Hello! I’m originally from California, but I’ve called Japan home for over 20 years. A few years ago, I moved to Katsuura on the beautiful Boso Peninsula in Chiba — a place that reminds me of the California coastline… only better!
I’m restoring and developing a 2-acre home overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and I’m looking for friendly, enthusiastic Workawayers to join the journey.
If you have experience or interest in organic farming, landscaping, gardening, or general DIY projects, I’d love to hear from you. Creatives, makers, and culinary enthusiasts are also more than welcome — we love cooking together and enjoying the incredible fresh fish and vegetables from the area.
This is a hands-on, inspiring environment where you can:
Get involved in growing and tending our organic gardens
Help on creative landscaping and building projects
Share your cooking skills (or learn new ones) in our open kitchen
Enjoy the ocean views, surf spots, and nature trails right outside the door.

We offer a place to stay, help and learn in a local town. The rich history of the area and natural beauty of the surroundings offer unique chance to learn language, history and culture of Japan.

Ayuda
We are located in Katsuura, Chiba in a national park next to the beach only 1 hour 40 minutes from Tokyo. We are looking for handy people to help with garden and landscaping. The help will consist of gardening, landscaping(grass cutting, weeds, tree trimming) and occasional fixing items around the premises.
