  Hello, we are Matthieu and Daria. We are running a small eco glamping, a garden with restaurant and side activities (tours for our guests) in Skadar Lake National Park, Montenegro. We have 4 glamping tents with a maximum of 15 guests. We also organize dinner, wine tasting and tours for our guests, like canoeing, hiking, sightseeing, etc.
  
  Our location is on a hillside with fantastic views over the surrounding mountains. A lot of hiking trails start nearby. The lake, river, waterfalls and stunning viewpoints are nearby waiting to be discovered. If you like working in beautiful surroundings, take out one of our canoes on the lake to admire a sunset, go for a long hike and enjoying great outdoors . . . Then you will definitely feel at home here.

  We are European and happy to learn about people and their culture, share our point of view about Montenegro and Balkans and learn something new from you.
  You will see first hand a small glamping business getting shape.
  Matthieu has a good knowledge about carpentry and all kind of DIY. Additionally he is a nature lover with big knowledge about fauna and flora of the area (specifically birdwatcher). He can share some cool bushcraft skills and teach you how to canoe. He has as well experience as a workawayer while travelling for long on the bike.
  Daria likes all kind of handcrafts, herbs, making natural soap and cosmetics, pottery, painting, decorating and experimenting in the kitchen. Always eager to learn new recipes. The soul of Hoopoe Glamping.
  You will stay in a small village where locals produce wine, rakija, honey, cheese, smoked ham and marinate fish. Where people are still close to traditional way of growing vegetables, fruits, olives. Fascinating to see how the locals put their passion into it.

  Ajuda

  For months:
  APRIL - OCTOBER
  we are looking only for two people - to help us to provide food experience: "COOK & WAITER/-RESS" (we invite only couples - reason explained in "accommodation details" below).
  The creative cook, experienced (fusion kitchen, occasionally vegan meals using local products and mainly based on seasonal, own produced organic vegetables and herbs). Independent. The Chef will be responsible to prepare breakfasts and dinners. The waiter must be communicative, attentive - overall hospitable. Minimum 2 months stay.
  Fluently/ very good in English.
  During the season months, we are the full time hosts. We mainly are focused on hosting our guests: welcoming and making the stay of our guests comfortable and memorable. It incluedes: preparing/serving food, running a bar, organising an excursions). We are looking for: energy, positive and can-do attitude, flexibility, punctuality and good English together with communication skills and enthusiasm. Best if having hosting experience before.
  
  NOVEMBER - APRIL - OFF SEASON, we mainly are looking for:
  * handy people - carpenters, plumbers, electricians or whatever skill that you have to build some cool structures and helping us maintaining the land. Strong people who don't mind dirty hands ;)
  * artists, designers, film makers, photographers, content creators or whatever skills you have to help us with "background jobs" (improving, making nice paints, signs, movies, content for website and sm)
  * early spring we have lot of work with general maintenance, preparing garden for planting vegetables (or trees), trimming, cutting, cultivating + other projects (simple fixing or creative constructing, landscaping).
  * house sitters
  Other tasks: there are a lot of overgrown old walking trails around. It's our dream to bring them back to life. Sometimes we head out and clear a stretch of trail.

  Sometimes the work can be intensive due to deadline or because of hot season. Please let us know in advance IF YOU HAVE ANY JOB, SCHOOL, OBLIGATIONS. You will have plenty of free time to enjoy surroundings and do your things but it is necessary to plan hours of work.
  We are always happy to help you to give you our tips and help you discover Montenegro!

  PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
  We offer and expect honesty, flexibility and friendliness.
  We like to share together coffee, meals, nice chat or day off, if possible.
  We provide a glamping accommodation together with meals and activities. We host our friends and Workawayers.
  It is very important to know and understand, that cleaning, keeping given house, bathroom and kitchen tidy and well organised is very important for us.

  We provide you an accommodation at the glamping site (just next to beautiful pool and relax zone), private bathroom (shower/ and eco-toilet) and a restaurant's kitchen to cook.
  We provide a minimum wage in an hourly rate for every hour helped, for every Workawayer.
  Extra: we can invite you in your offs to join some excursion in the region or offer you a lake tour on the lake. We offer you our equipment, maps, knowledge to plan your own free time. We like to share experiences, chat, food and drinks.

  Acomodação

  You will be accommodated in newly built wooden, tiny house (a-frame - look in our gallery), located in the secluded place - it is your private accommodation located close to the pool. There is a private bathroom with eco-toilet next to it - private. You will use a restaurant's kitchen (very well equipped), internet, power, hot water etc. is guaranteed.
  We do prefer couples or close friends as they must share one wooden cabin :)
  We can do exceptions after season to host a single traveller or to offer our caravan for a single as addition.

  We are only 2 km walking from Virpazar. From there the whole of Montenegro is at your feet (not really), but at least you can get easily to capital - Podgorica or Bar by train, bus or hitchhike. You can enjoy hilly roads by bike or hike, swimming in nearest river, lake and waterfalls. Nearest beach at the sea is up to 15km, nearest beach at the lake is 7km far.
