Hi! My name is Maria, I’m 28 years old, and I’m from Poland. I have been living in Iceland for four years; this place has become my home and the fulfillment of my dreams. I hold a degree in psychology. I work with youth in a special school, and previously I supported children and adults with disabilities. This experience teaches me empathy, gratitude, and mindfulness toward others every day.

I am determined and persistent in pursuing my goals. At work, I value clear rules, transparent communication, and precision. I pay attention to details. Outside of work, I find peace in nature and creative activities. I enjoy caring for plants, spending time with animals, knitting, experimenting with photography and music, and exploring new flavors of plant-based cuisine. I have a strong sense of aesthetics; light, colors, and sounds are very important to me, which is why I pay attention to every detail of my surroundings. I am also a fan of niche perfumes, and my senses of smell, sight, touch, and hearing play a significant role in my life, allowing me to experience the world in all its dimensions.

My friends describe me as empathetic, energetic, and full of humor also a firm and decisive person, while acarrying a lot of childlike curiosity, which helps me connect with young people. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and practicing yoga. I don’t party, I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t smoke, and I don’t use drugs. I set clear boundaries and follow a pescatarian diet.

My English still leaves a lot to be desired, so I would like to improve it and learn to speak more fluently.
