Hello! I'm Nikki, I am a 28yo from Sydney, Australia :)
I have worked the past 3 years as a preschool teacher, so I love children and have a giving, caring nature.

I have decided to take a career break to travel and learn from the "school of the world" :) I am planning to stay in Europe for 6 months from May-October 2025.
Last year when I stayed in Japan for 1 month I learned that I really love cultural exchange and value living like a local a lot more so than touristic travel, and I love to have those authentic experiences off the beaten track rather than staying in my comfort zone in the cities.

About my work ethic and motivations:
I am good at thinking creatively and coming up with ideas for activities and art projects, as well as thinking and problem solving.

I am looking forward to work hard and help others with their projects!
It really appeals to me to put all my effort and hard work and love into a project, that is not for money, but rather to help others, and for a good cause.
I love to take pride in my work and do things properly and thoroughly, with loving care and attention to detail.

Passions:
I am passionate about the environment, conservation and an eco-friendly lifestyle.
I have done some gardening as a hobby and helping on my parents farm, but I would love to gain more experience and learn about permaculture.
I studied dressmaking for 3 years, so I love sewing and making things with my hands, this also gave me a good eye that can be transferred to many other skills that involve measuring, cutting and construction and being precise in my work.
As a teacher of course I am also passionate about children's rights and education.

Hobbies and lifestyle:
I love being active and being outdoors. I practice 30 minutes yoga first thing when I wake up, every morning without fail.
My hobbies include yoga, pilates, climbing, dancing, hiking, swimming at the beach, exploring nature, camping, crochet, art, reading, learning languages.
I have recently gotten into a conscious dance practice called 5rhythms, and am super interested to delve more into these kind of spiritual/healing practices the world has to offer.
I am very laidback and love listening, hearing about others stories and life experience.

Que habilidades tienes?

I have volunteered in Bush Regeneration before which involved physical labour, weeding and planting native plant species to regenerate and conserve the ecosystem.
I have some gardening experience and always want to learn more, especially about permaculture.
I also have graphic design experience if you need any help creating a website, or using photoshop, or just help with computers/technology in general.
I have worked on my parents farm before and used a chainsaw to chop tree branches, as well as planting, weeding, sawing wood, etc, so I am not opposed to getting my hands dirty!
I have a good fitness level and very keen to try anything and learn new things, while giving any task my best shot!
I have studied Applied Fashion Design & Technology at a technical college for 3 years so I am proficient in sewing, if you need help with any sewing projects or mending clothes, or even making clothes from scratch!
I also studied Diploma in Early Childhood Education and have worked as an Early Childhood Educator for 3 years.
I am very crafty and good at hands-on tasks and making things.

I am super interested in learning more about communal ways of living, being in tune with the land and nature and learning to be self sufficient while having a deep respect for the environment. I dream of one day being able to live in such a way that aligns with my values, while contributing something towards social good for the world, such as running a community centre. I also dream of having my own plot of land with permaculture garden, food forest and chicken coop one day, and perhaps building an eco home, so I will put my all into learning as much as I can about these things while travelling and absorbing wisdom from communities around the world.
