Hi,
I am Antonio, 46, Italian.12 years ago i radically change my life and start to travel since i root in the beautiful hills of western Algarve.
I am trying my best to be a farmer, organic, sustainable and have a low footprint lifestyle.
----------------------------IMPORTANT TEMPORARY SITUATION----------------------------
I have coxarthrosis or arthrosi of the hip...in 3/4 month (april or june hopefully) i am gonna have surgery in Portugal.In the meantime i am gonna also go in Italy to have a second opinion, the plan B.So the project slow down at minimum speed due the pain and my absence, followed by rehabilitation and healing after the surgery...I am looking for medium- long period helpers that can, when and if necessary, take care of the dogs and the house.More details will come with time, so we can talk about it, if you are interested.

You are welcome with your own van/car.I have 2 friendly female dogs, if you have also a dog or pet we will figure out case by case, but generally should be ok.
My place atm can be uncomfortable from some people, so i like to host people very motivated and interested, even without experience or particular skills.For me is very important the real interest into the self sustainable low cost lifestyle.
I quit alcohol and tobacco, i can handle moderate users,but not abusers...
I am very open to share my experience and help people to get rid of addiction, particularly with the social accepted government ones. You are welcome to give it a try, but this is up to you!
No internet at home, smartphone use not welcome....A tech detox and go back to a nice natural real life is also part of the concept,as to be you the smart one between yourself and your phone....Anyhow master your technology, not the opposite....

I am located on the Rota Vicentina.Beaches are walk distance, I can borrow bikes, anyhow i usually drive the dogs everyday to one.
Closer one is 6 km (Bordeira beach),I don't surf so i don't know nothing about waves and i don't have any equipment...
Food is italian mediterranean style, locally and seasonally reinterpreted, open to vegetarian, but i am not...anyhow i eat more local, seasonal and sustainable as possible.
I can teach classic italian recipes.

Start new home stay from zero. Mostly forest cleaning, carpentry, few gardening atm,and of course moving and re-organise stuff.
I am starting a new project from scratch, for the 6th time..., in a plot of 2,5 ha.
The new amazing final place has 1 ha of flat land where I build the new wood house (work in progress), container workshop, well, carport and the new garden set up...and 1,5 ha of hill side very wild and abandoned that needs hard core cleaning.Anyhow a lot of tasks, very interesting to who wanna start an off-grid life!
All the project is inspired on permaculture, but i am not a teacher or a a fanatic.Instead i am fanatic of recycling and restoring, give new life on object, buy as less as possible and find cheap solutions, without compromise efficiency and beauty.

No bus services, but a lot of lovely people driving around, hitch-hicking is very easy and funny.The best beaches and waves of Algarve are less then 10 km, sud and west coast.
Biking and hicking is amazing!
