Helllooo, I'm Louis, I sew clothes, make unique pieces by up cycling fabrics or objects and travel the world while making them. The name of my brand is LOUROY (louroy__ on Instagram).
Every city or country I go to is to work towards my dream

After obtaining my double Master in Entrepreneurship and Business and studying both in France and the USA, in Iowa, I backpacked Asia 2 years ago (went to Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, India, Japan)... I visited clothes factories with my sketches in order to find a manufacturer that would make my drawings. I did door to door in fashion hubs in India and Vietnam but couldn't find any of them that would make my clothes in small quantities. My creations are according to them quite complex to make so they need big quantities but I can't afford buying hundreds of units. I then started learning how to sew by myself, recycling fabrics and objects from the bins of Paris.

I then moved to an island in the Philippines during 8 months from June 2024 to February 2025 in order to reduce my cost of living and be able to do shootings and buy fabrics for very low prices. I collaborated with local models but also Miss Universe Philippines, dj...

I have a work permit in Canada and work on an island next to Vancouver since February as a waiter in a high end restaurant for diners and as a gardener in the morning. I therefore have been able to put money aside in the last few months.

I've been going back and forth to LA since February (it's only a 3 hours flight from Vancouver) and would like to settle there for a few months before going back to Vancouver to work next season. I've been to LA for the first time in 2021, I love the city, I feel it in my heart, I love the vibes, the colors, the open-mindedness of people.

I've had Workaway experiences in the past. I volunteered in an association helping kids in a small village in the Philippines. My role was to organize activities and games, sports tournaments, film nights, bonfires, meals... I love kids, wherever I go in the world I just want to have fun with them.

I am now staying at a Workaway host house since February. I do gardening for them three times a week (they have a big property with animals and a vegetable garden), buy groceries once a week on the mainland and cook every Sunday. I also help whenever they need of course, give rides, pick up kids, walk the dogs...

I can help you with gardening jobs, assist in construction jobs, work with animals, I grew up with horses, we also had chickens at home and a few dogs and cats. I really like flowers, fruits and the nature in general, I have played golf since I was a kid, did French championships so I really appreciate beautiful natural landscapes. I have a driving license, a boat license and can drive dirt bikes. I have experience with wood work, cutting, sawing, using chainsaw... I traveled quite a lot in my life, 9 countries in Europe, North Africa and of course Asia and love discovering.
