Hi! My name is Lucas (20 years old), and I love to explore!!
I love exploring the nature around me: the feeling of seeing whats on the on the other side of the ridge or what salamanders lie under the rock at my feet. I love to explore the lives and cultures of those around me, and my goal in traveling is to truly understand the people of the world and their experiences. I love to listen, to hear stories, and my dream is to walk the world in as many shoes as I can. I also love to explore the world of academia. Similar to the feeling of cresting the nearby hill, I chase the feeling of turning the next page in a book, and I love discussing philosophy and world events.
In the past year, I have traveled to Switzerland, Czech Republic, Cuba, Hawaii, Hungary, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and more. I just finished up my first year at Stanford where I am studying economics and sustainability, and I'm looking to have another taste of exploration in my three months off!

I'd love to learn the language of where I'm staying! I'm currently learning Spanish, but I would love to add another language to that list. I also have experience as an English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor for spanish-speaking students.

Que habilidades tienes?
Education: I am currently studying at Stanford and have worked part-time as a tutor for two years. Able to teach up to college level math, english, history, and science.
Construction/ Carpentry: I worked construction for four years during high school, where I learned skills in interior renovation and exterior property maintenance.
Landscaping: I started a landscaping company six years ago and have worked thousands of hours doing every landscaping job you can image.
Farming: I lived in rural New Hampshire for multiple summers & winters, where I aided with basic farm tasks and learned how to tap trees for sap. I also worked on an Amish farm for several weeks a few years ago.
Painting: I have painted almost a dozen high-end murals and large art pieces displayed at my school.
Web/ Coding Skills: I have built 4 high quality websites for local businesses in my area, and I have the ability to write basic programs.
Haircutting: Random, but I have around 8 regular haircutting clients (male) :)

I love music! I listen a lot of classic bands like America, the Eagles, and Grateful Dead, as well as artists like Bob Dylan. I play pretty beginner guitar, but still have a great time playing and signing along with friends! I also love solo traveling and have backpacked through Switzerland, Cuba, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Hawaii, and Hungary. (hopefully many more to come!) I also adore working with kids and animals.
