Description
We are a Hostel & Cafe situated in Mount Lavinia (south Colombo), Sri Lanka. The Hostel is 200m from the beach (the best one in Colombo area), there are some nice restaurants and bars. The beach is not a surf spot, but it's an amazing spot for Scuba diving, since there are some wreck places. Hostel is also close to the main road but still in pretty quiet area.
About the Hostel - We have dorms and some private rooms and also small BBQ restaurant, which was recently opened. The best spot is the rooftop garden with kitchen, where all the people are meeting for chat, drink, sunbathing, cooking, yoga or meditation.
We have also opened up a cafe and are planning on opening up a bar, which means there is a lot of activity , so we are looking for outgoing personalities
If you don't have a common sense, please, just skip this ad, ain't nobody got time for that.
What are we looking for?
We need someone who is not afraid of work, you're not going to be our slave, but we need some work to be done. But no worries we are friendly, so for sure we can somehow make it work and schedule it depending on your plans as well. The minimum stay could be a couple of days, a week or a month, that is up to you.

We need someone responsible with great customer service to cover us during our holiday. Cover us means reception tasks, check-ins/check-outs, guest entertaining and checking the cleanliness (there is local housekeeping guy).

You are gonna get one bed in a mix or female dormitory room. Each room has a en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a common kitchen and rooftop garden, which could be used as well. Linens and towels will be provided. U can use unlimited hostel wi-fi. In your off time you can benefit from the rooftop terrace, which could be used for yoga, meditation or just chilling out.

As we mentioned, there is main road very close, so you can just easily hop on the bus and get to Colombo city center (temples, museum, fish market, shopping,..) for aprox 30 Rs. The Mount Lavinia train station is just 15 min walk away. You can jump on the train to the south or to the city center for connecting trains. You can go to the beach, try Scuba diving or snorkelling. If you wanna travel around the island, Colombo is a great spot for the beginning of your journey.

I had an amazing time at the hostel in Colombo and the other hostels on the island.
My only task was to walk to the guests, give them tips on where to go and stay at the reception sometimes when the receptionists has a lunch break. ( Almost never happened.)
