Hello! My name is Naomi. I am new to Workaway and I’m very excited to start my journey here! I am originally from Japan, and currently live in Canada with my partner. Since moving to Canada, I have experienced cultural differences and been exposed to a variety of values that have changed me a great deal. I live a plant-based lifestyle, and I am very interested in sustainable living, especially permaculture. I volunteer at a community garden, planting, weeding, harvesting and preparing for a farm stand. I would love to work farming, growing plants and building or repairing things.
I work at a local organic food store and cook plant-based food. Cooking is a great passion for me. I look forward to learning about new cultures and also discovering new foods in new places.

I am a good listener and work very diligently. I am good at respecting the culture and rules of the place and environment, and doing polite and detailed work. I am also very organized and take pleasure in creating an environment where people feel comfortable.
I am an introvert, but I like to try new things, especially new cultures and experiences, which is something I value when I travel.

I am basically traveling with my partner Jeremy. We love to play board games together. Jeremy especially has a lot of board games and we often host board game nights with friends. We look forward to playing with you all during our traveling.
We also like to play musical instruments. I play the piano and Jeremy plays the guitar and ukulele.
We like to go hiking and walking in the park too. We are not intensely active people, but hiking and walking in nature is an important time for us.
And as I mentioned in my profile, I love cooking and baking. I am looking forward to cook for you, or cook together.
