    Hi, I’m Petter, a 30-year-old from Norway.
I recently finished my exchange studies in Beppu, Japan, and decided to stay longer to explore, learn, and connect before eventually heading back to my colder home country.

🤝 Hospitality: Experience from hotels and retail, skilled in welcoming guests, problem-solving, and teamwork.

💪 Practical help: Hands-on with cooking, cleaning, organizing, and gardening. I train regularly, am physically strong, and enjoy taking on heavier tasks when needed.

📄 Learning: Currently completing teacher training courses (TESOL). A curious and motivated learner, always eager to develop new skills.

🇳🇴 Languages: Native Norwegian, fluent in English, and learning Japanese.

🙈🙉🙊 Personal qualities: Outgoing, open-minded, and tolerant, with a genuine love for people (and animals).

    - Currently working as a volunteer in a farm in Okayama. Let me know if you have any questions!

I learn languages by paying close attention to how people speak, body language, and recognizing familiar sounds or patterns. Not fluent in many languages, but know small parts of many languages. I believe even a knowing a few words in other languages goes a long way, practically and to connect with people.

  • Que habilidades tienes?

I grew up in a family with dogs, a love for people, and a curiosity about how things work, socially, practically, and culturally. I’ve got a bachelor in Hotel Management, and currently studying Social Anthropology (exchange in Japan this semester).

My exchange semester made me realized that I want to stay in Japan or Asia for a longer period. Therefore I am open to help out and support where I am useful for the next few months.

With over a decade of experience in retail, hospitality, and care work, I’ve seen how small gestures can make a big difference. I’m no tech expert, but I understand tools like AI from a practical, analytical, and human perspective.

Life in Norway, traveling through Europe, and living in Japan have taught me a lot about respect, adaptation, and connecting through everyday rhythms. I strive to understand people, help where I can, and learn by doing.

I’m analytical, grounded, and always looking to grow, ready to bring a clear head and warm presence wherever I go!

Prefer to stay active, but I appreciate meaningful conversations that offer different perspectives. The japanese experience, and studying social anthropology has deepened my curiosity for people and other cultures. I love connecting through small moments, spotting cultural quirks, and expanding my knowledge.
