Hi everyone!
I'm Chiara and I'm 30 y/o italian queer woman.
After few years living offgrid, I've decided to dedicate (again) some time travelling and volounteering.
2018-2022 I've been working in the italians Alps on farm (I met them through wwoofing and then..stayed a "bit" longer ahah) and spent 2023 volounteering in Portugal, Lazio. Again on jan-march 2024 i was able to spend some time in Portugal with my previous host and then Spain.

At the farm I've been gardening, foraging wild plants, working in our orchard of blackberries, taking care of the donkeys, chickens, bees, dogs, cats and humans and volounteers living at the farm.
I've been sharing my home with many others International volounteers, being responsible of their arrival and welcome and making lots of new friends.
I also have plenty of experience with catering and working in cafes and restaurants.

Together with a colleague we created the Herbal Garden and started making teas and other products starting from wild and medicinal plants we foraged in the mountaing or grown in the garden.
At the farm, I used to manage educational activities with children and schools who came visiting, so I have lots of outdoor and nature related activities to share! I also used to teach adults about wild plants identification.

My experiences made me more flexible and I really appreciate learning about others life experiences, sharing daily tasks and skills, creating together and work on hared projects.
I love being around enthusiastic, curious and sensitive people who can resonate with me.
I'm both pragmatic and patient and I really value kind assertiveness, autonomy and my personal space, so that when i'm around other aI can be at my best!
I'm also very caring and people say I communicate both calmness and passion when it comes to stuff I care about.

I'm actually really interested (and have basic knowledge and experience) in fermentation, autoproduction, gardening, vegetable and food growing, taking care of animals in antispecist prospective, weed weaving, basketry, natural dyes, regenerative agriculture and seed saving, food forestry and why not eco buildings and everything that will come in my way!
I love to being involved in creative art and craft projects: I have some kind of experience with ceramic, drawing, watercolor, sewing, linoprint, bricolage and of course cooking (I'm vegetarian and gluten free but i have a lot of vegan recipes that I love)!

I have italian driver license.

Right now I'd like to get in touch co-housing and co-living projects, self sufficiency and mutuality, since I'm really thinking about what I want my future to look like and maybe building a small community on my own after some experiences.

What do I have to offer?
I can be very artsy, I like crafting and experimenting with tools and tecniques (I've tried lot of stuff from drawing, painting, to clay, from stamping to natural waving)

I can cook. For big groups, mostly vegetarian and vegan but also for any other special diet (i'm celiac myself and I can help you with groceries and menu making for fellow allergic humans)

I can make hard works, i'm not afraid of dirt or nature in any form, I love gardening and connect with the earth and animals, i'm used to farm works

I have some experience in animals care especially donkeys, chickens, bees but I'm always happy to gain new skills

I can help you with wild foraging and how to use wild foods, particulary wild herbs and fruits
I can take care of a garden, I've been projecting and taking care of our Herb Garden in Pesei and I'm really into seed saving and regenerative agriculture. I have really basic experience working in a small fruits orchard.

I've worked a lot with kids (1-15), both as babysitter and educator, preparing sensorial activities about nature related subject and working with schools and groups

I can communicate and translate italian-english and a bit from spanish. I've been working and living with many international volounteers. I've got experience in the "host place" and i can manage and organize everyday life for other people and other volounteers from planning the arrivals to welcome and stays. I'm really patient, inclusive and open minded

I've been living (alone for some period of times) in a offgrid farm in the alps in all season in the past years, I can take care for my own stuff and place, I am flexible and responsible and I can take care of myself
