Hi!
I’m Filipe, and I want to travel around the world in 2026. But first, I’d like to have a WorkAway experience in September and November. I’m a digital nomad (math and french teacher and writer). I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, reading, practicing sports, cooking (I make excellent vegan and vegetarian dishes, even though I eat meat or fish almost daily), and I also love a good beer.
I’m very flexible, easygoing, and cultured—but I’m all thumbs when it comes to manual labor (hopeless at building things, agriculture, cleaning tasks..). Still, I’m eager to learn!
But I’m much better in the kitchen or serving drinks, and—as I mentioned—to teaching.

I speak Portuguese and French fluently, along with English, Spanish, and Italian—and I dabble in many others, like Japanese, German, Ukrainian...
First and foremost, I’m an educator and math teacher, as well as a writer (mostly scientific pedagogy books). I worked in moving/logistics in my 20 years old (so I’ve some physical strength) and have some experience working in pubs.

Life here is very close to nature — don’t expect luxury, but rather simplicity and peace. I stayed in a tent during autumn, and even though the nights were chilly, I slept surprisingly well.
