Hi, we're a hostel located in the center of Tulum. Although we are not a party hostel we like to socialize and have a good time with everyone. We aim to be the home away from home for many travelers that stay with us. To do this we organize day activities to get to know the area (beach, cenotes, ruins) and night activities. We have a big kitchen, Netflix room, pod-like beds and sociable common areas.
Your task as a volunteer will be to help out in creating a family and friendly vibe with all our guests!
Help: We would like our workawayers to give us a hand in Reception and organizing activities. Have fun creating a cool event during the week such as going to the beach, cooking something delicious, sharing some knowledge on restaurants, cool bars, day-trips, yoga sessions, a dance class you name it! Anything you feel comfortable with and that most guests can take part in.
Basically you will be the soul of our place.
Please note, minimum stay is 4 weeks. No maximum stay.

You will get to meet new people on a daily basis, socialize with locals and immerse yourself into the Mexican culture.

We always aim to have a team of 5-6 volunteers who are easy-going, sociable, and friendly who can help us with reception, socialize with our guests and get them involved in our activities.
We offer activities during the day and the evenings which we would love you to get involved with and help you explore Tulum in the process and get to know the local culture.
Although we have local staff that do the cleaning and maintenance, we do expect you to be aware of your new home, cleaning after yourself ( just like all the guests do) and keeping the common areas organized.

Tulum is surrounded by incredible cenotes and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are easily accessible by public transportation. We aim to be flexible with the shifts so you can plan trip to near by cities and site.

LUM was my first Workaway and had a great experience.
The team was made up of amazing people that were all very welcoming. The hostle is clean, with a big kitchen, close to many cenotes and a short bike ride to the beach. All the shifts were straight forward and super fun.

Akos was an absolute pleasure to host and was very popular with all our staff and guests. He helped make our guests feel at home, take them out for street food and show them around the town on our daily activities.
He could only stay for 2 weeks as he was here on holiday but we wish we could of kept him forever.
