Hi, friends! We're Brooke and Joe, newlyweds from Tennessee, USA. If you are a kind-hearted human looking to connect with curious, loving, and hard working nature enthusiasts, we might be a good fit for you. We are interested in learning about different cultures, including the flavors, music, wildlife, and overall vibe that makes our host's home special. We value slow travel and really getting to know the heart of the place that we're visiting.

Brooke:
I grew up surrounded by nature in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, USA. I'm a yoga, pranayama, & meditation teacher who loves holding spaces of connection and exploration. You can often find me deep in a forest or chatting with new friends.

I also have experience working as a certified English as a Second Langauage teacher and was once the marketing and business development director of an American company. I hope to exchange culture, kindness, and joy through WorkAway.

Joe:
I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee surrounded by amazing musicians and artists from around the world. My background is in logistics, but I now work as an electrician because I love using my hands to build things. When I'm not working, I'm playing sports, gardening, playing chess, dancing at a concert, or reading a good book. My main goals with Work Away are to learn new skills and learn from others.

We have similar interests yet offer different skills. We're both hands on people who love to learn new things!

Brooke:
I'm very social and love making people smile, which is probably why I was voted, "Most Likely to Make Someone's Day" at university.
Marketing: photography, videography, social media, design, organic reach / growth, copywriting.
ESL: teaching English as a second language in international communities (beginner- advanced levels)
Yoga: hatha, vinyasa, breath work, meditation, singing bowls / sound baths, power. I'm 200hr certified.
Gardening: planting from seed, weeding, harvesting.
Childcare & animal care.

Joe:
Gardening, cooking, light carpentry, excel, electrical (USA), writing & proofreading, caring for children, caring for animals (dogs & cats), building things, fitness, health, team sports, getting along well with people from different walks of life. Being a cutie :)

We're so excited for our time abroad! We love hosting friends at our home in Nashville, Tennessee to share family style meals and play card games. You can often find us at one of Brooke's yoga workshops, visiting our local farmer's market, or deep in a book. We're both very active and love to stay fit through daily exercise and healthy habits, like dancing under the stars and laughing with friends :)

Joe is a recovering "workaholic." Brooke almost always has a camera in hand. We love using our drone to see rural places from above and are happy to take photos for you, if the local regulations allow.
