Gwenn and her family are such wonderful people and I'm really glad I met them. Not only will you experience real women power with them, especially Gwenn herself, but also true hospitality. From the very first day I felt like part of their family and Gwenn was extremely grateful for everything I could help her with. Originally I had planned to stay three weeks but then decided to go see some more of Canada as I didn't have too much time here and they totally encouraged me in that. So I left my stuff for with them for two weeks and came back for my last day to meet up again. I found family in you far away from my own and will totally step by when I'm coming back to Canada one day!

I was again very fortunate to have chosen an excellent Workaway. Everything was perfect: location, host, work, food, personal time, accommodation...The host Didi is one if the kindest and most caring human being I have ever met.
Work was reasonable and not very hard, most of it in the garden and property grounds, weed-wacking. Didi made sure there was plenty of refreshing liquids and snacks.
There are plenty of trails in the nearby state park; the location is very scenic, and lots of wildlife around. Plenty of solitude, opportunity to meditate/do yoga/chill... there are a few quaint towns nearby and Didi gave me a ride whenever i wanted one. She also was knowledgeable about local place of interests and trails.
Wifi is adequate and the quietness and calm around is very soothing. 100% recommended

Had so much fun hosting Max and Marelie! They have great agricultural sense and picked up right away on the coffee harvesting processes making our lives much easier as we headed into the high season. Super good sense of humors that made workdays fun and we were able to easily connect with them on many intellectual levels. Flexible and never complained about anything. Great people all around and highly recommend for your project!

Staying with Frank at his permaculture project was one of the most special parts of my trip through South America. The project is absolutely beautiful to live in and be apart of. The plants, animals, nature, and most of all the people make the experience unforgettable! Special mention to Franks amazing family as well, they are all extremely welcoming and a lovely addition to my month at Franks project. Frank has put a ton of time and care into the space & has an incredible amount of knowledge about plants, permaculture, and the land itself, and he is very patient and generous in sharing that knowledge as well. Beyond the work itself, we shared countless fun, memorable experiences, laughter, deep conversations, and genuine moments together. Definitely a month that will stay with me forever! Thank you Frank, for your kindness, patience, and care, and for giving me an adventure I’ll always remember.

It's hard to believe how quickly these 10 days with Shion and Elliot went by.
They were great helpers and a pleasure to have around. During their stay they helped with weeding, water blasting, indoor and outdoor painting, tidying the laundry, and even sewing a new bed for our dog Pinot.
They were always cheerful, willing to help, and happy to take on a variety of tasks. Elliot also treated us to a delicious apple and rhubarb crumble.
They worked well, followed instructions, and were easy to live with. We appreciated all their help and would happily recommend them to other hosts.
Thank you both, hope to see you again and all the best for your travels.

My time here was one of the most transformative experiences of my trip, and I honestly could have stayed another four months.
Before arriving, I was interested in permaculture, but my time here inspired me to pursue it on a much deeper level. Diego is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply involved in the project and an inspiring person to learn from.
Siljie was also a wonderful teacher and yoga instructor. She brought a thoughtful and grounding energy to the project, and she and Diego create an environment that is welcoming, fun, and genuinely community-oriented.
The land itself is absolutely beautiful—lush, scenic, and full of life. I learned so much during my stay, from building mud homes and working in gardens to gaining a deeper understanding of regenerative living. There was something incredibly healing about the experience; coming from the city, it truly felt like jungle therapy.
A special shoutout to their lovely darling cat Yuca, my personal guardian angel, as well as Romer, the amazing neighbor and local jungle expert who is always a wonderful guide in the projects.
More than anything, this place set the tone for the rest of my travels. I left feeling inspired, energized, and with a much clearer vision of the kind of life and work I want to pursue in the future. Thank you to Diego, Siljie, and everyone involved for creating such a special place. It was an unforgettable experience, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone interested in permaculture, community living, and connecting more deeply with nature and yourself.

I had a really good time at Ider’s camp at Khuvsgul lake.I adored being out in nature. Honestly, experiencing that total feeling of freedom just seeing the yaks and horses running around freely, and hiking up the mountains and stuff like that was unforgettable.
It was snowing every night at first, (and the heating was complicated at first) so the first days we were just taking it easy. We kept busy doing basic house chores like cleaning and stuff, and building up the booking.com page. We were planning to build the yurts as soon as it got sunny, and once the sun finally came out, I got to live out my creativity and paint a forest landscape over a trailer, which I really enjoyed! :>
The camp had a very cozy atmosphere. I loved the nights we all spent together as a group with Ider and the other volunteers, playing cards, sitting by the fire, and talking a lot about different cultures. We played games and drank together (although I drank soda instead of alcohol lol). Ider is super down to earth, friendly, and helpful. He really liked spending time with us and I enjoyed hanging out with him too.
It was also so sweet how the neighbors' dogs visited us every day.
I already miss the time at the camp so much. I'm really curious about the development of the camp, with more volunteers, tourism, and how it’s going to look in the summer.
Also, I found two bracelets in the garden that I thought were so beautiful. I got to keep them, and every time I look at them now, I get reminded of my time in mongolia.♡
Ider, thank you for everything dear friend. You are more than welcome to visit me in Europe anytime! I really hope I'll be back at the camp one day. You are an amazing person and I'm glad I met you and the camp.. Wish I could've stayed longer. ;))

I got to know two very nice and sweet people in the person of Alison and Mark. My room was big and comfortable, the house was close to the center. The work was mostly in the kitchen, but when the weather was better, I was weeding and watering in the garden. The dog and the two cats brightened up my everyday life. A golden family, a real animal farm family. Lots of hugs from afar. Ágnes

I completely agree with Dafydd and Hanna’s reviews! Roz's cooking was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented—every single meal made me so happy. Also, Roslyn's house was honestly the cleanest home I have ever seen in my life. My own standard of "clean" was clearly lower than hers, so learning her routine to keep the house so spotless was super helpful.
As for the work, she gave me a to-do list and left the method and timing completely up to me, which is exactly how I love to work. I truly appreciated it. And Xavier and Karma were such lovely dogs.
Though it was a short stay of just one week, thanks to her, it was the perfect refresh. I really hope the camera we installed works out well!

We miss Hanna already! Once she got settled in, her smile just lit up the room, and she was such a hard worker. She was always happy to do whatever we needed and she did a fantastic job of digging out some deep-rooted weeds. We had to start calling her the goat-whisperer because of how much our babies adored her. We are so grateful that Hanna came to stay with us, and that she was able to help us so much. Good luck with the job Hanna! You are welcome to come and visit us any time, we would love to see you even if it's just a visit and not for work.

Gabriela carried out all assigned tasks with great care and attention to detail. Her work was consistently of a high standard, and we appreciated the seriousness and responsibility she brought to her daily tasks.
However, from very early on, we felt there was a mismatch in expectations regarding the Workaway experience. After a discussion during her first days, we even offered her the possibility of finding another host if she felt our project was not the right fit for her. She chose to stay for the full month, as originally planned.
Throughout her stay, communication remained quite limited. Gabriela was very independent and generally kept to herself. She rarely interacted with us or with the friends and community members who are often part of life at our home. She would frequently come and go during her free time without much communication, and at the end of her stay she left without saying goodbye in person.
There was never any conflict, and we always maintained a respectful relationship. Nevertheless, we found it difficult to build a connection or establish the level of communication and cultural exchange that we usually value in a Workaway experience.
In more than five years of hosting Workawayers, this was the first time we experienced such a distant dynamic. That does not mean Gabriela is not a good volunteer; rather, we simply did not seem to be a good match for one another.
We wish her all the best in her future travels and projects.

Coming to Mark’s ranch for my first workaway was truly the one of the best decisions I have ever made. I couldn’t have asked for a better first property and first host - Mark is so much fun, has pretty good taste in music and design, and makes a mean burrito. He also very generously accommodated me in the Marriott-adjacent shed when I decided to stay a month longer than planned.
Work was very manageable and consisted of weeding, planting, cleaning, light construction, and shoveling dirt. Every day, I got to see tangible results on how my work contributed to making the property beautiful. Another big pro here is having access to a car. It’s such a privilege to be able to explore the island freely. There is so much to do and see I really can’t even begin to describe it.
All in all, I met the most amazing people here and had a life-changing experience that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. I miss it every day and hope to return again soon. If you have good intentions and you’re thinking about staying here, don’t hesitate to reach out!

This was my first Workaway experience, & to say it was the best would be an absolute understatement! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed into the family with open arms. I helped with the girls a few days a week & helped with different projects around the house. I had ample free time to explore, which was so nice. The girls were so much fun to hangout with! They taught me quite a lot, including aerial ropes & drawing. There was never a dull moment! Avril and Alex were so kind and down to earth. They also helped me in so many ways and are very thoughtful. The whole family is a joy to be around. I was there for 3 months, & I CANNOT wait to go back! They have easily become like family to me, & I feel so grateful for that. If you are lucky enough to get to do Workaway with them, you are in for a treat!! There aren’t enough words to say what this experience has truly meant to me

I spent a month here and had a great time. Luka and the whole team were really friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome from day one. I learned a lot, met some amazing people, and can now say I assisted in the building of a beautiful aquapark. I highly recommend the experience especially if you're a fan of watersports.
