Descripción
Hi there!
I’m Lina-Marie, a 23-year-old German who enjoys learning, making music, connecting with people and experiencing new cultures. I’m glad you stumbled upon my profile and took the time to read it!
I’m currently studying math and English to become a secondary school teacher, and in September 2025, I hope to spend a few months in Vancouver. While staying abroad is a part of my degree, I see it as much more than that – I’m excited to fully experience life in a new place, get involved and share my skills. I’d love to join a family where I can help out however I can– whether that’s with kids, household tasks, cooking or simply sharing good conversations and experiences.
I’d describe myself as a happy and optimistic person – someone who puts their heart into everything they do. Whether it’s working with children and young people, encouraging others to pursue their passions or simply helping out in the way I can, I always strive to bring positive energy to those around me.
I can’t wait to meet new people, learn from different experiences, and hopefully bring something positive to the places I go. If this sounds like a good fit for what you’re looking for, I’d love to hear from you!

Que habilidades tienes?
I have a lot of experience working with children and teenagers, both through my studies and in my free time, and I’ve always enjoyed it. I just finished a 5-month internship at a secondary school and enjoy teaching anything I can (from math and languages to any kind of games or music).
For almost two years, I’ve been conducting the youth music ensemble of my local orchestra. Beyond leading weekly rehearsals, performances, and trips, I also represent the ensemble’s interests within the larger orchestra, ensuring that their voices are heard.
I take care of my 2-year-old nephew twice a week. Besides the usual tasks that come with it, I come up with creative ways to spark his curiosity in- and outside.
Teaching, conducting and caring for my nephew have strengthened my organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities. I’ve also learned to adapt when things don’t go as planned as well balancing guidance and challenge meeting the individual needs of children.
Over the past few years, I’ve discovered how much I enjoy cooking. Even though I eat meat, I often cook vegetarian meals and really enjoy the creativity and fun of preparing food — especially when I’m cooking for others.
I'm confident in keeping my space well-organized, ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment. In general, I genuinely care about the well-being of those around me and always try to make sure everyone feels comfortable and included. I’m someone who picks up on how others are feeling, and I do my best to support them.
I’m a patient person who takes time to really listen and make sure people feel heard and supported.
I love learning and am always excited to pick up new skills, especially when they involve creativity in any form.

Algo más...
“The way we spend our days is the way we spend our lives.”: I came across this quote last year, and it’s stuck with me ever since. It reminds me to be intentional about how I spend my time (whether that means being with loved ones, staying active or trying new things).
I’ve been playing the flute for almost 14 years and love making music with others. It’s so rewarding to pass on that joy and support young musicians as they learn.
I love getting to know new people and experiences, and the more time I spend in a new environment, the more I fully engage.
I always put my heart into what I do – whether it’s something small or something I’m really passionate about, I give it my all.

From the first moment we met, they made me feel like I’m part of their family. I help get the kids ready in the morning, play games with them, join the family on some of their trips and enjoy dinner with them. I also help with folding laundry, cooking and cleaning the… read more
