Hi there! I'm Sara :)

I'm from Toronto, Canada, and am currently residing in Edinburgh, Scotland, with my dog, Stella (she's a shepherd mix, rescue from Northern Manitoba). We moved across the pond for a new adventure almost 3 years ago and are loving every second! We spend as much time as possible outdoors, on long walks and the occasional hike.

I'm 28 years old and work full time for a children's charity in the UK. Utilising my annual leave and proximity to Europe, I've been lucky enough to be able to travel and explore different places and cultures. I'm eager to learn new things and share new experiences through Workaway!

I love cooking and baking, even more so for others - my current favourite cuisine to make at home is Mexican. I enjoy reading and watching movies (I'm a sucker for a good romance). I'd like to think I've got a city version of a green thumb with loads of houseplants and herbs growing in my windowsill but am keen to get my hands dirty and expand my gardening/farming knowledge.

I love animals of all sorts and am a huge fan of children! My outgoing and creative spirit thrives when surrounded by good energy, but equally enjoy quiet time and my own company. My loved ones would describe me as being kind, inquisitive, brave, and friendly.

I grew up only learning French at a basic level from the ages of 9-16 years old with minimal opportunities to practice, but I have a basic understanding of the language and would love to be re-introduced to French by immersing myself in the culture and community, however this is not essential as I'm just as happy in an English speaking environment.
