Hi!! I’m Kim, from British Columbia, Canada.
I love to travel and experience different places and connect with people from all over the world.
I am new to this workaway program, but I am a very hard worker, eager to learn and very excited to be a part of the family, help wherever I can and experience the area as a local.
I have experience doing house Reno’s as I’ve been doing tasks around my own home for the past decade. I have gotten into gardening over the past few years and just this year added a cut flower garden to my yard. I am interested in learning more about plants, flowers and growing things in general. I really enjoy playing in the dirt and getting to watch and help things grow. I really would like to learn more about permaculture and how everything grows and helps other things grow. I enjoy cooking and using the bounty from my garden, as well as, trying different ingredients and learning different recipes.
I have had many different jobs in the past that I think are a great asset to anywhere that might need some help! I have worked in an office, I have computer and social media skills. I have volunteered on the farm, cutting and stacking wood, yard clean up, feeding and cleaning up after the animals, etc. I’ve worked in a nursery taking care of plants. I have done nannying for children of all ages, I truly enjoy being around children, playing and helping with anything they might need. My last position was front end manager of a fitness studio, which included childcare and my current summer job is selling corn. I enjoy trying new things and am very easily adaptable to new scenarios and situations!
I love animals, anywhere that included the chance to be around animals and learn more about caring for different animals, would be a plus.
I enjoy a balance of staying busy and enjoying the quiet, exploring new places, checking out view points, connecting with nature and being around water. I like bike riding, hikes, yoga, swimming, reading books, being creative and open to trying almost anything!

I have worked in the hotel industry, in an office for many years and worked at a nursery. My last job was front desk and child care before I started my summer job hauling corn. I have a wide range of skills as I like to always try new things and always learn.
I am in good health and can do manual labour, I have also assisted in many reno projects and house upgrades. I enjoy working outside and can follow any tasks or directions as required.
