My name is Karina!
I'm 29 years old and I live in Austria!
I'm working as a Kindergartenteacher in Austria and I try to travel during all my vacation days or summer/winter break. So I have really good skills for taking care of kids but I would also love to try something different, I am open minded and interested to try and learn new things, maybe something I've never done before.
I already worked as a workawayer in Guadeloupe, in a hostel were I had to do some cleaning and at a private house were I helped to do some renovation work.
If I would have to pick 3 words to describe myself I would say: HONESTLY, PATIENTLY and SPONTANEOUSLY
I have an adventurous soul and I love to get to know other countries and other cultures.
Things I love to do: boardsports (Snowboarding, Wakeboarding, Wakesurfing, Londboarding, Surfing), playing my guitar, Yoga, laughing and of course traveling!!!
I'm always on the search for sunsets, sunrises, rainbows, shooting stars, positive vibes and great people with a heart of gold!

Karina is very nice girl, It was a real pleasure to have her at home.
She's as an angel, discreet, effective, gentle and sensitive. Always happy.
She didn't know about painting but she follow my instructions and did a perfect job alone.
You can really trust this kind young women.

I actually don’t like to write a bad review but in my case I would have been happy to know what’s going on there before I went there!
I was supposed to stay for 2 weeks but I left after one week cause I didn’t feel really comfortable there and I was really happy to find last minute another host for doing Workaway...Laurent!
When I arrived I asked… read more what should I do what will be my work and they just said I don’t know! So you kind of end up sitting around the whole day waiting for someone to tell you what to do! Other Workawayers told me than how I could help them but there is no plan about anything! They said we can have our days off whenever we want to so we told them we want to be off Friday and Saturday but then Friday morning we found a letter in the kitchen that tells us we can’t be off cause there will be some important work to do in the afternoon so we waited the whole day until 4 o’clock when they finally got back and the important work I had to do was to clean the freezer, I could have also done this 2 days later!
The owner of the hostel was arguing almost every day with someone of us and you could not really talk with him about a problem! When we went somewhere they got so drunk that I had to drive home cause I don’t want to be on a car with a drunk driver! And at night when they were drunk and we were already sleeping they just came in our room!
And instead of food they include surf lessons, what is actually really nice and I really liked it but one day I got really hurt on my leg and I even told the surf teacher that I’m hurt and then immediately left the water because I just wanted to be outside of the water cause I couldn’t feel my right leg anymore! But the surf teacher didn’t care at all and I had to wait two hours at the beach until the surf lesson was over! I think a surf teacher should check on his students when they get hurt, thank god my leg was not hurt so bad at the end but what if it would have been broken? And then on the way back home in the car they even made fun of my injury, they were talking in french so I couldn’t understand but the other people told me! If you don’t speak french they always just talk about you even when you are sitting right next to them, I think that’s really not nice!
During my week there I met some people who did Workaway there and they said I would never do it again there, so I wonder why noone is writing a review so the other people will know about the situation there?
When I left there were 5 Workawayers and not only one guest at the hostel!
So all in all my experience there was not sooooo bad but some things are going really wrong over there so now it’s your own decision if you want to go there and find out by yourself or if you prefer to go to a place with good vibes!
