Description
My partner Peter and I live on a community, or multiple occupancy, in a place called the Promised Land on the north coast of New South Wales near the town of Bellingen. On our share we have vegetable gardens, native gardens, fruit trees, chooks, ducks and our dog, Jessica. There are six households on the property and as well as looking after our own areas we share farm equipment with the other community members and also do bush regeneration on the shared land. We use organic methods and have experience in both syntropic and regenerative agriculture.
We would really love some help in the various gardens and other general work around the property. We are both trained horticulturalists and enjoy sharing our love of gardening and knowledge of native species. We are hoping to host visitors who also love gardening and there are often small maintenance tasks around the house and animal enclosures.
We have a separate self-contained studio near our house for visitors to stay. We are happy to supply fresh eggs and breakfast staples as well as share an occasional dinner, in return for 3 hours help a day. The rest of the time you can enjoy the beauty of the area with it's mountains and creeks and close proximity to waterholes and national parks. Bellingen town is a 15 minute drive away and has many cafes, restaurants and music venues.
We love living on this special place and it's a pleasure to be able to share it with others. We have both travelled and enjoy hosting people from all around the world.

We have both travelled overseas in the past and enjoy meeting people from other cultures. We would love to learn about your background and experience and would be happy to invite other members of our community to share a meal with you.
Aide
We'd really like help weeding, mulching, composting, sowing seeds in the nursery, and planting flowers and vegetables. There's also chooks and ducks to care for and some general property work depending on your skills. We would mainly work alongside you and are happy to explain tasks as we go along, including identifying native plants when doing bush regeneration.

Hébergement
We have a separate self-contained studio with a queen bed, verandah, kitchen, shower and toilet. There is WIFI and a good library of books. We are happy to supply breakfast items including fresh eggs. We are also happy to cook the occasional shared evening meal at our house in return for up to 15 hours a week of help with 2 full days off.

We are 15 minutes out of town so having your own vehicle would be an advantage although we are happy to drive you. The beach is another 20 minutes away and we go there with the dog most weekends. You would be welcome to join us. There are many national parks in the region and also places to walk and swim nearby.
We are non-smokers and would prefer no smoking in or near the house or studio.

Digital nomads are welcome and we have good WIFI in the studio. As we are seeking only 3 hours help per day, the afternoons and evenings would be free.

We have a spot near the studio if you wanted to park a camper/motorhome and you could still use the studio facilities.
