She stayed with us one and half week but she was so cool and kind. She is someone who makes you feel that the world need smile always so that peace can be in existence. Valy is a girl of vibes and you cant get tired of her, she is good to fit in the society because love is always on her face. Thank you for your Greta time Valy and for passing in our community we know the time was not enough but we got an opportunity to share a moment with you.

Elska stayed with us for 3 months and it was a great opportunity to host her in our family and at our organization. She supported a lot of different activities we did under our organization and she brought a big change and happiness to our children and the community. She was so respectful for everything and was loved not only people but also the animals and all the beautiful creatures in KIGUNGU because of her kind soul she brought in KIGUNGU. when you meet Elska you cant be bored and you cant get tired of her coz she is a young girl who doesnt care about our others they look like and she is very positive in everything. All in all Elska has a lot of History in our organization and the entire community coz she left our hearts melting not because she broke them its because of the love she brought and memories we shared ..... Eliska on behalf of the organization and community allow me to say thank you for EVERYTHING you DID for US we will always be missing you and always doors are open for anytime you can come again to spend some time with us. We will always be missing you an you cant get out of our minds but thats life always they seperate us with our loved one, we wish you success in your future journey. BIG LOVE FROM OUR ORGANIZATION.

We stayed with Pieter and Sally for 3 weeks and enjoyed every day of it! They are very well organized, the working hours are fixed (so you don't work in the heat and can plan the rest of your day reliably) and the tasks are easy to understand, well explained with clear expectations, but also enough space for how you go through with them. Sally is a really great cook and the farm work is a good reminder of how much work actually is put into all the veggies and fruits of our every day life. The facilities are basic but were set up very mindfully with absolutely everything you need and lots of private space. Bonus: Darts, Pool, Table Tennis and a Dam to swim in during your free time. Both Pieter and Sally really cared about our wellbeing and showed genuine appreciation for our help! Thanks for having us!

Wonderful experience in Arambol, Goa! I stayed here three weeks back in November 2025 and it was amazing! Lalit, the host, is very helpful and friendly. On day one, Lalit showed me around, and with the help of the other two volunteers, showed me the ropes of operating the machinery and doing the warm up/ training sessions. The work is pretty straight forward and entertaining and you get to connect with a lot of different kinds of people. Arambol town is awesome and if you're in India, a must visit for the vibe alone. When not working, you're free to do as you please. Didi's food was delicious! The only downside to my stay was the accommodation. I had a hut with bathroom right next to the Wakepark and the view and proximity to work were ideal. However, the hut was not at all insulated or closed off (rats having chewd through the mosquito netting and the bamboo matt walls). The rats were also a problem in the bathroom (for some reason they loved eating and stealing my bar soaps). If this issue was fixed, I could've stayed a lot longer. Worth it for the experience though! lol

Maxime’s Workaway stay has to be one of the best exchange experiences I have had at my little place in The Far South of Tasmania. What an absolute delight it has been to host this impressive young man who worked with vigour, dedication, diligence and strength. All with an easy nature and pleasing attitude. I was amazed at how quickly and thoroughly he took on learning new tasks and there is no questioning his work ethic. What I also loved is Maxime tackled his leisure time with as much gusto and did not hesitate to say yes to opportunities to try kayaking, go hiking and explore the environs. He even took on some extra work on his days off. Maxime is a very admirable person and will be missed after a one month stint here taking on a variety of projects. I couldn’t be happier and would gladly host Maxime any time! I think that is one of the best recommendations. Maxime you are most welcome here and enjoy this journey of discovery you are on.

I think this is a good, very special workaway that takes a unique spot in the range of workaway experiences. The laughing is no joke - serious humor is exercised at all times. Especially by Jean, who always managed to put a smile on my lips. Thank you Marie for the abundant generosity you showed in taking care of my needs. I admired the freedom in which I could choose my works and I think it's unique how you offer the space for people to be inspired. I also think it's fascinating how open-minded you are in receiving people in your house and family. There was almost no border between us and I felt completely a part of the family. I liked many of your friends, who were very friendly and made me feel very welcomed. I think you have amazing kids (and animals of course....) and I had a great time with them. I appreciate your flexibility on my arrival time and departure. I really liked when you took me sleighing. I am grateful for having had the oppurtunity to learn renovation skills with Florian. There were also more challenging aspects: With Jean being sick and not able to answer work-related questions and Marie being quite overburdened, I felt it was often quite hard to communicate sometimes essential things. I found it sometimes challenging to have a lack of structure, tools and input. On that note, I also found it sometimes challenging to contribute to a project that will end up being sold. It's nothing major, but there were some instances where I felt slightly uncomfortable around Jean (better communication would have resolved this) I am grateful for my time with you and wish you all the best! David and Patti stayed with us for a month and were a joy to have around. They're were happy to take on projects and organise their own time without any supervision, but they always asked if they weren't sure of something. They worked really hard here and got more done than I asked for - if they saw something that needed doing they were happy to tell me and then get on with it. Meals and time spent together were fascinating - we had so many interesting conversations, always covering a huge number of topics, and involving a lot of laughter. If the two of them show an interest in helping you, I highly recommend you say yes quickly!

I had a really great time at Rainer's place. The village where he leaves is incredible, surrounded by mountains ! The hikes around the village are gorgeous ! I felt really welcome at his new place and I was really happy to help him painting his walls for few days. His cats helped as well but on the floor haha He also taught be a lot about the writing process which I am very thankful for !! All the village is really kind, they like to play music together. This is definitly a special place. Thank you so much Rainer for everything, it was a special time at your place !

Ebba is a wonderful person and workawayer. Her attitude and willing to help was remarkable. She helped us out restoring some old furniture, planting trees and chopping wood. Moreover, she made us some delicious food and collaborated with households. Tigris liked her and become good friends despite her character🐈😅 Overall we really enjoyed her stay and was a real pleasure having you around. That was a lovely experience. I had learned many new thing for myself and visited an unique farm with adorable animals and stunning landscapes. There was a lot of work to do, so it is something to be prepared for, but with great host and self independence it is not a problem ^_^

We spend almost 2 weeks here and we had a great time. Karen and Tom where really nice with the work, we were independent, and we could manage how/when to do it as the weather was getting really hot and heavy. The work it self was mainly gardening, cutting mangoes, running away from the green ants, cooking dinner and housekeeping in the Air Bnb. There were really helpful with our accomodation situation. Thank you again! Hayden is lovely, a good singer and the discovery of Keylime pie was amazing! Thank you Tom, Karen and Hayden !!!

Ruben is a positive and relaxed person who is also very hard working and skilled. He was so nice to have around especially with the kids. He has good attention to detail, respected house rules and was so kind and nice all the time. We loved hosting him a lot and really hope he comes back soon!

Carson is a beaming light of positivity and good vibes. His laugh is infectious, his chats are the best and we loved having him at home. He's very respectful of house rules, lots of fun with the kids and a really hard worker. He used his math skills to help us with some tough calculations which was awesome. He is willing to learn and a good attention to detail. we loved hosting him and were super sad to see him go!

My daughter and I had the opportunity to care for Sara's animals while she and her family were away for a weekend. Sara has a lovely home and we were treated with kindness and respect at all times. There is even has a lovely guest room with a big, comfortable bed for the workawayers. The animals were all really lovely, especially the horses, who I miss. They have a special presence and are very cuddly (which is not always the case). There is a nice walk through the woods to take with the horses, which my daughter loved--like walking dogs...The town of Hitzacker is a short bike ride away, which is really convenient because you can grab what you need and feel independent. Thanks for having us, Sara. I hope your new kitchen is almost done :)

Mingzhao far exceeds a five-star rating. From the very beginning, he demonstrated exceptional diligence, reliability, and professionalism. He followed the agreed schedule and was always punctual, showing a strong sense of responsibility and respect for my time and plans. He provided invaluable academic support, including editing document files and assisting with video editing for an academic journal. He approached every task with clarity, organization, and genuine commitment. Beyond that, he also helped with pencil drawing for my personal projects, where his concentration and dedication were clearly evident. Whatever task he took on, he consistently gave his best effort. As this was his first time in Malaysia, Mingzhao was wonderfully open-minded and curious. He was happy to try every food presented to him, which made it an absolute joy to take him out to eat. His willingness to experience local cuisine made sharing our culture feel easy and meaningful. We spent a beautiful day together on the Penang mainland, visiting a church and sitting outdoors to sketch the building. My friend and I also had the opportunity to bring him to a local carnival with my friend, where we had so much fun together and genuinely enjoyed introducing him to this lively part of local culture. Showing him local sights and the everyday way of life in Penang was a pleasure, and every moment felt well spent. The time spent together was crative, meaningful and well appreciated. His stay concluded with a gesture that spoke volumes about his integrity and kindness. Before leaving, Mingzhao surprised me by thoroughly cleaning and tidying the home, something I did not expect at all, as he had already fulfilled all his responsibilities. His thoughtful actions left behind a home that felt calm, peaceful, and lovingly cared for. Hosting Mingzhao was a privilege. He arrived as a volunteer and left as a sincere and genuine friend. Any host would be incredibly fortunate to welcome him into their home. I wholeheartedly recommend him without hesitation and would gladly host him again in the future.

I stayed with Hanna for three weeks helping around the house, garden and allotment space. I felt at home right away, arriving as dinner was being served and being immediately welcomed around the table before being given a guided tour by Hanna’s three adorable daughters. We often played games and went to different beaches on Crete to swim in the sea together. Hanna is easygoing and was always up for interesting conversations and a laugh. While she had an idea of what she needed me to do during my stay, there was also a lot of freedom for me to do my own things to the house/garden if I thought it should be done. It has been a few months since I left her family home in the Cretan hills but I still think of the memories often and fondly and without a doubt if I return to Crete I will visit her again.

Thank you for the very warm welcome. We immediately felt at ease with Fabrice and Amandine, as well as with the kids. We are very happy to have been able to help you during these 10 days. Our days were filled with teaching the children, going on walks (the boat was in port at that time), doing all kinds of activities, and cooking. Life on a boat may seem tight, but we had our own cabin, which gave us some time to rest and have some privacy, and everyone quickly found their place. The children are full of energy and very enthusiastic, and it is rewarding and motivating to look after them. There is no time to get bored ! En espérant vous retrouver sur notre chemin ! Mick is great fun and has lots of knowledge to share, with a true passion for sustainable bush living. He showed us all the best beaches and spots in the local area, his three brother dogs are a bonus to have around, fun round the fire sharing beers and listening to tunes. A rental car to get around is helpful to see local beaches etc in your free time. Thanks Mick!

I spent three weeks on Andros looking after the dogs at the shelter. It was a lovely experience to get to know them and their different personalities while we enjoyed walks along the beach or through the town or cuddles back at the shelter. Athena and Angela couldn’t have been more helpful during my time on their lovely island. They were always available to help or answer questions I had and made an effort to keep me updated about the events going on around the town (especially as it was Christmas time). Thank you both so much for making me feel so welcome. If you love dogs and want to experience a quieter side of Greek life then you should really give Andros a try. Once you meet all the gorgeous pups you will know you made the right decision. I have been missing them since I left and hope to see them again one day 🐾

I had a really nice stay with Fleur, Jojo and Ana. They are such lovely people and I always felt understood and comfortable. Although they had a a lot on their mind because of certain circumstances they still always made up time for me and looked out that I had everything that I needed. They took me on fun trips to the city and I was able to experience Jewish traditions such as Hanukkah which I am very grateful for. Because of that I was able to take some different perspectives on things with me and also always had interesting talks with everyone. I also had so much fun with their kids. They are very emotional smart and polite children. The work was really light and it basically felt like a nice family hangout because they will make you feel at home. I am really glad I was able to support them and I will drop by whenever I can because with these people you can create friendships for life. Thank you so much for everything 🫶
