I had really nice time in Ashram, food is amazing and people are very nice and kind. You can get a bike and go around, forest path is very nice to go or some lakes around. You also get a view what is ashram about, what life style they are living. here you can get a spiritual direction, that our life is to much about materialism and we should be more conected with our spiritual self. Recommend for people who did get lost from their life directions.

My 3 week experience with Louisa and Stuart on the farm was unforgettable. It’s such a beautiful part of France, I felt welcome from the minute I arrived - the food, the music and the conversation made it a relaxing and satisfying experience every single day. I enjoyed every task, from weeding the extensive gardens, planting vegetables, cooking some meals, even hanging out the washing was rewarding! And my work was always positively acknowledged. I was able to explore the beautiful nearby towns thanks to Louisa and Stuart’s kindness in driving me on my days off. I learnt so much about food and cooking and was privileged to help in the kitchen and with event catering. Such a wonderful and supportive team environment. I will carry lasting memories of my time here. Thank you so much Louisa and Stuart for your kindness, support and generosity. I hope to come back again.

I volunteered here for Season 1 this summer (about 2 weeks) , it was a great way to start the summer and gain a unique experience in Uzbekistan. The camp is very big, with hundreds of kids- but they are truly the best part of the experience!! The children are incredibly lovely, friendly, welcoming, respectful, helpful, and curious. It was really memorable to share a bit about myself with them and getting to know more about their own culture.
The hours at the camp were long, but the work was very simple and extremely enjoyable. There was no need to prepare lessons or activities, as our main role was to have conversations with the children and engage with them throughout the day.
In the mornings, we helped with English classes, which mostly involved chatting with the kids and playing a game or two with them. We switched classes frequently, so it was never boring. Each class was different, and every teacher had different expectations of the volunteers. Some wanted you to take over the entire lesson, while others preferred that you simply assist with their planned activities. Bc of this, it’s important to show up with a flexible mindset.
After the English classes, we attended the camp clubs. The clubs consisted of activities such as UNO Club, football, drawing club, and more, while continuing to interact with the children. This was one of my favorite parts of the day because there were so many fun games to play and we were completely open to choosing any club we wanted to participate in.
In the afternoon, there were a couple of hours of free time while the children rested. The camp is only a short walk from a beautiful lake where you can swim, take a scenic boat ride, or go jet skiing. In the evening, the children usually prepared for the nightly event, and we would walk around and help wherever needed. At night, there was a disco where everyone danced together. It was always fun to watch and participate in, and it usually ended around 10 p.m. Although the days could be quite long, they were genuinely enjoyable.
All meals were provided and the food was consistently tasty. Accommodation was in a shared dormitory with the other volunteers. There were occasionally some issues, such as temporary water or electricity outages, but nothing major.
Lastly, Abbos, the camp's recruiter, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire experience. From the beginning, he was very informative and always ready to assist with anything we needed. He picked us up upon arrival, regularly checked in on us during our stay, and always asked if we needed anything. It was reassuring to know that support was always available whenever we needed it.
Overall, I would completely recommend this opportunity to anyone who enjoys working with children and wants to experience Uzbek culture in a meaningful way. I truly hope to come back one day!

Mathis & Arthur are two very hard working guys. During their stay at the farm they worked diligently to water all the trees and plants by hauling heavy 20litres bottles of water all around and making sure every tree and plant got its daily dose of water. They also helped with cleaning up the area after some construction and were generally very helpful and active with anything that needed their attention at the farm. They worked well and make a great team!

I had 10 amazing days with Asha, Michael, and little Samara. I came here quite spontaneously through a friend’s recommendation, and I’m endlessly grateful for such a wonderful opportunity — especially for being their first Workawayer! The house is spacious, beautiful, and lovingly decorated. I got to help winterize the greenhouse, take care of the garden beds, tidy up and organize the basement, assist with daily kitchen tasks, do some babysitting, and spend valuable time with these lovely hosts. What an inspiring person Asha is! She lives with great awareness and a healthy lifestyle, full of creative ideas. It was truly an honor to meet her and her family. Thank you also for appreciating my cooking skills. Michael was always so grateful after coming home from work. I wish them all the best and many wonderful Workawayers to come. ❤️

What Qing Wei (Jan) lacked with previous animal experience, she quickly made up with an eagerness to learn and a desire to experience new things. And my other volunteers and I experienced new things as well – Jan was always highly entertaining and at times hilarious. Jan really was a lot of fun to have around. She made friendships easily and worked well in our team/family environment. But Jan was also serious about her tasks and was responsible and loving to our animals. Even through a period of illness during her stay, Jan soldiered on with her chores, with animal care, and she absolutely excelled in the kitchen to produce amazing group meals that became favourite dishes for many of the other volunteers, and myself. Jan was kind enough to source special Asian ingredients on her days off in Melbourne, and she did way more than her fair share of the cooking. I enjoyed Jan’s company (and meals!) and I look forward to her return one day.

Tarn and Rebecca were absolute gems! They came to help us with our new glamping association and we couldn't have asked for better volunteers. They were incredibly helpful, committed, friendly, and respectful throughout their stay. It was a real pleasure having them with us here in Nemi.
When they weren't helping out, they made the most of the area—exploring Nemi and Genzano, swimming in the lake, going on hikes, and relaxing in our garden enjoying the views. They are just perfect workawayers, and I highly recommend them to any host. Thank you both so much for everything, and I truly hope our paths cross again someday!

I spent 3.5 weeks with Jakk and had an amazing time! Everyday started by walking her dogs Dakota or Luna to the beach or my favorite Gunners Barracks where there is a great view of the harbor. While walking the dogs I was able to interact with many locals and build connections. Daily tasks included gardening, ironing, dishes, laundry, painting and organizing/cleaning certain places. There were 2 other WorkAwayers staying at the same time so it was nice that roles were shared and we shared stories along the way.
Jakk is a very knowledgeable women that makes you feel right at home. I enjoyed exploring different neighborhoods and walking along the nearby coastline. The house is in the perfect location, close to parks, cafes and easy access to the city. Jakk's home is extraordinary and I'm grateful to have gotten the opportunity to stay there. It was my last WorkAway in Australia and I’m glad to have ended it on such a good note! Thank you Jakk for your hospitality!

Koh Mak is a special island 🏝️ where you feel back to basics and in touch with nature. It is so different and quiet that sometimes it feels surreal… especially in low season you can expect to be the only one at the beach or riding the scooter on the jungle roads;)
The yoga shala is so beautiful and nested away in lush green overlooking the lil mountains and swimming pool. Birds and jungle sounds become your background to yoga classes. Students and community are so open and receptive. Kerstin and her stuff are kind and helpful. The dogs are a special pack of protectord love to come to yoga too! The whole island feels like a place in its own bubble. In spite of being small there are great activities to keep you interested: from all sports (open gym, tennis and paddle courts, community soccer, swimming, snorkeling, diving, free diving and of course yoga, Muay Thai…) there are also art stuff events like pottery making, clothes dying…. Plus so much to explore out in nature!
A place to experience for sure!
Greetings to everyone 🧘🏻♀️🏝️💖

We are very grateful for all Dobrinka's help and support at home. We very much enjoyed her presence and company and we are looking forward to welcoming her back soon.

The farm is in the hills with beautiful views of the Koʻolau Mountains, making it a great place for nature lovers.
Farm work is usually done by noon, leaving plenty of time to explore or relax. Since it often rains, waterproof shoes are recommended because the ground can get muddy.
Thanks to David for providing the gym on the property. I was able to focus on my morning exercise routine and also spend time there on rainy days.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and the chance to experience farm life in such a beautiful setting.

Tommaso stayed with us and was a great addition to our Workaway team.
He has a very positive attitude, is easy to work with, and always approached tasks with enthusiasm and dedication. He is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in doing a good job.
During his stay, he worked extensively on the development of a new hiking and mountain bike trail. A significant part of his work involved building boardwalks across wet and muddy sections, helping to improve accessibility and create a better experience for visitors. He was highly dedicated to the project, worked carefully, and consistently looked for ways to improve the final result.
Tommaso also tested the entire trail by mountain bike on several occasions. He deliberately rode the route during wet weather and challenging conditions to identify problem areas and provide valuable feedback. This practical testing helped us improve the trail and make it more enjoyable and sustainable for future visitors.
Tommaso got along very well with the other Workawayers and contributed to a positive and friendly atmosphere within the group. He was always willing to help, take part in activities, and support others when needed.
One of Tommaso's special talents is photography. He has a keen eye for capturing outdoor experiences, landscapes, and people. During his stay, he joined us on a Via Ferrata adventure and documented the experience with excellent photos. The images he produced will be valuable for promoting both the trail projects and the beautiful surroundings of our area.
Tommaso is dependable, motivated, and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend him to future hosts looking for a volunteer with a strong work ethic, a positive mindset, and a willingness to contribute to community projects.

Emilie is friendly, thoughtful, and kind.
During her stay, we shared many wonderful experiences and created lots of great memories together.
Since she is very skilled at knitting, we attended a local knitting community gathering together. We also enjoyed meals at Japanese restaurants, took a trip to Osaka to browse secondhand clothing stores (she absolutely loves Second Street! 😄), visited a karaoke bar, processed and cooked a chicken together, and enjoyed hand-rolled sushi and an unagi party. There were so many events and activities packed into her stay that the time flew by, yet at the same time every day felt rich and memorable.
She also helped us with farm work, house cleaning, and painting benches. She decorated the benches with some incredibly cute illustrations, which have added a lot of character and charm to our place.
One thing we especially appreciated was her initiative. She was always willing to take responsibility and move tasks forward on her own, which made it very easy for us to trust her with projects. Her thoughtfulness, reliability, and strong work ethic were truly appreciated.
Although her stay was relatively short, we shared so many enjoyable moments together and made countless wonderful memories.
We are already looking forward to the day we meet again. Hopefully next time we'll be the ones visiting your side of the world!
Thank you so much for everything. We wish you all the best on your future adventures! 😊❤️

Mitch and I stayed for just under three weeks, dog sitting wee Cujo! It was such a treat to spend that time in Crawford Bay and explore the beautiful area. We took Cujo for lots of walks and tended to the sprouting veggies so it was very easy, chill work! Cujo is a sweet pup with a quirky personality - we loved that his favourite game was chasing rocks!
Even though we only saw Mateja and Adam at the start and end of our time there, we felt like they were super easy to get along with and would be great workaway hosts. We had great communication with them the whole time and had no complaints at all!
