Hi everyone :) I’m Léane Derrien a French girl who’s travelling currently in Indonesia! I love this country so doing a workaway would be an opportunity to discover a new side of Indonesia. Last year, I took a gap year to fully dedicate myself to a cause that truly matters to me: children’s rights. I volunteered with UNICEF during that time. This year alongside my studies, I also worked as a babysitter. Two years ago, I spent time in Spain as an au pair, where I taught French to three children. These experiences have made me very comfortable working with kids — I’m patient, caring, and I genuinely enjoy teaching.
In addition, I have volunteered with the Red Cross, supporting people without shelter, as well as in a community café and a migrant shelter. These experiences have taught me to be adaptable, compassionate, and resourceful.
I speak French, English, and Spanish, and I love sharing languages and cultures with others. I also enjoy cooking and would be happy to help in the kitchen wherever I go
