Hi, my name is Lena, and I’m from Kazakhstan. My first experience with workaway was when I went to Austria to pursue my Master's degree, and it was absolutely incredible! I had the chance to visit amazing places and meet wonderful people along the way. I’ve done workaways in family-run hotels in Norway and Sweden, in magical Lapland in Finland, and at an English café in South Korea. Each of these experiences left me with warm memories and a deep appreciation for the kindness and generosity of my hosts.
I’m calm, hardworking, and always eager to lend a hand. I can speak four languages and have been fortunate to explore more than 30 countries. I’d also love to share stories and tell you about the rich culture of Kazakhstan, my home country in Central Asia.

I have a passion for learning languages and enjoy sharing that passion through teaching. I have experience teaching both English and German and hold a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), an internationally recognized qualification from Cambridge Assessment English. This certification provides comprehensive training for teaching English as a second or foreign language (ESL/EFL) and has equipped me with effective teaching methodologies and techniques to support learners of all levels.

I am a diligent and hardworking person, so you can always count on me to get things done reliably and with care. I love spending time outdoors and would be happy to help with gardening—whether it’s planting, weeding, or simply tidying up to keep everything looking its best.
I also have experience in language teaching and would be delighted to help you with language practice, whether it’s English, German, Russian or another skill I can share.
Being curious and open-minded, I’m always eager to learn new things and broaden my horizons. I’m flexible and ready to take on a variety of tasks—whether it’s assisting with tourists, helping around the house, or supporting you with whatever needs to be done.
