Hi,
my name is Elisa and I am 28 years old. For now I am living in Germany, working as a social worker in a home for people with disabilities. I am an open-minded, adventurous, nature loving person who loves everyhing that has to do with travelling, nature (outdoor activities), music, running, yoga, animals and making new connections with nice people. I come from a big family with a lot of siblings, so taking responsibility, to organize independently are things I learned really early and what I like to do. Therefore I also like having nice company and I think I am as well :)
I also love to be creative and to get lost in little projects like crafting, upcycling, drawing etc.
I am very curious and interested in new stories, backrounds, opinions and am always willing to learn something new. I eat vegetarian and I really like cooking and baking!
Theres not really more to say about me exept I like connecting to new people, having good talks and trying and learning new things about life and about myself constantly- and most important to me: to share and exchange with each other.

I always were someone who loves working with people in general. Because of that I decided to study social work, and I absolutely love my job. Since University I had multiple Jobs in different social fields, like in kindergarden, homes with adults with disabilities, facilities with kids with special needs and I did a lot of babysitting and I really love that kind of work with people.
I also worked at Cafês and had a few cleaning-jobs so I really don't have a problem with those kind of tasks. My mother language is German and I speak English and a little bit of Spanish and French. I never taught those languages but would be open to do (German and English).
We always had cats at home and I also have one by myself and know how to treat and take care of them and other animals.
I love to "upcycle" things at my home and instead of giving or throwing things way, I like to use or make something new out of things. (I always let inspire myself through others or the internet or something like that).
Because my dad is a gardener, I am used to help in the garden and getting dirty and I really love it because I can be outside the whole time and I think it's fun to always learn new things about plants and gardening in genereal.
Last year, when I travelled around South America, I gained a lot of "Workaway-Experiences". I really like the concept of taking and giving, sharing, helping and spending time together in a group.
I worked in a monkey rescue, did some childcare, did a lot of planting, built some constructions, took care of animals (horses, dogs, cats) and this kind of stuff- so I can shine with a little bit of experience, and I am always willing to learn and grow

No creo que haga falta describir todas las cualidades de Elisa, no solamente como voluntaria, sino como persona, así que simplemente diré que es la mejor voluntaria que podría existir!! Me ayudo y me enseñó muchas cosas durante el tiempo que la hospede!! Espero puedas volver pronto, te deseo todo lo mejor!!

It needs a lot of words to describe my experience at the finca. A few of them would be amazing, incredible, teaching, funny, intense, inspiring and much more.
Same as a lot of other Volunteers it was my first workaway experience at all and my first time travelling on my own. I was really nervous in the beginning but Sol welcomed me so lovely and… read more warm hearted that I knew that this is the perfect and the right start for my journey. I immediately felt comfortable and as a part of a group, which I really loved since the beginning!
The volunteers, Sol, the animals and the work itself taught me a lot! Now I believe the saying that everything is possible if you just want it and if you give Trust and patience. Sometimes you just have to try and figure things out. In the beginning I thought many times I couldn‘t do it, sometimes there was frustration but then it transformed into a lot of proud moments with a lot of Endorphines and the feeling that I can change the world now so you don‘t need drugs at this place haha.
I was a catlady and afraid of horses before but after the shortest amount of time I turned into a doglady that loved horses so much! Their Energy, their character, their effect on people, especially on me. Sol always wanted me to trust in myself and I am so deeply thankful for that lesson and her support to push me in the right direction with beautiful conversations and the right things to say. She has a big big heart and always wants to help people (or animals) whenever she can ♥️ In return she would like you to listen carefully, to show Initiative and to always give your best.
It‘s a very simple but such a beautiful life up there with the prettiest sunsets and the best deserts in the world!
The work includes doing the chicken, feed them, clean their spaces, collecting eggs, brush the horses, train Alarik with Sol, clean the boxes, doing the bees. There is also a lot of whoodshipping, planting, building, painting, watering, fixing, recycling and in general always something to do. There is always the opportunity to first be productive and then have the afternoon off to go to the nearby beach, the beautiful Nationalpark Machalila, to Ayampe or whatever you want to do (Theres a lot) 🌞 Communication is the key here :)
Long story short, I had an amazing time there and I met a lot of beautiful, amazing people! I will never forget this place and will definetly come back
