    Hello there!

Nice to meet you :) I think we should get to know each other, so let me start by introducing myself. Ok so let’s see, the basics: I’m from Orlando, FL, but I’ve lived in Argentina, Japan, and Ecuador as well. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design in Feb. 2024, and I’ve worked with all sorts of branches from said career. I love traveling, and have had the opportunity to go to some countries since I was 11 years old. I’ve been inspired by family members, National Geographic, and even Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days, to reach out to new cultures, food, people and traditions found throughout the globe.

Let’s fast forward to the present “me.” Earlier in 2023, I kinda stumbled upon my childhood dream of becoming a teacher. For some reason, I had never considered education to be my first choice in professions, but there I was, teaching a few subjects in the English language, such as ESL, Graphic Design, Marketing, and Journalism to my peculiar, yet, beloved middle and high school students in Ecuador. I’d say it’s been one of the greatest coincidences chosen by destiny. I’ve learned to learn, as well as to teach, I’ve healed my inner child through these kids who’ve crossed paths with mine, and I’ve had the wonderful experience of working in such a valuable field. During the summer of '24, I worked as the art director at a summer camp in Maine, (through Workaway) and did so many beautiful and creative arts and crafts with children from ages 5-17 loving every bit of it!

I consider myself a creative person, with many artistic abilities and knowledge. I have a green thumb, and a huge heart for all animals. Thankfully, I’ve been connected to nature in different ways such as visiting national parks, hiking, camping, and the occasional little creatures that roam near or in my house, such as iguanas, possums, hummingbirds and lots of other birds. Or, if I’m longing for a barn kind of experience, I’ll most definitely be found amongst llamas, pigs, horses, cows and sheep. I adore our official family pet, Alonso (he’s a cat) and am welcome to loving new little guys as I travel around.

Additionally, I’m eager to learn new recipes. One of my goals while traveling is to collect traditional dishes in my cookbook to take back home and share with friends and family, as I firmly believe that food brings people together in love and harmony. We could exchange a few meals and merge cultures in a delicious manner!

To conclude this elevator pitch, I hope we get to know each other and create lasting memories and meaningful connections.

I’m more than happy to meet each other through Zoom or Google Meets!

As they say, communication is key! The best way to get to know other, I believe, is through their own languages or the ones you can find in common. Having the opportunity to meet people from around the world has helped me understand and realize how important each language is. Even countries who have the same language express themselves in their own unique ways and it's important to have all those bits to better understand each other. I love learning new ways to communicate my thoughts and comprehend what others want to express as well. I also have had the chance to teach English to my students where I work as a teacher, and try to always find new ways to get them to learn it better, since it'll open many doors to them in the future. If I can, teaching Spanish would also be something to look forward to! I would like to improve my French and begin to learn Japanese as well. And of course, any other language I can come across will be always welcome!

  • Que habilidades tienes?

Ok, let's break this down into 5 different categories...

    1. Graphic Design, Branding, and Arts:

I studied Graphic Design with a special mention in Branding in university (2018-2024). In all honesty, I liked a little bit of everything when I was younger, so I never knew what I wanted to study in university until my senior year in high school. Gladly, I was blessed to have people guide me and help me choose my career path. Graphic Design was so new to me and as I began learning more and more about it, I realized how much it moved me. You'll see graphics everywhere, and they're what keep our world moving, one creative step at a time. I've worked in big and small companies, and even created new brands for entrepreneurs who have trusted their projects in my hands to give them a visual identity and bring them to life.

Art on the other hand, has been a part of me ever since I could pick up a crayon. I remember doing all sorts of arts and crafts at home and in school when I was little, always looking for new ways to let that inspiration flow through colors, textures and shapes. I quite like art history as well, and am always happy to stroll through an art museum and expose myself to that stunning world.

    2. Teaching/Working with kids

As I've mentioned before, I'm a teacher as of early 2023, and its been an amazing experience. I've always loved kids of all ages and now I have the official experience of sharing my knowledge with others inside a classroom. I have always had an admiration for my teachers, from Kindergarten to my University years, and believe they have made a huge impact on me as well as others. So, now that I also have the opportunity to pass it on, I realize how amazing it feels to make a change.

Yes, there are quite a few challenges it brings along the way, but at the end of the day, it's all so rewarding. Even when I was in school, I remember teaching my friends when they didn't understand something. Seeing them get it, after me explaining it in a way they'd grasp the concepts felt great. So, if I have the opportunity to continue teaching around the globe, whether it be in schools or in private tutoring, I'm more than excited to do so!

    3. Animal Care

Whether they’re fuzzy, slimy, feathery, or scaly, I welcome all animals in my heart. I was a huge fan of Animal Planet and National Geographic growing up, learning as many fun facts as my mind could store. In fact, remember when I said I wasn’t too sure of what career to pick? Well, being a marine biologist, zoologist or veterinarian were definitely on my list for quite some time when I was little.

Being raised in Florida played a great part in me loving all creatures I could get my hands on. I feel animals so close and special to me because of their transparency and how noble they can be. Some don’t have a single thought behind their eyes, like some orange cats I’ve come across, but that makes them special too. Then, while living in Ecuador, I had the experience of rescuing animals that would wander into my backyard. I’ve helped treat wounds on several critters, remove ticks from iguanas, fix broken wings, revive drowning mice, adopt stray kittens, and nourish fledglings back to life.

And from the creators of baby sitters comes pet sitters. I consider myself both, but for this category, let’s prioritize the family members on four legs… or some fins, or wings. I have experience with cats, dogs, horses, birds, reptiles, you name it! Working at animal shelters, rescue centers, farms or zoos is always a pleasure!

    4. Cooking

Ah yes, my Ratatouille era. Eating is great, but if you have the time to sit down and prepare a meal, they say it adds on to the satisfaction and makes it taste even better. I’ll admit, as a kid, I may have burned a few things, or my pasta came out a bit too soggy, but that never stopped me from trying over and over again. During the pandemic was when I really had the chance to try out new recipes I’d see on Tiktok, or come across in my family’s old cook books. I began experimenting with new ingredients and trying things just because they felt right. Eventually I got the hang of it and pushed and challenged myself to prepare meals that required more experience. I made it my goal to cook as many things I could get my hands on even when supermarkets limited ingredients due to the situation worldwide.

Once things started getting better, and people could once again go out as life returned to normal, I decided to try making Pen Pal friends across the globe through an app I discovered. I met people from all around, and began exchanging recipes with them. I’d ask for a family one or maybe something typically eaten in their homelands. Then, I had the opportunity to backpack in Peru, and made even more friends along the way whom I’d also ask for traditional foods to write down. I’d love to keep filling out my cookbook with as many recipes to share back home.

    5. Problem Solving and Adaptability

Now to finish off, these skills aren’t so much like the rest. These are qualities that I’ve acquired thanks to all my life experiences in general, since they can fit almost any situation. I think it’s important to be able to find solutions to circumstances you weren’t prepared for, as quickly and effectively as possible. Being flexible is a must, in order to make the best of every situation.

Adapting to new environments, new cultures, foods, people and ways of life is important to me, especially when living abroad. I consider it not only my way of making life easier for myself, but also showing others that I’m open to being exposed to new findings. It’s a way to readjust to other surroundings willingly, and I believe that it’s something that helps me be more open minded.

  • Algo más...

I have so many hobbies, mostly art related. I've picked up on sewing with a machine lately, and have discovered my new love for making clothes although I'm no expert. I also like crocheting and knitting ocassionally. Illustrating is a passion that comes from time to time when inspiration hits, and I have experience with almost all mediums both digitally and traditionally. Pottery was a fun activity in my childhood and would love to work with clay again. Painting murals is another skill I possess, and I believe it's a beautiful way to bring life to a city. I love working on children's crafts and teaching little ones how to be creative with just a few materials at hand. I also love photography, as it's a way to capture beautiful moments to treasure later on, as well as a great marketing aid.
