The three of us, José (67 years old), (57 years old) and Alessandra (35 years old) emigrated from Switzerland to Portugal a few years ago and bought a quinta in the countryside here in Portugal, Montemor-o-Novo, which we restored and converted. We have animals such as cats, dogs, chickens, sheep and horses that are no longer ridden. Our daughter Alessandra is disabled (Trisomy 21) and accompanies us everywhere. We like to eat fresh food from our own garden and our own meat (lamb). We live here in a very rural area on 9 hectares and are always trying to connect more with nature. The three of us work more or less 7 days a week in and on our paradise, but without stress and with a lot of joy. We produce our own olive oil, for which we need helpers in autumn/winter. Since my husband has rheumatism, he is happy to get help with chopping wood, gardening, painting and whatever else needs to be done. We ourselves have not smoked for a few years and enjoy a glass of wine with our meals. We are honest people and value respectful interaction and have no problem if the other person has a different opinion. I think we are uncomplicated and open.
We would offer a nice room with a bathroom and food for a total of 4 - 5 hours a day/5 days a week.
Wir drei, José (67J.), (57J.) und Alessandra (35J.) sind vor paar Jahren aus der Schweiz nach Portugal ausgewandert und haben uns hier in Portugal, Montemor-o-Novo auf dem Land eine Quinta gekauft, welche wir restauriert und umgebaut haben. Wir haben Tiere, wie Katzen, Hunde, Hühner, Schafe und nicht mehr gerittene Pferde. Unsere Tochter Alessandra ist behindert (Trisomie 21) und begleitet uns überall hin. Wir ernähren uns gerne frisch vom eigenen Garten und unserem eigenem Fleisch (Lamm). Wir leben hier sehr ländlich auf 9 HA und versuchen uns immer wie mehr mit der Natur zu verbinden. Wir drei arbeiten mehr oder weniger 7 Tage die Woche in und an unserem Paradies, jedoch ohne Stress und mit viel Freude. Wir produzieren unser eigenes Olivenöl, für welches wir im Herbst/Winter jeweils Helfer benötigen. Da mein Mann Rheuma hat, ist er froh wenn er Hilfe fürs Holzen, Gartenarbeit, Malerarbeit und halt was so anfällt bekommt. Wir selber sind seit einigen Jahren Nichtraucher, trinken gerne ein Glas Wein zum Essen. Wir sind ehrliche Menschen und schätzen den respektvollen Umgang und haben kein Problem, wenn das Gegenüber eine andere Meinung vertritt. Ich denke wir sind unkompliziert und offen.
Wir würden gegen gesamt 4 - 5 Stunden täglich/5 Tage die Woche ein schönes Zimmer mit Badezimmer und Essen bieten.

Family connection, healthy and mostly organic food, restaurant visits, board games, campfire with a glass of wine. Depending on the season, use the natural swimming pond, picnic on our idyllic property, enjoy the peace and quiet here and let your soul unwind. If you're looking for the party life, then you've come to the wrong place. That means our daughter loves to dance and do playback shows, so we do that now and then with loud music outside or inside (but we don't force anyone to do it).
Familienanschluss, gesundes und meistens Bioessen, Restaurantbesuch, Gesellschaftsspiele, Lagerfeuer mit einem Glas Wein. Je nach Jahreszeit den Naturschwimmteich benutzen, Picknick auf unserem idyllischen Grundstück, die Ruhe hier geniessen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Wenn jemand das Partyleben sucht, dann ist man hier falsch. Das heisst unsere Tochter liebt es zu tanzen und Playbackshow machen, dann tun wir das ab und zu mit lauter Musik draussen oder drinnen (zwingen jedoch niemanden dazu).

As already described above, we are always happy to receive help with various tasks: olive harvest, wood chopping, painting, gardening, cutting trees, collecting branches on the property, then sawing, splitting and stacking them, mowing the lawn, mucking out the open stable, collecting hay bales and/or just stacking them, mucking out the chicken coop, feeding pasture animals, maybe helping to load up a lamb, cleaning the natural swimming pond in Jan./Feb. (draining water, minimizing plants and cleaning with high pressure.
Wie oben bereits beschrieben, sind wir jeweils froh, wenn wir für verschiedene Arbeiten Hilfe erhalten: Olivenernte, Holzen, Malerarbeiten, Garten, Bäume schneiden, Aeste auf dem Grundstück sammeln, dann zersägen, spalten und stapeln, Rasen mähen, mal den Offenstall misten, Heuballen holen und oder nur stapeln, Hühnerhaus misten, Weideiere füttern, evt. mal helfen ein Lamm aufzuladen, im Jan./Feb. Naturschwimmteich reinigen (Wasser ablassen, Pflanzen minimieren und mit Hochdruck reinigen.

Nice, clean and high-quality room with bathroom in the guesthouse next to our house. Everyone prepares their own breakfast (natural provisions are of course provided by the host), but is usually eaten together. Lunch and dinner are prepared with love and enjoyed together. Drinks (own water source) are of course also provided and a glass of wine or beer :)
Schönes sauberes und hochwertiges Zimmer mit Badezimmer im Gästehaus neben unserem Haus. Frühstück bereitet jeder selbst für sich zu (Naturalien werden natürlich vom Host gestellt), wird jedoch in der Regel gemeinsam eingenommen. Mittagessen und Abendessen wird mit Liebe zubereitet und gemeinsam genossen. Getränke (eigene Wasserquelle) werden natürlich auch gestellt und ein Gläschen Wein oder Bier :)
