Siri is an AMAZING host. We felt at home since the moment we arrived. We only had to teach English a few hours a day and in return Siri gave us food, accommodation and showed us around Kamphaeng Phet. We learned so much about Thai culture, which we don’t think we would have just by visiting Thailand. We had a lot of time to prepare for the lessons and the children were very good. It felt very rewarding teaching them! We also had a couple of days off to visit Chiang Mai :) Thank you for everything, Siri! Hope you see you again in the future!

Simone has a genuinely loving and soft-hearted personality that makes her a pleasure to work with. She is welcoming,friendly,and brings a breath of fresh air to the team. Her warm nature creates a positive environment, and she is always eager to learn and develop new skills. While volunteering she started working and that started affecting her volunteering role aswell where it came to a point where she was struggling to balance the amount of attention she was able to dedicate to her volunteering role. She has tremendous potential for growth. With improved time management and prioritisation of her commitments, I believe she will thrive in any role she undertakes. Her caring nature, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn make her a valuable individual with a bright future ahead. We are grateful for the positivity she brought to the hostel and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

We loved our workaway stay with Beatrice and Hugh. We did some mulching, pruning, wood splitting and olive harvesting in exchange for a cosy cabin and 2 delicious meals each day. They were both very friendly and welcoming hosts and we really enjoyed getting to know them, exchanging travel stories and experiences and playing games. Thank you so much for a great week☺️

Andre was fabulous! Impeccable with his work standards and a lovely person to spend time with. He worked on quite a few of our garden projects and did a great job. He looked after the studio and left it clean and tidy. We really enjoyed sharing meals especially when he cooked Rosti ☺️ Andre was here for two weeks and we would have loved him to stay longer. Thoroughly recommended to all hosts and welcome back here anytime 🙏

It was a pleasure to have Aimee and Cody with us for 16 days. They were easy house guests, willing workers and fun to work with and be around. We accomplished a lot of varied homestead tasks, including planting most of the vegetable garden, weeding, trimming back an overgrown trail, Adding plants to the wildflower meadow, scything & mulching, and cleaning out the henhouse and root cellar. Cody also used his arborist skills to trim up a neglected crabapple tree. Cody and Aimee, thank you so much for your energy! I am grateful for your help.

My first work away experience could not have been any better! Giulia, Roberto, Mattia and Andrea were so welcoming and friendly. Their apartment in the heart of Catania is amazing with colourful artwork and photographs that make their house feel like home. Then room provided and all the facilities were great and made my 3 week stay very comfortable. Their pets are adorable and I loved my walks with the dogs numerous times a day. I got to explore all that the east coat of Sicily has to offer with great recommendations from Giulia and Roberto. Giulia is an amazing cook and always included me at mealtimes, she made sure that I was comfortable and well looked after. Roberto very kindly arranged for me to take one of the island tour buses to explore some of the region and was able to help plan my adventures. The boys were quite shy but it was great to spend time with them and get to hear about their school and summer camp activities. They are lovely kids. I would say to anyone who is considering a stay with the family to definitely go ahead as you’ll love every minute!

A wonderful place with wonderful peoples ! A wonderful, peaceful experience. The task at hand has always been to measure and adapt. I learned so many new things. The three-day weekend is very convenient for exploring the area (and there’s plenty to see!). The cabin is super comfortable and cozy. Angelune and Jalferd are wonderful people and excellent cooks! Again a great thank you for all !

It was a great pleasure having Norah volunteering with us! She helped us really well with a variety of tasks, such as landscaping to have more water infiltrating on our campsite, daily cleaning, mulching and more.. She was always ready to help out and open to learn new things! She is a very kind and calm person, really nice to talk to, eager to make a positive impact and we would recommend her to any host! Thanks for everything Norah :)

We just had the best few weeks volunteering here - it's nothing short of paradise. Ulrich and Elisabeth are great hosts and are always available for contact if you need anything. They're super generous hosts and volunteering here was a real pleasure. There's so much opportunity to socialise with guests and help make their experience here really special. The jungle, reef and ocean are rich with life and it's truly magical every hour of the day. Definitely track the moon rises/sets whilst you are here for the best bioluminescence! You can really use this time as a chance to get knowledgable about all the different wildlife here, we really enjoyed giving little bioluminescence tours at night with all our fun facts. It's truly extra magical when showing people who have never seen it before for the first time! Mazoo & Capitan will become your best friends and you won't want to leave!

Ana was a heaven-sent! She worked on our hobby farm for about two weeks and did an excellent job at all of the tasks (e.g. watering and caring for our flowers, berries and fruit trees, transplanting, cleaning, and more). Due to some unforeseen circumstances and with mutual agreement she spent almost 6 weeks looking after my 93 year old mother who really liked her. All of us miss Ana and her cheerful personality. She will always be welcome to return and we wish her the best.

このWorkAwayでの経験は本当に素晴らしかったです！毎日2回、ラマを散歩に連れて行ったり、彼の牛たちに餌をあげたりする時間がとても楽しかったです。クリスチャンと過ごす時間も本当に楽しく、いつもくだらない話題で笑ったり、時々スペイン語を教えてもらったりしました。彼はとても穏やかでリラックスした人で、そこもすごく良かったです。 また、1日だけ彼の祖父母の農場のお手伝いをさせてもらったのも、とても良い経験でした。お二人は本当に優しくて、私自身はスペイン語がほとんど話せず、お二人も英語はほとんど話せないという状況だったので、今までで一番本物の文化交流を体験できた気がします。 さらに、彼のおばさんの牛の乳搾りのお手伝いをする機会もありました。おばさんも私のつたないスペイン語にとても辛抱強く付き合ってくれました。 全体的に、本当に素晴らしい1週間でした！彼のプロジェクトがこれからどんな風に発展していくのか楽しみにしています！ 頑張ってね、クリスチャン！そして、何から何まで本当にありがとう。またいつか会えることを楽しみにしてるよー :)

I spent a week in Tuvamila and had a mixed experience. The estate is in a beautiful location, surrounded by incredible nature, with a reef and waterfall nearby. Meeting the people from the local village was one of the highlights of my stay. Fijian people are so kind and welcoming. I was also very lucky because there were already three other Workawayers there when I arrived. Meeting them and spending time together was amazing and honestly made my stay 100% worth it. That said, the house and the Workaway situation itself were different from what I expected. The property is still a work in progress and requires a lot of upkeep, so most of the volunteer work involved maintenance and repair projects such as sanding, painting, fixing gutters, and cutting grass. There is no reliable internet unless you have a Vodafone SIM and stand in one particular spot. You also can’t use the indoor showers and instead have to wash using a hose outside. It’s a very remote location, with the nearest town around three hours away by bus. None of these things were a problem for me personally, but I think it’s important for future Workawayers to know what to expect. Unfortunately, my stay didn’t end well. Without any warning or explanation, I was told to leave immediately before my agreed departure date. One of my fellow Workawayers and I had agreed with the host that we would leave on Monday, but on the Saturday before we received a text message telling us we had to leave that same day. It was very sad that it ended this way because, despite everything, I had a great time there. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend staying here because of the unreliable way the host handles her Workawayers.

Meis was a wonderful person to host. She approached every task with a positive attitude, worked hard, and was always in a great mood. Her friendly nature meant she got along well with everyone and was a pleasure to have around. In fact, Meis stayed with us twice during her time in Australia, which speaks volumes about how much we enjoyed her company. She quickly became part of our household, and we appreciated both her contribution and her cheerful presence. We would happily host Meis again and highly recommend her to any future hosts.

I absolutely loved my time there. I stayed three weeks in May. Leeny and her team are incredibly kind and welcoming. You are surrounded by beautiful nature making it the perfect place to relax and disconnect from everyday stress. At the same time, there is so much to explore and discover. My personal Highlight was the dogs. Working with them is incredibly rewarding and you can truly feel how grateful they are to have such a safe and caring place. I would highly recommend volunteering there to anyone looking for a meaningful experience :)) thank you so much!!

Mo was a pleasure to host and quickly became part of our home. She is warm, friendly, fun to be around, and always approached tasks with a positive attitude. We genuinely enjoyed having her stay with us and appreciated her willingness to help wherever needed. Mo was respectful, easy-going, and a delight to spend time with. We would happily welcome her back anytime and highly recommend her to other hosts.

Laura looked after our cats, house, garden, and plants for two months, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She is verry reliable, flexible, and communicative. Upon our return, we found relaxed cats, thriving plants, and a beautifully clean and tidy home. Laura is a genuinely kind and trustworthy person. We would welcome her back anytime!

Anna and her companion, the kind dog Mouse, were very nice guests to host. Anna was a quick learner and was a great help on the building project. Mouse did a great job doing the dishes after all meals. Anna is a cheerful and sociable person, very positive and solution-oriented. And best of all good company after work. Highly recommended!

Niklas war, ohne die geplanten Unterbrechungen, zwei Monate bei uns. Er musste vielseitige Aufgaben erledigen. Von Zaunreparaturen, Holzspalten, ein altes Haus mit uns zusammen ausräumen, Weidetiere versorgen und kleinere Arbeiten mit Holz. Niklas war im Großen und Ganzen den Anforderungen gewachsen, und bemühte sich auch sein Fachwissen zu erweitern. Er arbeitete nach entsprechender Anleitung zuverlässig. Seine Aufgaben ging er mit der notwendigen Umsicht an und bemühte sich um gute Ergebnisse. Auch hatte er ein selbstbewusstes Auftreten. Niklas ist ein fröhlicher und freundlicher Mensch, er hat sehr viel bei uns lernen dürfen. Kritik nahm er offen auf und versuchte sie umzusetzen. Die erworbenen Kenntnisse setze er ein. Wir wünschen Ihm alles Gute und viel Erfolg auf seinem weiteren Lebensweg.

Nous vous recommandons vivement un séjour chez Inès et Mathilde. Elles sont toutes les deux très agréables à côtoyer et nous avons passé de super moments en leur compagnie. Elles ont aussi su nous donner des tâches qui correspondaient bien à nos profils et rester patientes avec nous. On a aussi été touchés par leur générosité, car elles nous ont partagé des fruits qui poussaient sur leur terrain, elles nous ont fait goûter à la cuisine créole et elles nous ont donné pleins de bonnes recommandations pour visiter la Guadeloupe. En plus de leur côté humain incroyable, on s’est tout de suite sentis à l’aise chez elles et leur terrain était vraiment magnifique et bien aménagé. On a énormément apprécié l’étagère de jeux de société et la magnifique vue sur la mer depuis la cuisine. Bref, nous retirons beaucoup de positif de notre moment chez elles et on leur souhaite le meilleur!

Belinda and Wesley were exceptional volunteers during their time with us in May and June. They helped with gardening, landscaping, and several small art projects, and truly excelled at everything they did. They brought great energy, attention to detail, and many thoughtful suggestions that improved the projects they worked on. Beyond their skills, they were also very pleasant to be around, respectful, positive, and easy to host. We highly recommend Belinda and Wesley and would be very happy to welcome them back anytime.
