hope I will be able to go back. I highly recommend doing a workaway here. There is also a minibus operating just 5 min walk away (dolmuş) which makes getting to Alanya super easy!

Ariel and Claudia and Trece (the cat) are fantastic hosts, we felt right at home from the start. Their home and the surrounding area are beautiful, they are great cooks and just very comfortable to be around. The work was exactly as described and easy to learn as well!

Megan and Tom are a wonderful and enthusiastic couple. From the first day they arrived, there was always a light in their eyes that reflected a lot of love, and they were always very empathetic and helpful in many ways here on the ranch. Not only are they an excellent work team, they integrated into our family in a very harmonious way. Megan always had a word of encouragement and always with a positive attitude, she was a great friend from day one. She is a hardworking, reliable, kind person with many beautiful qualities. She is a being who emanates love and peace in everything she does. My favorite phrase that I heard every day from Megan was: Whatever makes you happy Mamacita! Tom is super creative, hardworking, very skilled at problem-solving, an excellent builder, and designer. He puts his heart into everything he does. His greatest motivation is seeing others happy. A wonderful older brother. Using natural materials from the ranch, like wood, for example, that they discovered, cleaned, and turned into true works of art, Megan and Tom designed and built a space that we now call the fire hall, the area where we cook with fire, roast coffee and cocoa, and do workshops on the medicine of the fire element of our ancestral culture. With Megan and Tom, we had unforgettable moments, discovering waterfalls in the mountains, at school festivals with the kids, the temazcal workshop... every day with them was a great adventure. Having them in your house, I assure you, will be a great blessing in your life, as it is for us. The doors of our home will always be open to them, they are always welcome to return! I don't have enough words of gratitude. Infinite thanks Megan and Tom.
