🌻 About me:

I'm Johanna, German/Belgian, currently studying International Relations in the Netherlands. But that is the least interesting thing about me. I'm an avid yoga practitioner who also tries to learn about life in general. I love to find little moments of joy, presence and peace throughout the day, whatever I am doing: connecting with other people, spending time in nature, moving my body or just trying a new hobby (my current phase has been bread making and doing calisthenics). Meditation is also a big part of my daily life - and I'm always on the lookout for ways to deepen my practice.

🌻 Motivation:

With the academic life that comes with my studies, I don't have many opportunities to really tap into the deep layers of my soul - and the reason why I want devote my summers to travel and learn more about gardening, community living, spiritual practices and experiencing other cultures.

I see travelling as a fantastic opportunity to learn, give, share and expand. My travels and various volunteering experiences in Ireland and the UK (through WWOOF) have taught me a lot about teamwork, gardening, community living, childcare and reconnecting with nature. However, I have decided to be more intentional about my destinations and feel more connected to my why. A reason why I value being with like-minded, open-hearted people.

Que habilidades tienes?

🌱 I have gained amazing experience by volunteering on farms for +/- 9 months in gardening, housework and animal care. Lots of weeding, planting, planting out seedlings, cutting grass and looking after animals, as well as chopping and stacking wood.

🌱 I have also worked as an au pair for 2 months, taking care of children (age above toddlers), helping around the house doing laundry, cleaning and cooking.

🌱 I also have experience in the hospitality industry, having worked at a campsite for 6 weeks and helping out in a catering service from time to time at home.

🌱 Currently, my wish is to tap into teaching yoga before committing to a Yoga Teacher Training. So any possibility for me to learn in that area is greatly appreciated!

BUT I would love to learn new skills that challenge me and I'm always happy to get out of my comfort zone.
