Hello! I'm Alisha, I'm from the UK, and I recently graduated in BSc Physiotherapy. I'm taking some time to travel and be part of new experiences before starting the next stage of my career.
I've just spent a month in Bali, Indonesia, teaching English, which has been a wonderful experience. I enjoy working with children and young people; it's so rewarding to see how much we can learn from each other when we create a nurturing and enriching environment. For me, it’s not about taking control to help; it’s about connecting, exchanging, and having a facilitative approach.
Outside of this, I love cooking and baking (there's a special joy when feeding people!), staying active, reading, and photography. I also have a soft spot for animals and enjoy spending time outdoors - I miss my cat back home in the UK a lot! What motivates me is curiosity and connection; there is much to learn and many people to meet along the way. I hope we can share some time together! :)

I really enjoy languages and how they open up new ways of connecting with people. I’ve tutored English, Science, and beginner-level French before, and I’d love to keep sharing English with others while also picking up bits of local languages along the way.

- Communication & Public Speaking: 3 years as a Student Ambassador, leading campus tours, presenting at events, and supporting students from all backgrounds.
- Leadership & Representation: Elected Undergraduate Science & Health Representative on the university council, voicing student concerns, and working collaboratively to create positive change.
- Healthcare & Wellbeing: Completed over 1,000 hours of clinical Physiotherapy placements, developing strong skills in listening, empathy, problem-solving, adaptability, and working with people of all ages and abilities.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Comfortable working in diverse, multidisciplinary teams and building positive relationships across cultures.
- Cooking & Food Safety: Passion for cooking and baking; Level 2 Food Safety for Catering certification.
- Languages: Fluent in English, and always keen to learn more.
