  Nestled beside a small fishing village in the northwestern part of Sri Lanka, right next to the Kalpitiya lagoon, our project has been growing sustainably since July 2013. We are continuously improving our eco-friendly approach and strive to create a place where water sports lovers and nature enthusiasts can feel at home, while leaving the smallest footprint on our surroundings.
  
  But our mission goes beyond hospitality. We aim to instill the values of sustainability within the local community, ensuring that they develop the skills needed to support themselves in the long run. And this is where **you** can make a real difference.
  
  **How You Can Help**
  We are looking for proactive, out-of-the-box thinkers who can **coach, guide, and empower our local team**.
  Sustainability is not just about resources, it’s about **people**. What may seem like common knowledge to you might be completely new to our local team, and your positive influence can help them improve their efficiency, mindset, and skill set.
  
  **What to Expect**
  Before considering this experience, here are some key aspects to understand:
  
  ✅ **The project is locally led:** The sponsors and founders are not on-site. Our focus is on **empowering the locals**, not replacing them.
  
  ✅ **We have a dedicated team:** Our core group of 6–8 members already manages different areas of the project. **We do not lack manpower but we need efficiency, guidance, and structure.**
  
  ✅ **Hands-on involvement is essential:** If you prefer not to get your hands dirty or are looking for a relaxed, budget friendly holiday, this is **not** the right fit.
  
  ✅ **Balance of Give and Take:** This is a collaboration, not just a volunteering opportunity. While we provide an enriching experience, we expect **dedication, initiative, and a willingness to contribute meaningfully**.

  Are you a traveler looking to gain hands-on experience while contributing to a local community? If you have one of the following skills, we invite you to spend **a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks** with us. In return, we offer **food and accommodation**—the same as our local team—providing an authentic Sri Lankan experience.
