I've stayed 7 days here, that seemed short if I analyse by the will I had to stay longer but if I take by the amount of things accomplished and connections made it looked like a long and solid experience! I'm really happy to have met the people I met and for the things I learned. The environment is really free from and for both sides (workawayer and host) to express feelings, make mistakes and express points of view and ideas. Food was delicious as each day someone took the effort to please the others with great vegeterian meals cooked with great ingredients provided by the hosts. Big thank you ! Congrats for the determination and courage on this entrepreneurship and long life to this place!

Stella et Satya ont été d'excellents voyageurs comme nous les aimons ! Ils forment tous les 2 un vrai binôme à la vie comme en cuisine ! Toujours souriants, respectueux des autres, curieux et plein d'énergie pour faire avancer les choses ! Seul bémol, nous n'avons pas réussi à les adopter ! Au plaisir de se recroiser en France ou dans d'autres bouts du monde !

I've had the most wonderful experience spending time with Julia, Don, and Kairos. I stayed with them for about 3 weeks, and it has genuinely been the most valuable experience of my 3-month trip through Peru. I spent my mornings with Kairos, a very curious and energetic boy with a kind heart. He also has very big emotions, which you'll have to learn to handle the right way. He loves to play and learn, and overall, he's very sweet, loving, and innocent. I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of his life for this short time, and hopefully I brought a (lasting) positive influence :) In the afternoon, I was free to do whatever I wanted, and the majority of the time I would choose to spend time with the family (they're super fun to hang out and spend time with). We would go to Tarapoto, play games, go swimming, or do any other activity that came up. During the weekend, I also had the ability to choose to do my own thing, or I could join them in their jungle cabin. I chose to join them on the weekends, obviously ;) which I very much enjoyed. The jungle is magical and healing, and I loved hanging out at the cabin, going down to the river, exploring, and having meaningful conversations. Julia and Don are both very kind, open, and honest people with good hearts. I felt truly and completely safe and cared for, and I could tell they only had good intentions. In the time I stayed with them, we really connected and became close, and they've become very special to me. Words cannot describe the value they have brought into my life. They are full of wisdom and light, and they've provided me with the most incredible experiences and life teachings, which I didn't even know I needed until life brought us together. I definitely recommend staying with them, and when you do, open yourself up to new experiences, join them in whatever activity, and make the most of your time there. I have learned so much in these weeks, had the most incredible eye opening experiences, and gained a new perspective on life. Thank you guys so much!!

Thank you Raphi & Nick for those two wonderful weeks!! Yamba and surroundings is beautiful. My personal highlight was definitely Raphi’s world-class AUSTRIAN cooking - felt like home :) The guest room was nice and spacious. My work was mostly helping in the garden and around the house - with a very flexible schedule!! The boys and Marlee are fun to hang out with - there is never a dull moment haha!! Also, Raphi took me to farmer’s markets and the Ashby solstice party - which I really enjoyed!! Thank you and hopefully we’ll see each other again - maybe in Vienna!!

Karina was a wonderful volunteer and a truly positive presence at this hostel. She was kind, responsible, and always willing to help wherever needed. Her friendly personality made it easy for guests and team members to feel comfortable around her. Throughout her stay, she showed commitment, a great attitude, and genuine care for the hostel community. We really enjoyed having her with us and appreciated everything she contributed during her time here. We are grateful for the opportunity to host Karina and would happily recommend her to any future host. We wish her all the best in her future travels and adventures.

Elena was a pleasure to host at our hostel. She was friendly, responsible, and always willing to contribute wherever help was needed. She worked well with both guests and the team, bringing a positive attitude and helping create a welcoming environment. We appreciated her time with us and the energy she brought to the hostel. Lucile stayed with me for one week in May. She was great company - very kind with a great sense of fun. She is very knowledgeable about plants, experienced with garden work, and has great initiative. I am very thankful for all the work she did here. She's a great cook too! I would love to welcome Lucile back here anytime. She's a gem.

Anastasia was a wonderful volunteer and a great person to have around. From the beginning she showed a positive attitude, was reliable, and always willing to help when needed. She worked well with guests and the team, helping create the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that is so important in a hostel. She was respectful, easy to communicate with, and adapted quickly to daily tasks. Guests enjoyed interacting with her, and her presence contributed positively to the overall experience at the hostel. Beyond the work itself, Anastasia was simply a pleasure to host. We are grateful for the time she spent with us at out hostel and wish her all the best in her future travels and adventures. We would happily recommend her to any future host

We had a great Workaway experience! First, let’s talk about the facilities. We had our own bedroom in a quiet part of the house, and we shared the bathroom only with the cats when they ate🤣! Second,the finca is so beautiful, and we enjoyed the view in the morning and after work. The three of them have been so welcoming that when we left, we felt like leaving good friends! Claudia is a great cook, with very varied dishes and so very good! Now, the work. Stefan had some projects in mind and would help us and discuss them in the morning and would let us work on them , coming regularly to see if we needed anything or clarification. We were very happy with the projects we had: building shelves for mushrooms , packing / preparation of mushrooms for growth/re-roofing the chicken coop , and a bit of weeding. We were very lucky to get to know the family and will cherish this experience with them for a long time!

Que les puedo decir de Lea y Emma, son encantadoras, siempre trabajaron con entusiasmo, responsabilidad y una excelente actitud. Además, son personas muy divertidas, amables y respetuosas, lo que hizo que la convivencia fuera muy agradable. Estamos muy agradecidos por todo lo que aportaron y las recomendamos totalmente a cualquier anfitrión. ¡Esperamos volver a verlas algún día! 😊 Muy buen viaje.

This was so far one of my most favorite spots to volunteer! Wilson is so kind and made sure I and other volunteers feel comfortable and like home. The job is not complicated- reception tasks and keeping the area around the hostel clean. Wilson also went above and beyond by booking me on a tour to see la Fortuna. If was such a beautiful tour and time here. Love la Fortuna itself, so many things to do and explore! Recommend this workaway 🫶✨️

I volunteered here for three weeks, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The hostel is beautiful, clean, well-organized, and located in a perfect spot to explore La Fortuna and all the incredible nature surrounding it. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, making it easy to feel at home and connect with both guests and other volunteers. A special thank you goes to Wilson, the manager, who is truly one of the best hosts I have met during my travels. He is kind, patient, supportive, and always available whenever you need help or have questions. He does a great job creating a positive environment where everyone feels welcome and appreciated. My role was as a receptionist, and the tasks were very simple and straightforward. The work was well organized, and there was always plenty of free time to explore the area. One of the biggest perks was having access to free tours and activities, which made the whole experience even more memorable. I met so many wonderful people from all over the world, and the volunteer team was fantastic. We shared great moments together, both at the hostel and during our adventures around La Fortuna. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a volunteer experience with a great balance between work, social life, and exploration. Thank you, Wilson and the entire team, for making my stay so special!

Bea was a wonderful volunteer at our center. She is a kind, friendly, person who quickly became part of our educational community. During her stay, she taught English alongside our local teachers and contributed positively to the learning environment. She was always cooperative, and eager to help students improve their language skills. We truly appreciated her dedication and positive attitude. Luis was a tremendous help around our home. He worked hard and was respectful. He did his best with every job we asked of him—everything from digging up rocks and cleaning trash to providing technical assistance. He always approached his tasks with a smile on his face. Even my five-year-old enjoyed his company, and Luis always made time to answer and discuss everything my child asked him. Luis is a true treasure and is always welcome back in our home anytime he is in the area.

Descubrimos un lugar tranquilo y hermoso, donde comimos delicioso, descansamos muy bien y nos sentimos acogidas con muchísimo cariño. Hicieron que esta experiencia fuera realmente especial. Entre los caballos, la jardinería, la pintura, las caminatas, las cabalgatas y las partidas de Monopoly, vivimos una semana llena de momentos inolvidables. I had a wonderful experience in Daintree. The beautiful nature made this place very special, and the hosts were kind and welcoming. It was also great to meet and spend time with the other people staying there. Even though my English wasn’t very good, they were patient and helped me improve it. Alex’s wife’s cooking was amazing. I really enjoyed all the meals she prepared. I highly recommend this place.

Katie and Konrad are fantastic hosts! My experience with them will be hard to top! Having completed many Workaways themselves, they bring a unique understanding to hosting, which made this opportunity feel extra special. From the very beginning, I felt incredibly welcomed, cared for, and appreciated. I loved hearing about their travel adventures and learning from their experiences. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and have helped me tremendously with my own travel plans. I really enjoyed helping them while also learning new skills along the way. Having exposure to both German and Catalan in the home was such a unique and enriching experience as well. Thank you both for your kindness and generosity. I couldn’t have asked for a better Workaway experience and would highly recommend Katie and Konrads’ Workaway opportunity.

We enjoyed hosting Pénélope and Antoine for 4 weeks. They are open and pleasant. They work well together and have fun with their everyday tasks. Antoine has an incredible amount of energy and Pénélope helped a lot with computer technical stuff. They participated in our spiritual ceremonies and sharing circles and it was a pleasure to see them grow emotionally and spiritually. I feel overall they always had the best of intentions and always did their best. We wish them well on their journey.

It was a pleasure having Charlotte stay with us. Although her stay was short, we would have loved to have had her with us for much longer. Charlotte fitted in so well with everyone in our family. She was wonderful with the children and always willing to help around the house. She has a calm and peaceful presence, and her lovely personality made her a joy to be around. She put great effort into helping with Andre’s party, and we really appreciated all her help. One thing we especially valued was how attentive she was to the children’s wellbeing. If she noticed anything concerning that we may have missed, she kindly brought it to our attention to ensure the children’s health and safety were always looked after. We truly appreciated her honesty and thoughtfulness. Charlotte would be a wonderful addition to any host family. She approaches every task with willingness and care, and we highly recommend her.

We feel incredibly lucky that Azura chose to stay with us. From the very beginning, communication was effortless, and that ease continued throughout her entire stay. She is a genuinely wonderful person to have around and quickly became a valued part of our home. Azura is proactive and hardworking. She takes great care in everything she does. She helped us in so many different ways: preparing for our move by carefully packing our belongings, light maintenance, creative projects, preparing delicious meals, etc. Whatever she was doing, she was always organised and thorough. One of the things we appreciated most was how tidy and considerate she was. She kept shared spaces immaculate, was always willing to help, and consistently went above and beyond without needing to be asked. Hosting her felt effortless. We would also like to give a special mention to how wonderful she was with our baby. He absolutely adored her and would often seek her out just for a smile or a cuddle. In her free time, she would happily play with him or read him stories, and it was clear how naturally caring and kind she is. We weren't looking for childcare, but if we had been, we would have trusted her completely. Beyond all of her practical help, Azura was simply a joy to spend time with. She is warm, thoughtful, curious, and brought so much positivity to our household. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her and sharing experiences together. We cannot recommend Azura highly enough. Any future host would be incredibly lucky to welcome her into their home. She truly embodies everything we love about the Workaway experience and will always be welcome back with us. More than a workawayer, she became our friend, one we hope to stay in touch with for many years to come.
