We stayed with Jessica and Mark for two weeks and had the most amazing time! We were supposed to only stay for one week but loved it there so much, we had to extend our stay! We helped them to do some painting and yard work, as well as take care of their adorable dogs. We had such a great time exploring the south of France and area they lived in. Jessica was so generous to give us rides to the train station and take us to new towns. Thank you Jessica and Mark for everything, we hope to come back one day!

I spent two weeks at Tony and Finn’s home, but I would have gladly stayed longer. It was my first with Workaway experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better one! Their house is warm and welcoming, surrounded by nature, with a large garden and a beautiful sea view. Although it’s a bit outside the city, Tony and Finn were always happy to help with transport; they also provide bikes and there's a local bus line nearby. They are incredibly thoughtful and attentive, they make sure you’re comfortable, preparing good meals or providing whatever you need to cook your favorite dishes. They’ll also make sure you experience local life: they accompany you to music concerts, advise you on what to see in the surrounding area and which are the best walks, as well as guiding you to visit the most suggestive landscapes nearby. The work was exactly as described: on rainy days, tasks are indoors like tidying or preparing meals; on sunny days, it’s gardening, cutting grass, collecting wood, painting, or outdoor cleaning; all of it is very doable and Tony is always there to explain and support you. The location is perfect for exploring the more authentic side of Ireland. On top of that, Tony and Finn were very patient with my English and helped me improve it. They are a lovely, creative couple: they paint, play music, write, and practice meditation. I highly recommend these host to anyone, you won’t regret it!

Thank you so much for staying with us for nine days. We really enjoyed working, learning, and playing together with you. Even though you came from a very different culture and this countryside lifestyle was full of new experiences, you stepped into everything with openness and kindness. Some of the farm work was not easy, but you always put in your best effort. I truly appreciate your willingness to try new things and your calm, steady way of helping. Together with Omer and Emily, we accomplished work that I could never have finished alone. Already the corn, beans, pumpkins and sweet potato leaves are growing beautifully, a reminder of your contribution here. We also enjoyed the conversations, the laughter, and the gentle energy you brought into our home. Thank you for sharing your time with our family and for being part of our days. We hope to welcome you back again soon, maybe in March? Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We volunteered at the school for two wonderful weeks (we wish we could have stayed longer!). We came as a family with our kids (8, 6) and felt welcomed from the first moment. We joined the different classes and enjoyed teaching different lessons. Markus was attentive and helped us to find the places where we could contribute the most. The school is lush and beautiful and as volunteers you get to help with the gardening. The teachers and students are absolutely incredible and they really gave us the feeling they value our contribution as volunteers. Thank you Markus and the team for the amazing opportunity. We will miss everyone and we hope to find the time to come again...

オースチンは暑い日本の９月、１ヶ月間私の家に滞在し沢山手伝ってくれました。 彼はとても礼儀正しく、誠実で私の家のルールをよく守ってくれました。また、彼はとても器用で 二人で創造的な農機具を作り、草を倒しました。それから小さな山小屋を作る為、粘土を篩にかけ 稲藁を混ぜ今発酵中です。たくさんの思い出と足跡を残してくれました。ありがとうAustin。Please come back again.

Ruben was a blessing , he has a good nature and strong work ethic . I we had some good talks and he was willing to help where he was needed . Ella built with mud for the first time, and she learned very fast. She might be the smartest volunteer I’ve ever had so far, and the second funniest person in this hut, right after Tutuco. She’s an amazing writer, but with a funny, fancy accent… hahaha Well, it’s okay, nobody is perfect. Ella, Ella… you are a very special person: smiling, sensitive, and always ready to help. Thank you for the unforgettable coffee time with me and Tutuco. You are always welcome here, you know that. Work is fun! 🎵🍃

Fran is a very nice guy, friendly and social. He explains everything well and is positive and encourages us to speak and learn Spanish. The experience with his family was authentic. We ate delicious local food, cooked by his mother. She is a real character, very old fashioned. Thanks for the nice stay, Fran!

Truly beautiful place Mas del Pou between Valencia and Alicante with plenty of stunning landscapes, areas to explore, and great hiking opportunities 🤩 From the very first day, communication with José was super easy !! I arrived at his home and stayed in an independent house with all the comfort I needed, and he was incredibly kind and welcoming 😇 I spent a total of 10 days there, and we worked in a cheerful atmosphere, sharing lots of pleasant moments conversations. Since he’s a Spanish teacher, he helped me also with my Spanish when I needed and you can immediately feel it when he explains things to you clearly, it makes a huge difference while practicing and I can genuinely feel that my Spanish has improved 💯 I genuinely felt like a member of this lovely family, always ready to help and learn in return, and we had a beautiful cultural exchange ✨

Thomas and Alejandra were amazing. From the first message I got, I felt they were very trustworthy, and as soon as I met them I realized that was true. They checked even the smallest details, so we never had to worry. Their communication skills are something we want to emulate. They were calm, patient, and positive. They always looked out for us, to the point that I was worried they might get tired. Allie is a food wizard. We were so lucky to be able to enjoy her cooking every day. The falafel sandwich was especially unforgettable. They surprised us with an English afternoon tea. It was beautiful and delicious, and we were truly moved. Tom is a board game enthusiast and introduced us to a variety of games. He is a great gamer and we had a lot of fun. They were also kind to my friends and neighbors. It's hard to find such lovely people, and I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for social interaction. Their stay was three weeks, but the time flew by. I hope they come again.

Kelvin is one of those few people i hired on the spot after our interview, and you will imidiately see why. His personality radiates out of him, and warms all those around. When he was in the hostel, i never needed to worry about the guests. He became the face of the hostel from his first week and took so much pressure off me almost instantly! When you hire Kelvin, you hire someone who will represent your place of business in a way you can be proud. He is empathetic, kind, and a truly special human being. There is not a day goes by when we dont talk about him still. For work, he learns quikly, adapts and makes the place his own. He can be a hard worker doing manual tasks, a manager of people leading from the front, an entertainer creating and perfecting a social and friendly vibe, and a supportive friend taking care of everyone he sees (i will never forget him sitting on the floor with a guest who was sick for hours, just because her cares). I know this will not be the last time he will be here, but even if it is, i truly value his contributions here. He puts everyone else first, and i saw this everyday. Even if he was bad at his job, i would hire him again in a heartbeat, it just so happens that he was great at the work as well! HIRE THIS MAN!

Sabine !! how can I thank you enough for having me? I've spent ten days at Sabine's place. I've done some painting, landscaping, and roof cleaning worked in the morning with free afternoons. This gave me time to enjoy Capbreton, beaches and the surroundings. Sabine gave me a bike to cycle around and that was really handy. I warmly recommend this place where I felt home straight away.

Many thanks to Dick & Angela for opportunity to become part of their nice big family and for hosting me 2 weeks. It was very comfortable to stay in your own house, and it was more than enough food every day. There are always many things to do on the farm and it might be flexible depending on your skils and talents, but work was never to hard.The hosts are simple and nice people. They can teach you a lot about animals and life on the farm. I would like to come back one day and be part of their endless new projects. Obrigado!

Lucie is very easy going. She is always active and ready to help for any work. She helped with repairs on our biogas-installation, to cook, to harvest our peas and much more. We had a lot of nice discussions. Thank you for those 8 days. We will miss you. And we hope you will visit again. Merci beaucoup pour tout Lucie PS : Mon papa a vraiment apprécié ta présence.

Guram is very friendly, easygoing, handy young man. He helped me in the farm and I enjoyed spending time with him so much. Our living conditions are very low but he adapted very well. He was afraid of horses but managed everything .

Hiring Kira was one of the best decisions i have made as the manager of this hostel. I obviously was a little tentative hiring someone slightly younger, but i should state first of all, that Kira is wise and mature far beyond her years! In her time here she grew to be the person i could rely on most of all with some of the most complicated and responsible tasks. I could trust her to take care of things that i wouldn't ask of people 10+ years older than her, and she was a leader of a team of which she was the youngest member. She is an incredibly hard worker who can turn her handle to ANYTHING! We would often joke that there is nothing Kira can't do. She is perfect for admin (book keeping, computer software, note taking), cooking (learning and challenging herself as she went, going from strength to strength), artwork (producing some of my favourite pieces here at the hostel, both my own requests and her ideas), creating an atmosphere (leading and perfecting our quiz nights, taking guests out into the city, or even just helping those less social around her join in with the group) and breaking her back to work to make the hostel the best it can be (working while sick and off shift despite me trying to stop her!) I would recommend this amazing woman to anyone looking to hire her, she started as a great hire, became my number one person i relied on, and left as my friend. We miss her everyday and hope she will one day return!

Max & Janine were amazing workaway guest! It you have the opportunity to host them I highly recommend. They helped us with a range of tasks. Janine loves organizing and was so helpful in sorting out our house especially my 4 year olds toys and play area. Both helped with gardening, painting interior and exterior of our house, and other odd jobs. They had excellent communication, good sense of humour, easy going, and asked questions when they weren't sure and were always keen to learn new things. They were really great with our daughter Harriet, she adored them. They were also considerate, respectful and happy to cook meals. We will miss them a lot and hope that they come back and visit before leaving Australia!

Thanks Daniel for coming. I enjoyed having u around. Enjoy your traveling. I'm sure you gonna make your next host comfortable as I am.

I had three amazing month here. It was my first off-grid and permacutlure expirience and I really loved it. I learned a lot about gardening, the permaculture- concept and ecobuilds. But the working and learning aspekt is just one thing. I met so many wonderful people there and the whole idea of living and contributing to a community was just a great expirience. I will always have awsome memories about that time. Amys food, the days at the beach, the concerts/partys we went together, the jam sessions. There was no differnece in freetimeactivities or working projects. Everything was planed and done with dedication,passion and love. And every member of the community was able to contribute there own ideas to the several projects. I just loved it and can highly recommend everyone to spend some time at this wonderful place. I hope I will find the time to come back someday...
