I had a great time in this lovely little village with Karina and Volker. I helped in the garden and created a coverdesign for their workaway guest book. Meals were delicious and I stayed in a beautiful quiet room under the roof. I had plenty of time for myself where I got some personal work done and took a few trips in the area, for example to the Baltic Sea. I enjoyed watching the birds and I hope the sunflowers I planted will grow tall and strong. Thank you Karina and Volker for having me!

Our family (with two small kids) volunteered here for 2 weeks and it was a for sure a learningful experience. We helped with electrical work, beautifying the place, some odd jobs, cooking, cleaning and playing with Enki. It’s a gorgeous land, incredibly peaceful and great for kids. The community was definitely going through a transitional phase when we were there. This had its impact on the general energy of the place as well as the management of the work, but it gradually improved and the work became more and more organized by the end of our stay. As you can read in reviews from other workawayers, this place is indeed not waiting for you. You have to find out quite a bit by yourself, see the work where it has to be done, take initiative and have energy to bring to the place. It’s important for you to know whether you are this type of person. For us, this fits us very well so we had a great time. But what was really inspiring for us was the way the feedback and criticism were handled. Michi, Bas & Nic created space to address whatever issues you’d have, whether it was work-related, regarding the community atmosphere or personal issues. Changes were often made immediately. For us the essence of a good community is not necessarily that everything works well (yet) but rather the willingness to receive feedback and to improve. So this was a very inspiring experience for us.

Nadine and Stefan's timing could not have been more perfect. They arrived while I was away to house and pet sit and when I returned I was not in a good way due to a back injury. I couldn't do much at all. Nadine and Stefan stepped up to the challenge and it was no big deal to them. I was so appreciative they were here when they were. They were both great with the animals, and took on the run of the place while I went to work. They cooked many delicious meals and completed some tasks that were just beyond me due to other commitments or sickness. Nadine worked tirelessly collecting or harvesting and preparing feijoas and artichokes, and prepared a new garden bed. Stefan got the water system improved and just got shit done that had been waiting for the right person for the job. He was it! I am so happy to have met them. We shared our interests, experiences and hopes for the future over nutritious meals prepared lovingly and my children loved playing 'Go fish' and 'Connect 4' with you both. Thanks so much for everything you did to help around here. It made a huge difference.

It was truly a pleasure to host Momoe at our home for two weeks. She was our first workawayer from Asia, so it was extremely interesting for us (and we hope for her too) to see and talk about all the cultural differences between us. We learned a lot from her about Japanese culture, customs and work ethic and we hope we managed to show her some aspects of our mixed Swedish-Hungarian way of living. She clicked with our 3-year-old son immediately, she was very attentive and patient with him and she was always ready to run around the garden with him and join whatever game our son came up with. Thank you for that! She has also witnessed some very special family moments when my parents arrived to visit us during her stay. She celebrated mother's day with us this year and surprised me with a beautiful card on the occasion. Momoe was also an extremely hard working and thorough help in our garden and home, we hardly saw her sitting down! During her stay we left the house for a few nights and she took care of everything while we were away, which was again a great help for us. She is welcome back any time!

Meesha and Harvist spent 2 weeks with us and got more done than we could have imagined. Our pigs will be very happy with their pool and our driveway looks professionally done and is finally finished. Apart from their excellent work-skills and -attitude, they were very easy and lovely to host. We did laugh a lot and enjoyed our meals together. Would recommend them to everybody! Chiajen does not have gandenning skill and he learns slowly (but I think he may work well with computer or another task). He tried to adapt with new things.

I've spend about a month here and I can just say it was a wonderful experience!!:) The people I've met, including the owner Anh Hao and the workers, are so kind people and help you with whatever struggles or questions you have concerning the work! It's a lot of physical work and of course it can get exhausting to work in the heat but at the end of the day, you think about everything you've accomplished and I can tell, It's a great feeling to see your progress:)) Altough you work mostly 6 instead of 5 hours, It's still worth it and worth the experience!!

We had a wonderful stay at Alex and Dan’s place in the middle of the bush. We stayed for about 10 days and enjoyed living close to nature. Their house is beautiful, and we spent a lot of time just watching the wallabies and other wildlife. The work was very flexible, so we could work at our own rhythm with the weeding, which was quite fun as you could really see the progress. Everyone took great care of us and made sure we had plenty of time to explore the area. We had delicious meals throughout our stay, with the pizzas from the pizza oven and the homemade buffalo sausage being definite highlights. Another highlight was climbing up the windmill for sunrise and experiencing the full moon bonfire. We’re very grateful for the experience and had a fantastic time

I stayed with Gabi for only one week, and reached out last minute. she was happy to receive me on the farm and picked me up from the station. I was able to borrow one of the bikes to go for bike rides, and the train station is within biking distance, though I only used the bike once to go and visit with the neighbors. Most of the work for me this week was feeding the animals and splitting and stacking wood to heat the house in the winter. I worked independently and also with Gabi and Gairnut. When Gabi is not working, you can expect to do work together. I found it to be the perfect mix of independent work and co-working. We ate meals together, Gabi and her daughter brought me on a hike and were happy to do an easier hike for me - Gabi truly wants and works for cultural exchange and getting to know her workawayers. I felt like part of the family while I stayed. the house is super cozy, the location very quiet, the goats and the cat are lovely. Gabi also taught me how to make cheese and was happy to share how things were done whenever I was interested. she even sent me with a gift of fresh goat cheese and yoghurt when I left. additionally, the neighbors are all very kind and often stop by for a visit, including a tea or a cake. they enjoy visiting with workawayers as well and two of the neighbors invited me to their home after we worked together to make me lunch. Gabi and Gairnut are both such genuinely kind people, and I am so glad that I stumbled upon them. I hope that I can return to the farm someday soon. thanks for everything!

Alessandro is a great guy, he is a hard worker, who will give every task his best, easy to get along with he gets on well with all, he joined in with all activities, he made a possitive contribution in all areas and we can recomend him to any host

I had such a wonderful time staying with Miguel and Ines. From the very first day, they made me feel welcome and included. They are such a sweet, kind and caring couple, always ready to help whenever I needed anything. This experience honestly didn’t feel like a typical Workaway. It felt more like visiting friends. The tasks were easy, enjoyable and never overwhelming. I genuinely looked forward to helping out each day. One of my favourite parts of my stay was how they included me in their social life. When their friends came over, they invited me to join them for dinner and spend time together. Their friends were incredibly cool and welcoming, and I loved getting to know everyone. It made me feel like part of the group rather than just a volunteer. The accommodation was amazing. The little house they provide for volunteers is beautiful, modern and extremely comfortable. It honestly felt like staying in a luxury house. It has its own private bathroom, everything is newly furnished, and it somehow stays warm when it’s cold outside and pleasantly cool during hot days. The surroundings are peaceful and perfect if you enjoy slow living. There are markets, a bakery, bars and everything you might need nearby. If you want to go to the city centre, an Uber is easy and surprisingly affordable. I never felt bored. In fact, it felt like a little detox retreat surrounded by nature. The area is also wonderful for walking and exercising. I went running almost every evening, and in the mornings I loved taking my coffee down to the river and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. I already miss the animals so much. I became attached to the goats and chickens, and spending time with them brought me so much joy. Thank you again, Miguel and Ines, for your kindness, generosity and hospitality. You created such a warm and welcoming environment, and I will always remember my time here fondly. If I ever have the chance, I would absolutely return for a longer stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, authentic and heartwarming Workaway experience.

Flo and Pablo are lovely, making a positive contribution in all areas, in the work and in the home, give them a task they will get it done, carefull and considerate, they joined in all activities and goet on well with everybody, we can recomend them to any host

Emmy was a very nice host, I learned a lot about gardening from the Dutch style house building, I felt very comfortable during my stay here

She committed to arriving today, June 12, but has now informed us that she found another job and will not be coming. She told us that she could not notify us earlier because she lost our phone number. However, our profile is available on Workaway, where she could have contacted us. In our opinion, she is not a reliable person.

John is skilled in many areas is able to work unsupervised and lead a team, he made a positive contribution in all areas, got on well with all and joined in with all the activities, we can recomend hiom to any host

Thank you Csabi/Rad for all your help! Rad is a very enthousiastic Workawayer that wants to help with everything and he can build you a real Yurt! or a yurt greenhouse for your garden, there are many years of doing this in his life. Rad is working on his English and has improved greatly while here but sometimes there were misunderstandings. We solved that by making sure he understood or repeated what was asked. Rad helped here clearing the garden, moving trees, preparing firewood and also with cooking super quick meals; his speciality as a former restaurant owner in Hungary. Good luck Csabi!

Dylan helped us a lot in our 10 days together. He accomplished everything we asked to him, in a joyful and energic way... We are very grateful for the time he spent with us. He is a good companion and an exceptional guy, we highly recommend him. Thank you Dylan and good luck for your protects! Hope to see you soon in Italy.

Recomiendo mucho este lugar, Marcelo es una persona de quien siempre tendras algo que aprender. Es un lugar bastante tranquilo y agradable. Si te gusta la naturaleza y disfrutar de las mejores puestas de sol, es el lugar ideal.
