Hi there! I'm Ana, originally from Croatia but currently living in the UK. I'm fluent in both Croatian and English, and I'm using Workaway as a way to learn more about farm and ranch life — something that’s always been close to my heart.

During my childhood summers, I helped out on my family's small farm where we grew vegetables and kept chickens and pigs. It was all for personal use, but those experiences stayed with me, and now I’m keen to get back into that lifestyle — this time with more focus and a real willingness to learn.

I’m especially drawn to working with animals, whether that’s feeding, grooming, mucking out, or just spending time with them. I absolutely love dogs, and I’d be thrilled to help out with horse grooming or riding, though I’d be learning from scratch. I’m also open to helping with childcare — I’ve worked in a children’s nursery in Croatia, organising activities and helping with daily routines, so I’m comfortable around kids too.

I have first aid training, I’m responsible, independent, and easygoing by nature. I learn quickly, I’m not afraid of hard work, and I genuinely enjoy being useful. I also love cooking — though full disclaimer: not everyone likes my cooking, but I promise it’s made with heart!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Animal care – I’m especially good with dogs! I’ve got one myself, so I’m used to walks, baths, cuddles, and the occasional negotiation over who owns the sofa. I’d love to learn more about other animals too — especially horses.

Childcare – I’ve worked in a nursery back in Croatia, helping with activities and daily routines. I’m calm, kind, and pretty good at keeping kids entertained without screens.

Cooking & cleaning – I mostly cook for myself, so I’d say I’m adequate in the kitchen — I can follow recipes and keep things simple. Where I really shine is cleaning — I actually enjoy it (no, really!) and I’m always tidy and organised.

Admin & organisation – I’ve got a background in admin roles, so I’m confident using computers, keeping things organised, and figuring out practical systems (I genuinely like spreadsheets… weird, I know).

Driving – I have a full licence and can drive if needed, whether that’s town runs or helping with errands.

Positive attitude – I’m adaptable, and happy to pitch in wherever I’m needed. I may not have all the experience yet, but I’m quick to learn and not afraid of getting stuck in.
