Description
Friendly couple with 1 dog living on a 180 acre lifestyle block with bush tracks/forest streams. We generate our own power with hydro and solar and have an under ground spring for water. We have chickens and a few cattle. We are 8 kms out of the small town of Thames.

Our valley has nice hiking and a pretty mountain stream with lovely swimming holes. Beyond our valley (30-60mindrive) are some of the most scenic beach and coastal areas in N.Z.

Awwwe i really enjoyed my stay at ann and peters paradise. :-) beautiful in the nature. And a lot of activities. It never got borring. I stayed a feed and the time was over way to fast hehehe. :-)

Ludwina was an excellent find, well traveled, interesting , great worker and just fun to be around. A sunny disposition meant she delt with all tasks well and mixed with an assortment of folk really positively.

Anna and Tamina were excellent to have workawaying at ours. Despite their young age they brought a mature approach to living at our place. They were always happy, positive and FUN to have around. They worked well and brought a great attitude to everything.

Jon has been so helpful. A mature, intelligent chap with real english skills on board. Don't let his age fool you, he works well above his 18 years, he has done digging, chainsawing ,cleaning, gardening, dog washing etc and works well, hard and unsupervised. A great asset for our life style block.

Perfect first experience here. Peter and Ann are very easy going and calm. The place was for me ideal, off grid, surrounded by forest. I had a lot of autonomy in work, that was always varied. The house is lovely, the dogs are lovely, the food is great ! Nothing to say more ! Thanks a lot for your generosity :)

Denis was a big help at our place chopping and stacking fire wood, spraying weeds with organic herbicide , cleaning our house and mowing and pruning flaxes. He has a good work ethic and was slow, methodical and thorough in his tasks , doing a good job,which was what we wanted. He navigated the surrounding tracks well in his down time.

We stay our last week in NZ with Annie and Peter. Was a great week! With a little of hard and fun job but for greats thing in change, like a hot pool in the night or walking to see the Kauri trees or eat a thipical food. Than your dog are so good and fun and your house is in a wanderfull place! So thank you very much!

Had a wonderful stay at peter and Ann's house. Beautiful location in the mountains with lots of hiking trails around. 4 lovely dogs that like to in the mountains as well. Peter and Ann are very nice people and it was a great start of my new Zealand adventure. Thanks

Thomas worked his butt off in the hot sun, digging ditches, laying drains, spraying weeds(organic herbicide),stacking wood, fencing and anything else we needed help with. I'm real glad you enjoyed your self Thomas, Gracie says hello.

Peter, Anne, Max and their dogs are awesome! We really enjoyed our stay there and didn't want to leave. Their property is really big and gorgeous and we felt really welcomed at their home. Would definitely recommend when they come back from their visit to Germany!

Lukas was excellent. A more positive person would be hard to find. Happy enthusiastic and willing to spend hours working at our place. Great company to, he was a great fit into our family. We all still talk about Lukas is fond terms and my son and I still try to reproduce his ultracool accent! One of the best.

Bene and Astrid are lovely girls with a great positive attitude. They worked really hard doing lots of different jobs ( cleaning, gardening, babysitting, pet minding and house sitting, and cooking) and fitted into our family easily. It was a real pleasure getting to know them and learning about their lives and families in Denmark.
