Our family is creating a trans-Mexico adventure motorcycle and overlanding loop from the United States to Guatemala and back to the US. The endeavor takes massive amounts of work to create. We are linking many of Mexico's most impressive Aztec, Maya, Zapotec, and other archaeological sites, colonial cities, canyons, lakes, volcanoes, and more by mostly dirt roads and tracks to create one of the greatest adventure routes in the world. When finished it will have over 50 points of interest to visit and cover over 18,000 kilometers. We live on Lake Chapala, just outside of Guadalajara, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. We are currently riding/driving the route with our Toyota FJ Cruiser overlander and KTM and Suzuki motorbikes. We have spent years studying Mexico's geography and land infrastructure and have created GPX tracks as potential route options. We need to verify them and ensure that the route is as good as it can possibly be, so now we are in the backcountry riding the routes. Because we need to show the world how amazing these tracks are and what amazing sites Mexico has to offer we are running 9 action cameras, Nikon and Sony DSLRs, as well as 3 DJI drones to document the creation of this amazing project. It is an opportunity to explore parts of Mexico that almost nobody ever gets to see and visit stunning places from pyramids and caves to canyons and forests. Yet, the roads are rough, we are often camping in the wilderness and days are long, so it is a project only for those with great strength of mind and a burning desire to see and do what has never been done before. We need help filming, combined with the normal day-to-day activities of setting up and taking down camp, cooking, and other normal camp activities. You will be provided with a tent, sleeping cushion, food and travel expenses related to our route (i.e., we cover fuel costs, vehicle maintenance and repairs). We have a Starlink high-speed internet connection that we usually connect for a few hours each day in the evenings to communicate with friends and loved ones, and do research for our trip.

You will benefit by living an intense experience that will take you as far from civilization as a person can go on roads or tracks in Mexico. You will do a lot of filming and living life to the maximum. You will explore volcanoes, visit canyons, swim in rivers and lakes, hike through forests, and interact with people from all walks of life including people from indigenous communities including Zapotecs, Tsotsils, Mixtecos, Mayas and more. We live life to the maximum, know that it is a privilege to create such a route and try to suck the marrow out of life in all that we do! Carpe diem.

You must be a strong-minded person who loves adventure traveling, that is to say, camping, exploring, learning, and walking in the backcountry. Additionally, you must have a passion for videography or photography. While it is a real privilege to create the ridemex and overandmex adventure route through forests and deserts in wild topography it is not for the faint of heart. We need an open-minded individual who enjoys interacting with people from varied cultures as we often find ourselves in small villages with people from varied indigenous backgrounds. The three of us working on the project speak Spanish and English.

When we camp you will be provided with a tent, when we stay at a hotel you will be provided with a room, or when we stay with friends or people we meet along the way your accommodations will be taken care of by us. We will provide the food made at camp or at the homes of people that we meet. You are expected to help with food preparation and clean up. If you decided to go out to eat when we are in civilization you are expected to cover your own meal bills.
