We are an international language institute located in Villa de Leyva, Colombia, a few hours north of Bogota. Famous for its colonial architecture, white buildings, red tile roofs, stone streets and large main square, Villa de Leyva is a major tourist destination of international fame. We teach different languages, including English and French. We work with children, teenagers and adults.
All teaching activities take place in classrooms with a conversational learning approach and a limit of 5 students per class.
We are looking for native speakers, and we offer you the opportunity to spend time in Colombia, meet some of the friendliest and warmest people you will ever meet, and learn Spanish while teaching others your native language.
Our goal is to create a space for cultural exchange, to get to know each other and spend time together. The institute is located in one of the oldest and most valuable houses in Villa de Leyva. Classes are from Monday to Saturday, maximum 5 hours per day, so you will have time to explore the town and its surroundings, hike beautiful mountains, have a good cup of coffee or visit museums. Villa de Leyva is waiting for you!

We will provide you with accommodation and the opportunity to improve your Spanish with classes and through interaction with students and the community.
We want you to feel at home, have a great experience with us and fall in love with Villa de Leyva and Colombia in general.
You will have the opportunity to learn Spanish, visit restaurants with delicious food, hike in the mountains, admire waterfalls and interact with the friendly locals here. Villa de Leyva is a quiet, bohemian and beautiful place.
It is 3 hours away from the northern terminal of Bogota if you do it by bus, it will cost you around 30.000 Colombian pesos, it is a good idea to bring cash although in this town you will find ATMs without problem. It is a touristic place with lots of high quality international food, cafés and art shops.

We are looking for native speakers with some experience in teaching foreign languages, especially English and French, to students of all ages: children, teenagers and adults. Our concept is that students "learn through conversation classes". Classes will be limited to 5 students.
We have books, audios, videos and different materials to guide you and help you teach.
In addition to teaching, you may be asked to do promotional work for the institute, help with activities in local schools and cultural exchanges within Villa de Leyva.

We want you to share your culture with us and our students, and have fun doing so!
You will share a house with maximum 5 other volunteers. It is located on the outskirts of town, a 20 minutes walking distance from the institute. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a big living room and kitchen, a washing machine and a good Internet connection.
In your free time you can rest, meet new people or go out for drinks on the plaza. If you like to cook or go to restaurants, you will find that the food is pretty cheap. Public transportation is comfortable and cheap, so you can easily visit small towns nearby.
