Hi there,
I moved to the lovely island of La Palma end of 2020 from Berlin, because I have a little daughter here.
As the volcano was breaking out on La Palma westside around the time, it did not seem to be good timing back then to move here, but luckily I managed to find a beautiful terrain on the eastside of the island. On this side it is easier to grow plants, because there is more rain/wind and it does not get as dry in summer.
The property has 3000m², 4 buildings and is terraced with many fruit trees: Avocado, Mango, Apple, Figs, Guava, Plums, a vineyard and many more... as well as some veg beets that need attention. A large part is removal of plants as things are growing fast here.
Please note, that I have a male cat and a dog that are quite territorial towards other pets. So if you would like to bring your pet, it needs to be one that is chill about this.
What I can offer is accommodation and food, depending the hours we agreed on and of course hopefully friendship if we work well together :)
Please, please do not contact me if you are just looking for something free here without genuinely putting in the work for it. Clear communication is the key.

The focus in 2024 is to create two more parking spaces, which will require strong arms and experience with concrete and stone work. In addition, there is a grown over part of my property that needs to be cleared, also needing quite a lot of energy to do that. Of course, there is a lot of gardening going on but I need experienced people that can work the garden and fruit trees as I wont be able to show you every step.
As it is a very remote place, a driving license isn't required but strongly recommended.

As I have only moved to this beautiful island about a year ago, I am learning many things about the plants here from friends that have been here longer. Depending on the time of the year, the tasks change a bit. In spring, there is a lot of clearing and planting in autumn a lot of harvesting. All in all a lot to do and a lot to learn.

What I am looking for are honest and decent people that are willing to assist me with the many daily tasks around the property. Times may very but about 4-5 hrs daily.

The next supermarket is quite far away, however there is a busstation close by and it is fairly easy to hitchhike. There is plenty to see on this island, especially when you are into hiking.
