A gap year student who's seeking adventure, human connection and rest along the way. I hugely value communities through travel - making meaningful conversations and learning about a place by immersing into and giving back to it- hence Workaway! I'm very open minded and wanting to grow from the people and places i stay with, also an artist at heart with a broad interest around art and music and happy to share my skills. I love the human connections that the arts can encourage and am always happy to share in some singing and learn from other creatives. I'm a deep and reflective thinker, and while open- minded I am passionate about justice and equity; always happy for a deep, theological or controversial discussion as long as we are both open to learn from each other. I am proud to be queer, in a queer relationship, and while that is only a small part of who I am I would not like to go somewhere where I'll feel unsafe or unwelcome due to that. I'm from a mixed race background and have travelled staying with family in Europe and Asia, and went to school in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and England. I am passionate about climate justice and interested in self sustainability. I grew up in the countryside and have a love for animals, huge appreciation for nature and thoroughly enjoy adventures in the great outdoors!

I've just finished studying A-levels and planning on uni. As mentioned, I have experience in art and music; I have grade 8 level in viola, singing and piano and while I have so much more to learn I am happy to share my skills. I love all things art and have greatly enjoyed everything from painting designs on my bedroom walls to creating a large tapestry. I have not many DIY or decorating skills, but am very happy to learn with any practical skill and a quick learner, especially with more creative aspects. I have always lived in the countryside and surrounded by farms, so while i might not be knowledgeable how to do something hands-on, i'm happy to chuck on some wellies and give it a go! I regularly helped at a family friend's farm with her 3 horses in my earlier teens, but would say I'm very far from experienced with horses, and have ridden few times. I have an adorable dog who is very energetic, and love spending time with dogs.

I attended a boarding school and was a prefect - which felt like a part time job! I have experience with children from being a housecaptain to a house of 45 girls, and from volunteering at both nurseries and primary schools for 3 years. I've leadership and group skills from a variety of music, sport, and discussion clubs which involved a communication and management. I also had the opportunity to help at more formal events and have quite a bit of experience with guests such as touring and more formal conversation. I quite enjoyed these events and am happy to work with others in a more formal setting. I have a little experience with charity work, helping to raise money for young minds mental health charity, and Ukraine relief efforts.

Overall, i have little experience with building, decorating and gardening, but I enjoy hands-on, outdoors work, and am eager to learn and try wherever help is needed!
