Currently at our home base in Tampa, FL helping out with the Hurricane relief efforts by cooking/serving food to affected victims. Just got back ferom Europe including teaching English in Poland.

KIAL
I'm a retired Director (57 years old) of a software security company and me and my wife have been traveling the past several years, checking in with our adult kids (3) 1-2 times a year. Traveling before we have grandkids!
Pre covid, we were in the Peace Corp (Health and Sanitation) in Ghana; completed 9 weeks of training, only to be evacuated. Very disappointing after the 2 year application process! Thoroughly screened by the US government.
Have been actively involved in the community while raising our kids (and their friends!).
Hobbies include learning Spanish and sign language (well, trying anyways), watching US football, hiking with my wife, hanging with my kids, traveling, reading, trying to eat healthy, and just enjoying life while we can.
SInce we have been traveling so much we thought it would be cool to do more of a home stay to get to know locals, and figured with our life experience we would be able to contribute be it language exchange (English), childcare, light household chores, gardening etc!

Hi! I'm a wife of over 30 years (college sweethearts), a mom of 3, a former foster care parent (Now he's my son!), former PTA president, current Lawyer licensed with the state of California.

While raising our 3 kids I was very active in their school and community; in charge of the Peer court program (diversion program for teens breaking the law), various school committees and fundraisers and classroom volunteer. Also licensed as a California substitute teacher.

Our house had an open door policy and kids were in and out -very fun, a little chaotic.

Former Peace Corp volunteer in Ghana -cut short due to covid.
Skills include: general "mom" skills (helping with kids, general house and garden duties, organization skills), and all the skills that you learn in life, such as communication skills, etc.
Can help with English as well. I have a positive attitude and love being around people; love animals as well.
Been traveling a few years and am excited to continiue the journey

Our traveling volunteerism has included teaching English in Colombia, teaching English in Poland, and doing eco projects in the Dominican Republic.

We can help the host with English language, help with kids/pets, around the house/yard, and of course any type of business issue for which we are qualified if that is applicable.
We raised 3 kids and lived on 6 acres so the skills that go with that I would say include
how to communicate effectively with children
how to instill values into children
how to teach children
how to take care of animals
how to take care of land
general house chores
general garden chores

Teaching English
help kids with homework (Kial would have to help with any advanced math)

KIal: Love playing cards, playing basketball, watching football, and am always available to watch pretty much any sporting event.
Love board games, even kid's games.
And am always down for a hike or a stroll through town!
