Other than that they live in what I believe is one of the most beautiful properties of the Bay Area, surrounded by nature and with an ocean view but at the same time just about 15 minutes away from half moon bay which allows you to move around pretty easily. I’m so grateful I got the chance to be part of this wonderful family and I would definitely recommend this experience.

Being my first experience with workaway I did not know exactly what to expect. I choose this family and I am sure it was the absolute best decision. … read more inspiring. Their children are very sweet and energetic and it was nice to make such a strong bond with them. We were always discovering new activities and it's fun to spend time together. Alessandra and Mateo are nice, open-minded and very helpful. Thank you again for Mateo Alessandra and how they involved me in their family activities and have given me the opportunity to do a lot of new experiences, try new foods and fully experience the California lifestyle. The house is located in a huge property surrounded by greenery with a beautiful view of the ocean. It is located just 15 minutes from half moon bay and 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches, and amazing surfing. They offered me an extra car, unfortunately I do not have a driver's license but Alessandra and Mateo have always been kind and helpful in being able to help in the movements to different places I wanted to go when they could. I am very happy with my experience, I have formed a strong bond of friendship in California with my family and can not wait to return to visit them.
Essendo la mia prima esperienza workaway non sapevo esattamente cosa aspettarmi. Scegliere questa famiglia penso sia stata la miglior decisione in assoluto. Ho vissuto con loro per due mesi e mezzo ed è stato come far parte della famiglia. Non lo considero tutt’ora come un lavoro perché vivere con Mateo, Alessandra e i loro due figli Gemma e Nico è stato divertente e ispirante. I bambini sono dolcissimi, energici ed è stato bello stringere un legame così forte con loro; sono sempre alla scoperta di nuove attività ed è divertente trascorrere il tempo insieme. Alessandra e Mateo sono simpatici, di mente aperta e molto disponibili. Li ringrazio ancora per come mi abbiano coinvolto nelle loro attività familiari e mi abbiano dato modo di fare tantissime nuove esperienze, provare nuovi cibi e vivere a pieno lo stile di vita californiano.
La casa si trova in un enorme proprietà immersa nel verde con una bellissima vista che da sull’oceano. é situata a soli 15 minuti da half moon bay e a 10 minuti dalle stupende spiagge, perfette per fare surf. Loro mi hanno offerto una macchina extra, purtroppo io non ho la patente ma Alessandra e Mateo si sono sempre dimostrati gentili e disponibili nel potermi aiutare negli spostamenti quando potevano. It sounds very strange call this experience “workaway” because I can’t describe the two months i spent with this family as a job affair. Staying almost two months with Mateo, Ale, Gemma and Nico was like having a second family, a cool, open minded, sweet, funny, careful, out of the ordinary, american, italian second family.

… read more beautiful property at 10 minutes from Half Moon Bay and one hour from SF, which permits to enjoy the amazing view of the sunset over the sea, go out for a wolk among deers and rabbits and at the same time, take the car and discover the cool atmosphere of San Francisco.
My work consisted mainly in taking care of the kids, doing same housework, cooking or helping Ale and Mateo with some of their ranch activities. They are both very sweet and understandable and you’ll love listening to the stories of their many trips.
The kids are adorable! They are always ready for a new adventure and before you know it, you will be able to conquer their love.
At last, I definitely recommend this family! I am very glad about these two months in which I met many cool people from all over the world, I tried new foods, I learned more about the country life, but above all, I found real friends who I shared my Californian experience with.
