Hello, our names are Jess and Cian. We travelled to Canada last summer and after having called Vancouver home for almost a year we are hoping to get on the road and explore more of what Western Canada has to offer beginning this summer. We are new to this platform but are both eager to begin engaging with it. We have travelled the length of Ireland together as well as spending time travelling Europe and are now ready to venture further afield and gain a different travel experience. We are both very easy going people who are always up for a bit of adventure. Jess is a secondary school teacher by trade and Cian works as a locations assistant in film production as well as producing some of his own work. However, we have a field of experience in a variety of other roles including hospitality, administration and retail. Both of us love the outdoors and regularly enjoying hiking. Jess has had horses all her life and by proxy Cian has become a confident convert to the equestrian world who is happily capable to carry out the yard work. Neither of us are afraid of hard work and are more than willing to give anything a go as long as some fun can be had along the way.

We can both contribute a variery of individual skills which compliment one another; making us a good team.

We are both major animal lovers having both grown up with our own cats and dogs. Jess often helps her aunt in her dog daycare and grooming business taking care of animal husbandry, feeding and washing of the dogs in their care.

Jess has grown up with horses, owning her own for the past 15 years. She takes sole care of her own 2 boys as well as managing a small yard of horses for the past 8 years. She a proficient yard manager managing turnout, stable cleaning, feeding routines, field management cleaning and rotation. Cian in turn has also learned many of these skills over the years we have been together and has confidently passed all of Jess' tests!

Working in the locations department of film production, Cians' work is often physical and outdoors based. It involves a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to building marquees, management of properties, parking vehicles and grounds work. The role also requires strong communication and trust with home and business owners as Cian is often the person responsible for looking after the premises for the duration of filming. He prides himself as being the go to man and problem solver on sets.

We are not afraid of hard work, manual work and being outdoors for long hours. We are open-minded and very trainable individuals who are both willing to learn as well as being competent enough to work off our own initiative.

We are both big foodies who enjoy nothing more than immersing ourselves in the food culture of where we visit. We both really enjoy cooking, trying out new and old recipes and making meals for our friends and families to try out and hopefully enjoy!

We have gained valuable life experience through travelling. It is something we are both very passionate about. We have travelled by car, train, bus and boat over both Ireland and Europe and would consider ourselves to be quite cultured. We're both very open minded individuals who are approachable, chatty and willing to get know new people.
