I don't even know where to begin... I spent a month and a half with Yolanda and her wonderful family. It was my first time doing Workaway, and it couldn't have been better. They treated me like a member of the family. I laughed so much, learned so much, and they showed me so much of Spain. I definitely want to come back again, and I have absolutely nothing to complain about. It was amazing!

Kyle was a fabulous addition to our community this summer He can turn his hand to almost anything He is friendly helpful entertaining and fun to have around If you get the chance to host him do so!!

This was our first Workaway experience, and to be honest, we were a bit nervous before coming. But the moment we saw Andrea, all that hesitation disappeared. The welcome was so warm, natural and sincere… When we arrived to be with Bernd, Andrea, Tim and Sinem, we immediately felt that we had become part of a family. They truly gave us an amazing week. A family with pure hearts — always by our side, understanding, respectful, supportive, making us laugh and feel comfortable. We felt as if we had known them for years. It didn’t feel like Workaway at all; it felt like visiting close friends. We returned home, but our hearts are still there with them ❤️ My son Selim is still upset because he can’t collect the eggs anymore. We went there full of excitement, and when it was time to leave, all of us felt a deep sadness. Words are not enough to describe this wonderful family. We are so grateful that our paths crossed and that they became part of our lives. We truly loved them ❤️ Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything 🌸

Jess was such a wonderful guest helping out on projects and day-to-day activities at our home. We will miss her very much! Would highly recomend her to anyone looking for a great worker.

I cannot say enough good things about Avery. He was up for any job and did it with enthusiasm. He worked efficiently and paid attention to detail. Avery helped us with garden clean up, planting tulips, removing popcorn ceiling and house cleaning. Avery has excellent English and was really easy to get along with. Avery stayed for about 6 weeks.

Llegué al Hostel y directo me sentí como a casa🫶 La gerente es adorable y compartimos mucho con las personas que se quedan al hostel, saliando a caminar, a charlar, a tener noches relajantes frente a la serie "The office", compartiendo comida rica, o descubriendo los lugares hermosos que ofrece Villa de Leyva... Nos sentimos bien rodeados allá✨️ su nombre le queda bien. Y lo que hay por hacer es muy diverso y interesante, que sea la parte social, las actividades, ... y las reglas son muy claras, solo hay que seguirlas y ya, es muy organisado. Abrazo a Percera 🐕🐶♡ abrazo a ti Heimy y Marcela, nunca podré olvidarlas, mucho cariño para ustedes🌷

This was my first Workaway experience and it couldn't have been better. I was part of a group of five of us that came at the same time. The villa is a beautiful place, and Vilija was a great host, so generous with all of us, sharing her space, her car, her culture and her infectious laugh. She was very helpful in directing us to the various points of interest around the area in our time off, often providing transportation as well if she happened to be going in the same direction. Every day was different, and I had the opportunity to work on several different projects ranging from cleaning a refrigerator, refinishing a bed frame, various small painting projects, fixing a rug, helping with furniture assembly and much more. I really appreciated that Vilija is a very trusting person and gave us free reign to tackle our tasks according to how we thought they could best be accomplished. She was also very accommodating and approachable if we had questions about anything. Vilija also had a knack for assigning tasks according to the skill level and interest of each Workawayer. She invited our group up for some delicious Croatian meals and we made many fantastic memories together!!

It was truly a little piece of heaven! Maria is a genuine reflection of the warmth and spirit of this community. I was welcomed so warmly, she lives surrounded by peaceful nature and wonderful friends. We shared delightful conversations over delicious meals and good wine. I completely fell in love with her adorable cats, Noah and Missy. Thank you Maria for having me 🌸💗 un abbraccione!!!

Olivia What can I say one of the best work ways we have ever had!!! With Olivia you get it all- she is a genuinely lovely person, with a big heart, caring about everyone and an incredible work ethic to doing things correctly with emense efficiency, always making sure she understands the task fully and has everything she needs to complete it. Her leadership skills shines through. Her cooking skills are awesome and created some wonderful dishes for all of us. This seems to be where her heart is, looking after people through food, but at the same time having the ability to turn her hand to: glazing windows, filling & painting, chopping wood and excellent cleaning and took complete responsibility for making sure we never ran out of anything in the kitchen. Olivia you were such lovely company and thank you for making Leonardo feel special. The door is always open 🤗

Jadiel, was a very willing workaway and I was so grateful for all the help. with his skill, Thanks for all your patience and hard work while with us. He learned so many things as it was his first time in the farm.Jadiel was very quick to pick up on how to do things.very good company.All the Best Maggie Welcome anytime in the future

I spent two wonderul weeks with lovely Neuza and Ciaran. They have a beautiful Galician house 10 min drive from the coast (which is stunning), and close to walks in the forest as well. There are supermarkets nearby as well. They have chicken, ducks, a happy goose, two cute cats, a lot of fruit trees and a garden. You will have the privilege to have our own bathroom and room which is very nice, on the upper floor. Neuza is a warm and beautiful Brasilian woman, who as Ciaran says, has a lot of knowledge to pass down - I'm sure she would've taught me a lot had we been gardening! She knows what she wants and she will charm you completely!! She has many stories and I think she should write a book with them! Ciaran is a lovely Irish origin London man who is positive and has great energy. It was such a pleasure to spend time with them and we will stay in contact. I worked in the morning from around 9 to 13-14 and I came at a time the big autumn clean up was needed so that's what I did for those two weeks, which I enjoyed. The house is beautiful! Neuza made apple tea for me and it kept me going :),, OH! Neuza's cooking is AMAZING! Your belly will be very happy here! I can 100% recommend them! :)

Hey Nicola,thanks again for everything:) . Nicola was here during the olives harvest, she's very energetic and strong! Her help was very important for completing the harvest successfully. We also planted fava beans in the garden , and most important we shared lots of good memories together. Nicola is also a very talented cook, she cooked a pasta alla norma better than a sicilian could do :)) even if I still have to finish to clean the pan :P Jokes aside, the last thing I noticed about Nicola is that she likes to relate with other people and to give her time and energy to take care of them. A very important aspect when living together with different people. Hope to see you again, all the best!

It was great having Nils around as a volunteer at our foundation. Nils is very easy going, fun, respectful, and open-minded. No task was too small or too big, and he is a real team player. Our local Zambian team members enjoyed working with him a lot, he learned from them, they learned from him and the cultural exchange they had together was wonderful to see. Besides the work he did, we also had a lot of fun together. Singing karaoke, having good conversations and much more. Nils we wish you all the best in the future and if you are ever back in Zambia, please know that you are always welcome at our family.

Die drei Wochen, die wir hier waren, gingen finde ich zu schnell um. Die Arbeit mit und um die Tiere war sehr schön und lehrreich. An Wochenenden ging es meistens reiten, was mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat. Ich erinnere mich gerne an die Zeit bei Esther und ihrer Familie. Danke für die schöne Zeit bei euch.

Emmi is a lovely gentle presence, I was so happy to have hosted her. She travelled a long way to look after my dog and my cat. She was very kind and connected with them immediately. We felt comfortable in each others company and enjoyed exchanging our stories. She kept the house clean and in order while I was away, and I felt completely safe about leaving my home and pets in her hands. Once again I have met another lovely person on Workaway! So thank you Emmi, I really appreciate the time you spent here in Italy looking after Bruno and Molly!

Staying with Jacques and SeungHwa was one of my best experiences in Korea. They are incredibly kind, caring, and always checking in to make sure everything is okay. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and really at home. What I loved most was how much I learned just by talking to them. In just a few days, I understood more about Korean culture than during my first three weeks of travelling there — exactly the kind of experience I had hoped for with Workaway. The work itself was varied and interesting. We did some gardening and helped to renovate new rooms for their guesthouse. It was really satisfying to see the room transformed day after day, and they even named one of the rooms Capucine, like me — such a thoughtful gesture that really touched me. I also loved discovering Korean food with them. I’m passionate about it, and they truly spoiled me! They introduced me to lots of different dishes, took me out to restaurants and to the market to pick up fresh ingredients. They even taught me a recipe that I still make at home today. Thank you Jacques and SeungHwa for such a beautiful experience — I’ll remember this stay for a long time 🥰

Una experiencia fantástica! Jan fue un anfitrión excelente, cordial y muy servicial. Inicialmente íbamos a quedarnos una semana, pero al final nos quedamos 12 días. Un lugar increíble lleno de animales y donde también tuvimos el placer de conocer a otros viajeros con casa rodante y compartir momentos único todos juntos. No se pierdan esta oportunidad! A fantastic experience! Jan was a wonderful host, warm-hearted and very helpful. We were supposed to stay for a week, but ended up staying for 12 days. A fantastic place where we also had the pleasure of meeting other travelers and sharing unique moments together. Don't miss this opportunity!

I spent four wonderful weeks at Áine‘s home in Ovens, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment I arrived, her and her family made me feel right at home. The work was varied and enjoyable, I helped in the garden, walked with her cute labrador Gilly, and assisted with various chores. Áine always explained everything clearly, and the schedule was fair, leaving plenty of time to explore the area or relax. The meals were delicious (thank you, for your and your mum’s amazing cooking!), and the evenings spent chatting and experiencing local events were unforgettable. I also learned so much about living in the West of Ireland and local culture. Thank you again, Áine, for your kindness, patience, and for sharing your beautiful home. I highly recommend this Workaway to anyone looking for a peaceful, meaningful, and inspiring experience!

We spent a fantastic six months working both in the laundry and as part of the wedding service team. It was exactly the experience we were hoping for. The full-time seasonal work offered a great balance of varied tasks, with days that ranged from pleasantly easy to more challenging and fast-paced. This variety kept the job engaging and allowed us to learn a lot while contributing meaningfully to the team. The team was welcoming, and it was easy to fit in and get along. Within just a few days, we got the hang of the tasks and settled into the rhythm of the work. The communication was clear, support was always available when needed, and we felt trusted to carry out our responsibilities independently. Danae is a great leader, and communicating with her was always easy. We consistently felt comfortable approaching her, as she is open, supportive, and genuinely easy to talk to. She made sure everything at work was clear, well-organized, and running smoothly. It was inspiring to learn from her about business management and how to create positive change. Her approach taught us a lot and made our experience even more meaningful. Our accommodation was comfortable, and having access to the sauna and mountain bikes made the experience even more special, we were very grateful for those extra touches. The surrounding nature is absolutely stunning, and we enjoyed exploring it during our free time. Getting around was also easy, as we could borrow one of the work trucks for grocery runs, small trips, and other errands. This flexibility added a lot of convenience to our daily life and made the stay feel even more home-like. Overall, our six months were truly memorable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We learned a lot, enjoyed our work, and felt supported every step of the way. A big thank you to Danae and Bjorn for their guidance, trust, and kindness throughout our stay. We are genuinely grateful and highly recommend this Workaway to anyone looking for a meaningful and rewarding opportunity. We also hope to return in the future to work here again, if there is an opportunity.
