Descripción
We are Rodrigo, Gabriela, and our 4-year-old son, Raul, a family living in the rural area of Brazil. We use to live in the city and moved to a rural town where our family had a farm and are learning to live on the land. Our project is set on a beautiful centennial farm, where we aim to create a eco-friendly environment. The volunteering revolves around farming and gardening, with a emphasis on cultural exchange. We are also inspired by permaculture and agroecology. We welcome volunteers who are passionate about nature, sustainability, and learning new skills, while embracing the challenges and rewards of rural living.

Ayuda
We need enthusiastic volunteers to help with various tasks, including farming, gardening, eco-building, repairing structures and general maintenance. You'll be involved in activities like caring for our small blueberry plantation, caring for our garden, managing banana trees and assisting with bioconstruction or maintenance projects. We also ask that all volunteers contribute to keeping our common spaces clean and organized, as well as participate in the preparation and cleanup of meals. If you're ready to get your hands dirty and enjoy a mix of activities, you'll fit right in.

Volunteers stay in a shared room or, if available, a private room within our farmhouse, with access to basic amenities. We provide breakfast, and volunteers are expected to cook their own meals and share the responsibility of maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area. The shared kitchen is well-equipped, and we often cook and eat together. It's a great way to bond and learn from each other!

In your free time, you can explore the beautiful surroundings of Ubajara. The Ubajara National Park is nearby, offering a cable car ride, stunning caves, waterfalls, and trekking opportunities. You can also visit local markets, engage in community events, or simply enjoy the tranquility of our farm. We can also provide guidance on the best ways to get to know the region.
Here are some guidelines for ensuring a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Maintenance: Everyone must help keep shared spaces (rooms, kitchen, bathrooms) clean and organized. This is a collective responsibility.
Respect: Mutual respect is crucial. Treat everyone—residents, volunteers, and visitors—with courtesy, considering cultural and personal differences.
Safety and Well-Being: Take care of your safety and health. Use protective gear when necessary and inform us of any health issues.
Illness: If a volunteer is sick and unable to work, we allow them to stay bedridden for two days. If they aren’t able to work by the third day, we ask them to seek medical help.
Food: Participate in meal preparation and cleaning up afterward.
Sustainability: Practice sustainable habits like saving water and energy and sorting waste for composting.Un poco más de información

It was great to host him, he was very helpful and dependable.
He helped me in the mapping of the farm and did a good job on the banana trees.
Wish you the best, man!
