Hi all,
My name is Johannes and I`m 33 years old. I`m from Erfurt, Germany. I`m really into music, sport and all kind of outdoor activities.
Workwise I`m a mechatronic technician and I worked the last 9 years as a service techinician maintaining wind turbines. Within this job I was able to save some money for fullfilling my dream of travelling the world.
On my trip i want to improve my language skills and work from time to time. Especially in farm work and hospitalism I`m interested in. I would like to get in contact with locals on my travel, to get authentic impressions of the countries. I would describe myself as a calm, open minded and friendly person who is interested in almost anything.

Update after one year with workaway:
My first workaway station was in the south of Ireland on a horse farm. I was able to improve my english and get some first expirience in farmwork. I had a wonderful time there. My jobs at the farm:
garden works, reparing garden beds, helping constructing riding obstacels, cutting woods, clean out stapels, lunging horses, general cleaning around the house.
Afterwards I moved to Austria for the winter season to work in a hotel. I work here in the breakfast service 5 hours a day. Its a really nice expirience as well.

Outlook for 2023:
In April 23 I will move to Canada, I have a working-holiday-visa for one year and I really looking forward to this time. I am looking for hosts in Canada/ British Columbia to gain my experience in farm work, especially in the work with horses I am interested in.

For my civilian service I worked for one year in a Kindergarten as a child educator.
I have completed an education as „mechatronic technician“ (3,5 year) in Germany.
I have electric, mechanic and technical skills.
I have basic IT skills.
I have basic horse handling skills.
I am experienced in hospitalism. (severing food & drinks)
